Amazing avocado toast for breakfast Sat/Sun 10-12!

We love the Lodge! Great anytime but we especially enjoy going for breakfast and coffee on the weekends (10-12). It's lovely sitting outside in the shade- great vibes.

Had myself a summer salad and lodge tots. I like the cooling effect of the salad (it's hot today! Summer!) and the warm and not overly crunchy tots. The name of the place, the interior visual appeal, the upbeat staff, and the nice music made it a wonderful experience. I came for a brunch this time. Next time, i'll get one of their drinks!

What a sweet spot with yummy beers and great staff! This place is super (mountain)bike friendly. Multiple parking spots in rear, and many bike racks! This place 100% deserves 5 stars. Staff, ambience, outside seating, friendliness and awesome! Food wise; we has the nachos to start, with chicken. Very yummy. I had the tri tip sandwich with avocado. My friend had the 4 cheese grilled cheese. All super yummy. My husband had the sous vide hamburger, and he was not too pleased with the sous vide part. Maybe a question of taste! But the only feedback I have would be offering a regular burger too :)

Excellent ambiance for the mountain biking enthusiast. Also doesn't hurt that they have great food in just the right portion amounts. The selection of beers on tap is just the right amount of choice without overwhelming you with too many choices. Have enjoyed using the demo options for their mountain bikes. Customer service is top notch and the servers have great personalities that help make you glad you brought your mountain biking friends from out of town to The Lodge.

Gosh, I really wanted to love this place. The space is a perfect hangout, casual and very inviting. The service was sub par and the food was almost inedible. We had the banh mi and the cheese steak sandwich. Both meats smelled old and was hard to eat. The banh mi was saturated with pickled vegetables which helped mask the foul meat but even with this I couldnt even finish half the sandwich. It's safe to say this is a place to come hang out at and maybe have a beer.. if you are into that kind of thing. I wish they had more drink offerings, personally. But I would steer clear from the food. Onward as I would say!

What I didn't realize at the time was the sheer pedigree behind it. It turns out Madcap is Michelin-rated, and Chef Ron Siegel is a celebrity chef. A Top Chef alum who headlined at legendary spots like The French Laundry and Michael Mina. Ironically, I didn't learn any of this from a food blog or Yelp. I heard it from my dentist in Vallejo. Talk about a random convo! As for the food, Chef Siegel's creations are pure joy--a celebration of culinary genius that feels genuinely divine. It's the kind of meal that evokes deep emotion; it really is magical. I can honestly say it's the best restaurant in Marin, Point Reyes included. We paired our meal with a beautiful bottle of sake by Pharrell Williams (yes, you read that right), and to top off an already incredible evening, we got to meet Chef Siegel and take a group photo with him. What a cool dude! Inside the restaurant, the decor was refined and classy, featuring rich dark wood accents and curated artwork. My only minor complaint was the seating - the wooden chair, while stylish, could have been a bit more comfortable. Overall, it was a truly lovely experience.

The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly; not much more I could ask for! The smoked short rib pasta was the standout for me. What a find! We loved everything about it. Here's how we dined: Skinny Marinny ( a nightly special and I don't remember what was in it, but it was good and not too sweet): 3.5 stars $16 EASY MONEY gin | basil | lime | grapefruit : Very tasty 4.5 stars $15.5 Oysters; 1Beau Soleil, 1 St. Simon: incredible fresh and briny, loved the cucumber granite. Special Tomato Salad: 4.5 stars $18 A very scant name for a delicious combo of rich and creamy buratta, heirloom tomatoes and a pesto dressing. Not really the best time of year to make tomatoes the star, but the combo brought out their best. Wood Grilled Duck: 5+ stars $47 I was a little worried that wood grilling might dry out the duck, but this was probably the best duck I've ever had. The leg was tender with crispy skin and the breast was wonderfully juicy, without being too rare. the fig compote on top was very earthy and not too sweet. I even liked the roasted carrots, and I rarely like cooked carrots. Wood Grilled Sword Fish: 5 stars $41 T ordered this it was roasted perfectly. the accompanying butterbeans with roasted tomatoes and shisito peppers was not at all over powering. The service was absolutely perfect! I wasn't exactly sure who did which job, because all the servers seemed to do everything. No one said that's not my table or not my job. Now that we know it's only a little over an hour away (if it's not rush hour), I think it might become a destination meal for us every so often. While a few of the dishes we had heard about were gone from the menu (Mina specialties) they had a solid listing of staples and I understand they're working on formally relaunching the restaurant with a bunch of new dishes. The vibe is great (5Star) - good seating with each table having something fun to look at, be it the bar or the ocean, and the music was groovy for lack of a better word. Food was 4 stars but the steak, tipped me back into 5 star category. We had the spicy tuna roll which appeased our sushi desire, the Caesar salad for some greens, and the Delmonico Ribeye with carrots. The steak was phenomenal and I paired it with a Vesper Martini which was mixed expertly. Looking forward to coming back and seeing what the new owners do on the relaunch.
