I'm not even joking right now, the hub burgers has the best burgers! It is literally one of my favorite burger spots I've ever been to. I also recently tried one of their salads and it was just an explosion of amazing flavors! Service and overall vibes are always amazing!

The hubs and I stopped here for a late lunch since they advertise that their burgers are not only grass fed but grass finished (instead of grain) I wonder how this is different from organic, will have to ask next time. We sat outside where there are plenty of tables and chairs and a tv that was showing sports We shared a burger and the Olema salad. I love that they have a make your own burger option with a few choices of breads and items you may want inside. I chose the wheat bread with lots of greens etc. it was good. Burger is a bit small and the patty itself tasted like it had no seasoning so a bit bland. They were nice enough to offer to cut it in half for us when he heard we were going to share. The hand cut fries were great, light and had the right amount of crunch and flavor. Tasted fresh and not of a heavy stale oil like some places. I loved all the flavors in the Olema salad, which you could add a protein too if you wanted, but I just wanted the salad. Usually salads with beets, goat cheese and candied pecans just have greens (and maybe sometimes chicken) but no other fruits and veggies. But here, on top of arugula and baby kale plus the beets, goat cheese, candied pecans, they gave you pears and my favorite fruit, pomegranates as well, that added an awesome sweet and sour crunch!!! Is your mouth watering yet? Everything tasted fresh and fabulous together. My one critique about it would be the maple vinaigrette. Though I don't mind a bit of sweetness in my salad dressing and this one did taste good, it was too sweet for this salad. The salad already had a lot of sweetness with the pears, pomegranates, beets and the abundant candied pecans so the vinaigrette needed to be more acidic and less sweet. Other than that it was great and we will be back to try other things on the menu.

Not enough meat AT ALL at this price!!!!!

I give a rave review for the hubs salads and the malted milkshakes of my past * but my $30 lunch today was horribly disappointing. * The burger was small and left with bread and still hungry and I'm just super bummed.

Was craving burgers after my hike, and I found this gem. Upon arrival, there was a long line, but it went by fast. There's indoor and outdoor seating. You order first, they shout out your name and deliver to you. Staff is super friendly and attentive. They sell beer and wine. Sorry, no liquor. Instead i ordered the rainbow detox salad because I knew I should be healthy. It was perfectly portioned and loved the sauce. My friend ordered the hub burger w/ mac& cheese and he said it was good! Enjoyed the shakes (there goes my calories). Definitely tasted handcrafted. Lots of parking in the lot. Tesla super chargers are coming soon, so yay for Tesla drivers.

If there's any upside to the grossly inflated price of dining out in San Francisco in 2023 it is this: I'm suddenly forgoing City dining in favor of places closer to home where the prices are feeling reasonable, not off-putting. A friend has been recommending The Hub to me for quite a while. She goes out of her way, driving from Sausalito, to lunch at The Hub. Twice, she's called from there inviting me to an impromptu lunch but I've never been available. So I finally just took myself there. I now understand why she makes the drive. The Hub is well-priced, pleasantly outfitted, serves a great burger, airs NBA/MLB/NFL games, and has some really excellent lunchtime and happy hour (weekdays 3:30-5p.m.) deals. For about $13 I got their lunchtime offer of a burger, 3 toppings, fries, and a soft drink. It was a very good and filling meal and one I'll happily return for. Signs announce that there's a "student special" offer at lunchtime which brings a meal similar to mine down in price, to about $10. For this reason, you may wish to come a bit past normal lunchtime hours to avoid the student rush. The owner was taking orders and manning the register (food is delivered to your table when ready) on my visit. Seeing the student special I suggested The Hub consider offering a "senior special". Before saying he would consider doing so, he rattled off several other special offers they currently have (e.g. "teacher's special") so if you fall into a specific category it might be worth inquiring whether there's a specials category for you. Specials or not, I really liked everything about The Hub and look forward to a return visit.

Lone line out the door with only one register staffed.

