    Crab Benedict
    Deanna D.

Very nice location on Main Street of San Rafael, perfect ambiance and unique Brunch menu which is fun with some quirky names like McStupid Muffin. The best of what we had .. coffee so good, berries were amazing as were the breakfast potatoes which were so crispy (which is oddly rare at brunch places). The crab Benedict was not thrilling very middle of the road and the Tom Yum omelette was interesting but may be better as a scramble. It would love to try more of their menu!

Unique Thai fusion breakfast. Yep, you read that right! Somehow, it works. We loved the Tom Yum omelet (spicy), the Croffle (croissant + waffle), crab Benedict, and Thai iced tea pancakes. You can also get more ordinary options -- including a range of benedicts. The potatoes are the bomb: so, so crispy without being oily. How do they do it? Service was more efficient than friendly, but that was fine. Coffee was delicious. Will be bringing people here from now on when we need a Marin meeting spot.

Came here for brunch. Surprising how many groups were here on a weekday. Food took long but it was good. The Loco Moco was interesting, more Thai than Hawaiian for sure.

Tutu Lounge on 4th Street in San Rafael is a pleasant surprise relatively new addition to a declining # of restaurants. From cool egg dishes to pancakes w/panache @ brunch to spicy basil dishes it's a keeper! Give it a go & spread the word-Tutu all the way!

I liked this place a lot! The omelette portion seemed a bit small (just 3 shrimp) but the sauce was delicious. It came with mushroom and other veggies. I would have loved more filling. I thought the potatoes were so crunchy and perfect! The coffee is strong and the place is great. We also share Thai tea pancakes. These were fluffy and the Thai sauce was just right! Super perfect and fluffy. We enjoyed the fresh fruit. These so good to dip in the Thai tea sauce. The interior is cute and comfy. Staff are very nice.

    Florentine Eggs Benedict

4.5 stars rounded up. Loved the ambiance of this place with the large format paintings and tall ceilings. Came here for brunch and ordered the eggs Benedict Florentine ($18) which came with house potatoes. OMG those potatoes were the highlight of the dish IMO. Crispy on the outside, buttery on the inside, they nearly melted in my mouth. Daughter ordered the Here's 2 Ya ($19.00) which came with two pancakes, two eggs & two strips of bacon. Pancakes were light and fluffy, and she got her eggs poached which were perfectly cooked served in a bowl. Service was friendly and attentive. Would come back again.

After a nice long hike we decided to give this place a try. Breakfast was eh okay but the hot thai tea was the best part of our visit. The place was easy to find and service was great.

Great salad and service. Lovely location to dine. Lots of ambiance. Will be back to check out more of the menu!

    Pork shoulder, very good!

Super cute inside this place! We all really enjoyed the energy in this restaurant. Light, tranquil & a good flow. We four enjoyed our food. Each of us thought our own dish was the best! :) I had the Basil Chicken. I asked for spicy. It was really good. Slight criticism, perhaps too much fish sauce, in fairness I do not like fish sauce. The two that ordered pork shoulder in red curry, loved theirs! And the presentation of this dish was beautiful. Yellow curry did not disappoint either. Fresh spring roll was good, a bit small, cut into 6 small pieces w/a delicious sauce. Service was good & pleasant. Difficult to understand/hear our server. She had a very thick mask on. She did not offer us dessert, though. We thought it was odd. I will say, they allowed us to sit and talk after dinner for quite sometime. Which I really appreciate. We needed time to catch up. I was surprised the restaurant did not have too many customers for a Saturday night.

Thai tea pancakes, its the sauce for me

Yummy is the best word for this cute little spot..The Thai tea pancakes were pretty good..But I could of ate a bowl of the Thai tea sauce served for them..Absolutely delicious! My fiance had the Spicy Basil Chicken! I'm coming back just for that next time.. The restaurant is really cute, very clean. Service was on top of it and very patient. I had a hard time choosing what to have. I really liked this place and would absolutely return.. I love trying new places, new flavors.. It's the best in life.

    Brunch at Tutu's Lounge
    Rachel H.

Brunch at Tutu's Lounge was... fine. The exposed brick and setting is nice, but the hand-taped signs and sticky laminated menus gives the place a slightly unfinished feel. I had the chicken and waffles: boneless (I prefer bone-in), though the skin was nicely crisp and the meat moist; the croffle tasted pre-made. A croffle is a combination of a croissant and waffle, but this tasted more like a day-old donut. The dish missed the crunch and tang of a good, freshly made waffle. I liked the idea of the basil rice and chicken with egg dish, but I found the sauce too salty. Matcha lattes leaned milky and grey, rather than a vibrant green. I'm generally a fan of Asian-fusion brunch, and local standouts include Sweet Maple's brunch empire with their Millionaire's Bacon (beloved and sorely missed since their Mill Valley exit) set a high bar. I was primed for that kind of fusion here, but it wasn't executed as well. Overall, we may return and try again--brunch is a favorite and local options can be limited--but this wasn't a particularly strong first showing.

