On a rare visit to our friends in San Rafael the four of us went out to brunch Saturday around 11am. We started off with Bloody Mary's. Took a few sips before I remembered to take a photo. We agreed there was enough booze in the drink. A good variety of breakfast items which the four of us were aiming for. Although it's an Asian fusion place, our breakfast items were American. Ordered - * I had the pancakes with two eggs and choice of sausage, bacon, or ham. I chose ham. It was Canadian bacon which I liked. * hubby & friend had the waffle, two eggs, and choice of sausage, bacon or ham. Hubby had bacon while friend had sausage. The Belgian waffle was a good size and crisp. * other friend had the mushroom omelette with potatoes and wheat bread. He enjoyed the entire plate. Good portion sizes. Service was attentive. Water refilled as necessary. We found metered street parking. Located in the business district.

Very nice location on Main Street of San Rafael, perfect ambiance and unique Brunch menu which is fun with some quirky names like McStupid Muffin. The best of what we had .. coffee so good, berries were amazing as were the breakfast potatoes which were so crispy (which is oddly rare at brunch places). The crab Benedict was not thrilling very middle of the road and the Tom Yum omelette was interesting but may be better as a scramble. It would love to try more of their menu!

Unique Thai fusion breakfast. Yep, you read that right! Somehow, it works. We loved the Tom Yum omelet (spicy), the Croffle (croissant + waffle), crab Benedict, and Thai iced tea pancakes. You can also get more ordinary options -- including a range of benedicts. The potatoes are the bomb: so, so crispy without being oily. How do they do it? Service was more efficient than friendly, but that was fine. Coffee was delicious. Will be bringing people here from now on when we need a Marin meeting spot.

Came here for brunch. Surprising how many groups were here on a weekday. Food took long but it was good. The Loco Moco was interesting, more Thai than Hawaiian for sure.

After a nice long hike we decided to give this place a try. Breakfast was eh okay but the hot thai tea was the best part of our visit. The place was easy to find and service was great.

I liked this place a lot! The omelette portion seemed a bit small (just 3 shrimp) but the sauce was delicious. It came with mushroom and other veggies. I would have loved more filling. I thought the potatoes were so crunchy and perfect! The coffee is strong and the place is great. We also share Thai tea pancakes. These were fluffy and the Thai sauce was just right! Super perfect and fluffy. We enjoyed the fresh fruit. These so good to dip in the Thai tea sauce. The interior is cute and comfy. Staff are very nice.

4.5 stars rounded up. Loved the ambiance of this place with the large format paintings and tall ceilings. Came here for brunch and ordered the eggs Benedict Florentine ($18) which came with house potatoes. OMG those potatoes were the highlight of the dish IMO. Crispy on the outside, buttery on the inside, they nearly melted in my mouth. Daughter ordered the Here's 2 Ya ($19.00) which came with two pancakes, two eggs & two strips of bacon. Pancakes were light and fluffy, and she got her eggs poached which were perfectly cooked served in a bowl. Service was friendly and attentive. Would come back again.

Tutu Lounge on 4th Street in San Rafael is a pleasant surprise relatively new addition to a declining # of restaurants. From cool egg dishes to pancakes w/panache @ brunch to spicy basil dishes it's a keeper! Give it a go & spread the word-Tutu all the way!

Yummy is the best word for this cute little spot..The Thai tea pancakes were pretty good..But I could of ate a bowl of the Thai tea sauce served for them..Absolutely delicious! My fiance had the Spicy Basil Chicken! I'm coming back just for that next time.. The restaurant is really cute, very clean. Service was on top of it and very patient. I had a hard time choosing what to have. I really liked this place and would absolutely return.. I love trying new places, new flavors.. It's the best in life.

    Pork shoulder, very good!

Super cute inside this place! We all really enjoyed the energy in this restaurant. Light, tranquil & a good flow. We four enjoyed our food. Each of us thought our own dish was the best! :) I had the Basil Chicken. I asked for spicy. It was really good. Slight criticism, perhaps too much fish sauce, in fairness I do not like fish sauce. The two that ordered pork shoulder in red curry, loved theirs! And the presentation of this dish was beautiful. Yellow curry did not disappoint either. Fresh spring roll was good, a bit small, cut into 6 small pieces w/a delicious sauce. Service was good & pleasant. Difficult to understand/hear our server. She had a very thick mask on. She did not offer us dessert, though. We thought it was odd. I will say, they allowed us to sit and talk after dinner for quite sometime. Which I really appreciate. We needed time to catch up. I was surprised the restaurant did not have too many customers for a Saturday night.

Visited Tutu last weekend and was pretty happy with our experience. We came in at opening and were immediately seated. Service was friendly and the food was good. My truffle and mushroom omelette was good and the kids enjoyed their croffles. Their ube latte was delicious! I think the only disappointing dish was the Thai tea pancakes. The pancakes were dry and the Thai tea syrup/sauce didn't really taste like Thai tea. It was also super thick. Overall, pretty good!

My husband and I arrived on a Saturday in the late afternoon and there was already a wait for walk-ins. We were impressed with the hostess who greeted us at the door. She did a great job letting us know how long the wait would be. We felt that she cared about what she did and wanted to make sure our first impression was a good one. When the wait would have possibly gone longer than the 15-20 that she quoted, she made sure to let us know and why. We felt as if we personally mattered and were not just covers needing to be sat. She offered to get us drinks and gave us menus to peruse while we waited. The kitchen was going at full throttle. Togo orders were flying out the door and more were lining up. Once seated, though friendly, service was not as impressionable as the hostess. We had asked her to stagger the dishes a bit but the three dishes came out all at once. The table was small. We understand that they were busy but that did affect our experience. The Thai Iced Tea was refreshing. We also had Fire Cook Beef, Pad See Ew Noodles, Spicy String Beans and a Side of Steam White Rice. Nice portions. Dishes were nicely spiced so much so that we forgot to ask for a spice rack. We ordered a lot so we could enjoy leftovers -- and the next day, we sure did! Everyone was nice and overall it was a nice meal. We look forward to returning when we are back in the area.

The flavors were authentic and flavorful without being overly Americanized. The pork curry was absolutely delicious and is definitely a must-order. I also got the tea leaf salad and immediately wished I had ordered the large because you can never have enough tea leaf salad. The palata was a great starter -- flaky, warm, and exactly what you'd want. The miso black cod was another standout. The broth it was simmered in was incredibly flavorful, and the fish was perfectly cooked. The garlic noodles were also done really well with the right noodles and great flavor -- honestly better than some places known specifically for garlic noodles. And of course, the coconut rice is always worth ordering. We skipped dessert since nothing really stood out, but I would love to see them add more traditional Burmese desserts like faluda in the future. Parking wasn't too difficult, especially if you circle around the back neighborhood area. The wait was reasonable, the outdoor patio seating was nice, and the service was attentive throughout the meal. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when craving Burmese food.

I ordered the large size bowl and chose beef and chicken teriyaki as my protein options, along with white rice and stir fry vegetables to go. I sat down and not even 4 minutes later, Rafaella brought me over my food and I was out the door. The total was $20.53 which isn't too bad considering I'm eating a fairly healthy meal.
