Chicken & Croffle
Kel O.

Love the chicken and croffle here! I do wish the there was just as much croffle as there is chicken on the plate. That would balance it out and make it 10x better :) it's always packed here, so if you're a bigger party you just gotta be willing to wait. Service is always good the times I've stopped by .

LocoMoco
Steven T.

I came here for brunch with some friends and ordered the loco moco (pictured). We also shared a few pitchers of mimosas, which were a fun addition to the meal. The service was good and our server was attentive. That said, the food was just okay. The meat in the loco moco was pretty bland. I had to add salt and extra sauce to bring out more flavor. Overall, nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. I'd say it's a pretty average spot for brunch.

The small bite French Toast. Yummmmmm!!

Very fast service at the diner and food is delicious!!! Everyone works so hard and there was a long line but I'm glad we waited. Thanks for a good time! We will be back when in town

Hot Stone Pot with chicken
Andrea K.

Our first time visiting Mill Valley after a hike, and decided to try this popular fusion brunch spot. Overall, the service and vibes were great, but the food is just okay. I got the hot stone pot because everyone on Yelp seems to love it. It came in a huge sizzling stone pot, which made everything very nicely crispy. To my surprise, the sauce was closer to a sriracha and not gochujang, and the choice of veggies were just okay. My friends also agreed that their food was just okay, and prices are steep for what we got.

Loco moco

Lovely ambiance, bright sunlight and soft jazz music on a clean and friendly setting. A typical Bay Area cast -- Asian owner / waitress, Mexican cooks, and Mill Valley clientele. Not cheap but quality ingredients, you can spend $30 or more on breakfast, especially if you try the Gojuchang bacon like I did. My primary dish was the loco moco, a hearty 1/2 lb burger patty was the main attraction, I found it overcooked and under seasoned. The edible flowers and pickled veggies were a nice touch however. But for me the larger patty unbalanced the normal proportions of loco moco, YMMV. The bacon was tasty but not as flavorful as Millionaire's bacon like you find in other places. But overall a pleasant hangout in warm Marin climes.

Small rustic cafe in the middle of hangar style offices. Julie was so sweet and took such good care of us! The food was fresh and delicious Really enjoyed the sourdough bread on my chicken pesto sandwich and my partner's egg benedict

We are sitting outside enjoying Bloody Marys! What a lovely view! The perfect place to visit with friends. Ricardo is amazing! In fact everyone is so helpful and nice!

I'm not aware of nearby Korean dishes (other than San Korean Cafe in San Quentin) so imagine my surprise that this restaurant was serving a "Hot Stone Pot"! I missed the taste of a good bibimbap so I went for it. Lo and behold, there it was! The flavorful sensation I have been missing! They provide a hot stone pot (how nice of them to warn you that it is very hot haha) full of rice with various vegetables and a sunny-side-up egg on top, as well as one of three choices of protein (I got chicken mango). It was sooo good! It was not dried out! You also had to mix it yourself so it gives you the much-welcomed idea that you are preparing/serving it yourself. They also routinely and kindly ask to refill your water and coffee so that was nice. This will be one of my preferred breakfast spots! Bon appetit!

good serving size especially the ones in the pot! ube latte was okay, could have more ube flavor than milky, but overall food was good. even pancake that was a side was fluffy, delicious and nicely paired with fresh fruit!

Morning Tacos. I asked for sliced tomatoes instead of potatoes. Everything was yummy.

I drove all the way across the bridge for brunch today. Delicious, fresh, innovative egg dishes, an extremely friendly and accommodating staff make this cozy Mill Valley spot a real winner. Not many places say "welcome in" when you arrive and "thank you for coming " when you leave. I love this place.

Hot Stone Pot

This is one of our favorite meals and it comes sizzling and loaded with a bunch of delicious toppings!! I love the stone pot and the way it's served, with so many flavors it's definitely worth trying. They have outdoor seating too which is nice, but can get a bit chilly being in Mill Valley. The staff was constantly checking on us and making sure our water and coffees were filled up!

Bulgogi Benny
Cidney L.

Overall, great brunch spot with unique dishes. There is an Asian influence in their menu items, with bulgogi as a meat option for many dishes. Does get busy on the weekends, so go early to put your name down! I wish the chicken and croffle came with more croffle to eat with the chicken.

Bulgogi Tacos
Karishma P.

Very cute café/breakfast place to come start your day. really enjoyed the artichoke beignets but they are more like small fried poppers. Subbed the bulgogi for tofu so missed a part of flavor but overall good. Service was a bit slow for not being that busy but they were nice.