Visited Tutu last weekend and was pretty happy with our experience. We came in at opening and were immediately seated. Service was friendly and the food was good. My truffle and mushroom omelette was good and the kids enjoyed their croffles. Their ube latte was delicious! I think the only disappointing dish was the Thai tea pancakes. The pancakes were dry and the Thai tea syrup/sauce didn't really taste like Thai tea. It was also super thick. Overall, pretty good!

    Southern Cal and Farmers Scramble
    Samantha G.

We visited this restaurant for the first time on Saturday! We were greeted immediately upon walking in and it was still busy around 11:45am! We thought we were gonna have a small wait, but to our shock we were immediately seated! Nice surprise! Their service is quick and we really liked that. Brought us waters right away and we asked for a few more moments to review the menu since it was our first time. I ordered the Southern Cal Tutus Egg Benedict and my bf ordered the Farmers Scramble! I wish the scramble was a little better priced because it only came with one slice of toast. Serving size was great, but wish it also had potatoes or 2 plain pancakes for $22. My bf said it lacked flavor too but after adding salt and pepper he said it was decent. As for my Southern Cal Benedict, it was delicious!! I cleared the plate which is rare for me. Absolutely recommend. The staff was super friendly and always checking in! The restaurant itself has a home feeling! We really enjoyed our visit! We will be back!

At the start, there was a bit of a communication barrier with our waiter. I had just wanted to order an iced tea, but she kept saying I couldn't unless I ordered from the lunch menu. I explained that I was totally fine paying full price since I wasn't planning to stick to the lunch menu options, but it took a little back and forth to get that sorted. For food, I ordered the tamarind chicken, which was good, and the portion was massive. The coconut rice was delicious, and the tom kha soup was also good. Overall, the food was solid, but nothing that really stood out as amazing. One thing that did concern me was the water jug they brought to the table--it looked like it had black mold underneath. Unfortunately, noticing that while we were eating made the experience feel a bit off-putting. Because of that, I didn't end up eating the leftovers either. For the price, it was just okay overall.

I've had the tea leaf salad and BBQ pork garlic noodles. I sadly can no longer eat red meat but the BBQ pork was delicious and the garlic noodles were not overly greasy. I forgot to also include that the tea leaf salad here is one of the best I've had! My coworker that I brought there last year had never had Burmese food and I had her try the Tea Leaf Salad (my personal favourite) and she loved it and insisted that was the best salad she's ever had. We're from the South so our palette is different, lol. This place also has a lot of fusion dishes and is very friendly to vegans and vegetarians. This is very important for me due to dietary restrictions. The restaurant was very clean, the decoration was cute and the owner's daughter was incredibly kind. She told us that her mother's recipes were used for the restaurant. I'll be bringing my partner and other friends here when we have time. The only issue is the parking. Parking is insanely frustrating in this area but this place is worth it. Just carpool together and go! The owner's daughter also has a really good memory since we couldn't come back for several months and she still remembered us and our request for ube cheesecake, lol. Edit: Oops, I meant original owner's daughter. I'm not sure if she's the owner now or her mom. Either way, the food is great and service is always kind. It feels especially kind when owners of the business are passionate about their food and encourage their customers! I found the pictures and uploaded them (oops, it was from 2024 not last year too).

Arigatou had a man and woman behind the counter who were both lovely and smiled to welcome us in. The place smelled AMAZING and has lots of nice Japanese decor from traditional-looking arrows, beautiful prints on the walls, cute cat and goose illustrations, books about japan to cute hand drawn cats on the whiteboard. Their rice maker looked like it was worth my mortgage and has a plague on it that reads "R. Icemaker". They were listening to some kind of amazing easy listening music that made me think I was in a Murakami novel. Because we had to wait a little longer than the DoorDash estimate, they happily and kindly threw in some mini ice creams for us, with a nice note on the paper bag, too! The food was really, REALLY good. We got the teriyaki salmon bento, katsu bento and a box of assorted sushi. All of the food was GREAT and we could have easily stopped with the bento boxes because they are extremely good value. Rice, your topping choice (salmon, katsu as mentioned for us) 2-3 gyoza that were delicious, and a little salad for $16. The sushi box was also packed full. I can't recommend this place more, I'll be going back a LOT!