Tye, our server, was friendly and kind and on top of refilling waters, offering drink suggestions, and grabbing to-go boxes before we even asked for them! I had the chicken parmigiana, which was light and flavorful, and the steamed spinach that went with it was delicious (and I HATE cooked spinach, but gave it a try and actually enjoyed it for the first time ever!) The andouille sausage that was served with the pesto risotto was smoked and you could really taste it, and the spicyness was just perfect. The pesto sauce was heavy on the pine nuts in the best way. It wasn't oily or heavy on the basil or garlic like a lot of pesto sauces can be, and that left the risotto so light and almost citrusy. My cousin had the harvest garden dish, and they were stunned by how delicious it was. As a vegetarian, they are particular about their veggies, but everything was 'perfectly cooked'. At the end of the meal we were surprised by the panna cotta with the fruit remoulade, which we devoured in like three minutes haha! We really enjoyed all of the food, the service, and the ambiance. We only wish we lived closer, but might make the 90+ mile trip from Sacramento just for the amazing food now and then.

There was plenty of outdoor seating, but inside felt pretty cramped. I ordered the crawfish omelette, expecting fresh crawfish sautéed with onions, cilantro, and garlic (you're welcome for the free menu idea ). Instead, it arrived as a basic omelette stuffed with crawfish gumbo. The whole thing tasted oddly sweet--almost dessert-like, which wasn't what I wanted for breakfast. The only silver lining? I take my latte unsweetened anyway, so at least I didn't have to stress about my blood sugar spiking too much. Service was a little chaotic; they seemed short-staffed with just one server hustling between the patio and indoors. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the crawfish omelette. That said, I'm not totally writing the place off--I'd come back to try a different breakfast dish.

Having visited New Orleans earlier this year, I was so excited to try this place! As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was transported back to NOLA! There were beads hanging and Mardi Gras decorations throughout the restaurant. Since it was a weekday, there was no wait and we had our choice of sitting inside or out. We opted for inside. Our server was warm and friendly, bringing us water promptly. We started off with an order of beignets. It arrived with three big pieces. They were freshly fried and doused in powdered sugar. So good! My daughter ordered the chicken and waffles, while I decided to try the everything gumbo. The chicken and waffles was huge! It came with several pieces of fried chicken that was topped with freshly minced garlic and came with a homemade spicy sauce. My daughter loved it! I tried a bite and thought it was tasty as well. She ended up taking half of it home. The everything gumbo was also delicious! It was a little thin in my opinion, but the flavor was amazing! It was truly authentic and I could taste all the seafood that was in it. I finished my entire bowl! Unlike the chicken and waffle, it was appropriately sized. When I went to pay the bill, there was a sign that said "free beignets if you pay cash." So of course, I paid our bill in cash! Luckily, I had enough cash on me. Can't pass up a deal like that! All in all, it was a very enjoyable meal! If I'm ever in the area, I'd definitely go back to The Hummingbird!

Whatever we lacked in Korean or Ethiopian fare we made up for with an abundance of restaurants specializing in food from France and Italy. Amelie Cafe and Wine Bar continues the tradition and I'm not mad about it. With outposts in both San Francisco and New York City, Amelie sports a nice pedigree. The Fairfax location is dialed down a bit - perfect for the neighborhood it serves - and makes for a comfortable place to enjoy any meal however you might happen to appear that day. It's a simple cafe and, though not inexpensive, certainly less so than a trip to Paris. Two of us recently dined here, late afternoon on a weekend, sharing a burger ($23; comes with fries and a salad), a lager ($8; they have no IPA), and boquerones, the latter of which I fully regretted having to share. Whenever I see boquerones ($12) on a menu I cannot look away and in Marin, finding such an offering is a unicorn. Delicious; I might sneak back over solo just to enjoy them again. The burger and fries were also good, with a profile a bit different than what one would get at a non-French-centric spot. Amelie is a good place to drop in before or after a movie or a show in Fairfax and equally wonderful to pop into for a morning coffee drink or an afternoon glass of wine. It's a casual and a perfect fit for Fairfax.