The flavors were authentic and flavorful without being overly Americanized. The pork curry was absolutely delicious and is definitely a must-order. I also got the tea leaf salad and immediately wished I had ordered the large because you can never have enough tea leaf salad. The palata was a great starter -- flaky, warm, and exactly what you'd want. The miso black cod was another standout. The broth it was simmered in was incredibly flavorful, and the fish was perfectly cooked. The garlic noodles were also done really well with the right noodles and great flavor -- honestly better than some places known specifically for garlic noodles. And of course, the coconut rice is always worth ordering. We skipped dessert since nothing really stood out, but I would love to see them add more traditional Burmese desserts like faluda in the future. Parking wasn't too difficult, especially if you circle around the back neighborhood area. The wait was reasonable, the outdoor patio seating was nice, and the service was attentive throughout the meal. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when craving Burmese food.

They've been there often, it seems. I'd be pleased to join them there again. We had a pho and a noodle dish. We split the shishito peppers. My wife prefers less spicy. I'm the opposite. We order calibrated for her. They did fine. My wife remarked afterward it was "Americanized." That is true. It's not necessarily bad. It isn't just Asian cuisines; it's Italian too, and I'd bet just about every other tradition. There is a distinct American version, which an historian could figure out the relationship to the original for, for any "ethnic" dish you'll encounter stateside. Service was brisk. We finished without any concern about making our show.

The staff was friendly, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. Our disappointment was solely with the food. The Pad Thai was, without question, the worst Pad Thai I've ever had. It arrived cold to lukewarm, lacked any flavor (some thought it tasted like soap?), and was honestly unappetizing. Multiple people in our group ordered it, and every single person had the same reaction after taking a few bites. Not one of us was able to make a dent in the meal. We also ordered the green curry, yellow curry, and potstickers. Unfortunately, those dishes were subpar as well and didn't make up for the experience. We did let the manager know about our concerns before leaving. I'm writing this review in the hope that the restaurant takes the feedback seriously and considers improving the recipes. This place has a lot of potential, it's in a great location and seems like it could be a great spot for both small and large groups, but the food simply doesn't live up to it.

My husband and I arrived on a Saturday in the late afternoon and there was already a wait for walk-ins. We were impressed with the hostess who greeted us at the door. She did a great job letting us know how long the wait would be. We felt that she cared about what she did and wanted to make sure our first impression was a good one. When the wait would have possibly gone longer than the 15-20 that she quoted, she made sure to let us know and why. We felt as if we personally mattered and were not just covers needing to be sat. She offered to get us drinks and gave us menus to peruse while we waited. The kitchen was going at full throttle. Togo orders were flying out the door and more were lining up. Once seated, though friendly, service was not as impressionable as the hostess. We had asked her to stagger the dishes a bit but the three dishes came out all at once. The table was small. We understand that they were busy but that did affect our experience. The Thai Iced Tea was refreshing. We also had Fire Cook Beef, Pad See Ew Noodles, Spicy String Beans and a Side of Steam White Rice. Nice portions. Dishes were nicely spiced so much so that we forgot to ask for a spice rack. We ordered a lot so we could enjoy leftovers -- and the next day, we sure did! Everyone was nice and overall it was a nice meal. We look forward to returning when we are back in the area.

I went in curious and optimistic -- unfortunately, the experience fell flat almost immediately. Upon entering, no one acknowledged us or greeted us at the door. For a restaurant that presents itself as modern and slightly upscale, that lack of front-of-house awareness was noticeable and set an awkward tone from the start. We ordered the vegetable cake, a dish I'm very familiar with and usually love. Texturally, it was decent -- soft inside with a lightly crisp exterior -- but the flavor missed the mark. It tasted under-seasoned yet strangely heavy, with an excess of oil that lingered on the palate. Instead of feeling clean and balanced, it felt weighed down. For context, Palate Garden Party executes this dish far better: brighter flavor, better seasoning, and far less grease -- and at a lower price point. Even with the longer drive, the difference in quality makes it worth it. Dessert was a banana sesame roll dumpling dish that sounded promising on paper. The first bite was interesting, but that novelty disappeared quickly. The dumpling skin was far too thick and overly crunchy, almost stale-textured, which overwhelmed the filling. The interior lacked cohesion and finesse, and the cinnamon flavor felt muddled rather than intentional. We didn't finish it. Across the board, the food leaned excessively greasy, to the point where it didn't feel good to eat. I left feeling heavy and uncomfortable rather than satisfied. The flavors never quite came together, the quality didn't feel refined, and there wasn't enough charm or warmth to compensate for the technical misses. Overall, this isn't a place I'd return to or recommend. There are far better options for Chinese food that offer cleaner flavors, better execution, and a more thoughtful dining experience.
