[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ended up trying to watch a match inside. They had the match on ONE TV...others had various other sports on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not a big deal. However, when we asked if they could turn up the volume, they flat-out refused, spouting some official rule that volume will not come on until the semi-finals. What?? 3. Some of the staff (younger) are courteous and friendly. They manager on duty that day was anything but. Note to business owners: if you're going to promote an event, do it right. Go all in. went to the location in San Anselmo, overall I would rate my experience as below average, I got the American burger, onion rings and a side of Mac & Cheese. Wife got a Nashville chicken sandwich and garlic fries. The burger I got was dry and overcooked and the patty had no flavor at all AKA Grey Meat, onion rings were dripping in oil, clearly didn't let them rest to let the oil drip off and the fries were limp and soggy. Drove past The Hub after hiking at Muir Woods and decided to try it out. We were greeted right away and asked if we had any questions about the menu. All the staff were very friendly. The hubs and I stopped here for a late lunch since they advertise that their burgers are not only grass fed but grass finished (instead of grain) I wonder how this is different from organic, will have to ask next time. The hand cut fries were great, light and had the right amount of crunch and flavor. Tasted fresh and not of a heavy stale oil like some places. I loved all the flavors in the Olema salad, which you could add a protein too if you wanted, but I just wanted the salad. Usually salads with beets, goat cheese and candied pecans just have greens (and maybe sometimes chicken) but no other fruits and veggies. But here, on top of arugula and baby kale plus the beets, goat cheese, candied pecans, they gave you pears and my favorite fruit, pomegranates as well, that added an awesome sweet and sour crunch!!! Is your mouth watering yet? Everything tasted fresh and fabulous together. My one critique about it would be the maple vinaigrette. Though I don't mind a bit of sweetness in my salad dressing and this one did taste good, it was too sweet for this salad. The salad already had a lot of sweetness with the pears, pomegranates, beets and the abundant candied pecans so the vinaigrette needed to be more acidic and less sweet. Was craving burgers after my hike, and I found this gem. Upon arrival, there was a long line, but it went by fast. There's indoor and outdoor seating. You order first, they shout out your name and deliver to you. Staff is super friendly and attentive. They sell beer and wine. Sorry, no liquor. If there's any upside to the grossly inflated price of dining out in San Francisco in 2023 it is this: I'm suddenly forgoing City dining in favor of places closer to home where the prices are feeling reasonable, not off-putting. A friend has been recommending The Hub to me for quite a while. She goes out of her way, driving from Sausalito, to lunch at The Hub. Twice, she's called from there inviting me to an impromptu lunch but I've never been available. So I finally just took myself there. I now understand why she makes the drive. The Hub is well-priced, pleasantly outfitted, serves a great burger, airs NBA/MLB/NFL games, and has some really excellent lunchtime and happy hour (weekdays 3:30-5p.m.) deals. For about $13 I got their lunchtime offer of a burger, 3 toppings, fries, and a soft drink. It was a very good and filling meal and one I'll happily return for. Signs announce that there's a "student special" offer at lunchtime which brings a meal similar to mine down in price, to about $10. For this reason, you may wish to come a bit past normal lunchtime hours to avoid the student rush. The owner was taking orders and manning the register (food is delivered to your table when ready) on my visit. Seeing the student special I suggested The Hub consider offering a "senior special". Before saying he would consider doing so, he rattled off several other special offers they currently have (e.g. "teacher's special") so if you fall into a specific category it might be worth inquiring whether there's a specials category for you. Specials or not, I really liked everything about The Hub and look forward to a return visit. read more

Here's the thing we all know that good customer service is going down the tubes and one reason is that there's so much pressure on customers consumers workers that is hard to smile and be kind when a person could be feeling hurt or something is troubling them but every time I come to the hub, I find it really amazing that younger people young adults teenagers that work. There are very nice and it's very rare to see that the food is pretty good, but the thing that taste the best is good customer service a friendly smile that's to me more valuable than the taste of the food. People were claiming this is the best burger in Marin--my god the standards are low. I got the $16 burger with white cheddar and hub sauce (unfortunately, it came with American cheese) and picked it up to ensure it was as fresh as possible. Burger was cold when I picked it up, I checked in the car, and the whole wheat bun was already soggy. It's not a smashburger, the patty had no crust and was thick and tasteless. I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. I was able to customize my burger as they have many topping options and some yummy cheeses such as pepper jack and Gruyère. Their menu states the burgers are cooked medium, however mine was made rare. The sweet potato fries were a good size and there where plenty in the order. They were tasty but also a bit limp. I also had a wonderful chocolate shake. Ordering your meal is at the counter to the left as you enter. You can choose your own table with inside and outside options. We placed our order at the counter, gathered our cutlery and beverages and found a nice table. The Hub is known for their fried chicken breast sandwiches but also offer burgers, sandwiches, salads and a selection of fried vegetables (e.g. french fries, onion rings, brussels sprouts, etc.) I ordered the Mediterranean salad with chicken breast and a side of onion rings for the table. My friends had chicken burgers and beers. The onion rings are some of the best I've ever had - battered, real onions, not greasy, properly seasoned. This restaurant is in a strip mall so there is ample free parking. The restrooms are clean. The dining areas are clean and tidy. Some tables bussed their own tables while others left their dishes. Great spot for a casual lunch or a quick pit stop! We popped in here for the first time while driving through San Anselmo. The staff were super friendly, and we loved the outdoor seating. (The tables were clean, and there were lots of extra chairs for customers.) My burger was great -- the perfect size for one hungry person. I got a really simple burger (just lettuce and cheese) for $11, which wasn't a bad price, but you order fries separately. We tried the regular fries, which were unfortunately more soft than crispy. The sweet potato fries were a lot better: very crispy and perfectly salty on the outside, and soft and flavorful on the inside. We showed up at noon on a Saturday and ordered right away. Our food came out about 10 minutes later, which I think is a great turnaround time. I'd stop here again when passing through town. read more

This place is somewhat inconsistent. Their burger is good enough but on occasion I've ordered fries just to get a pile of crispy bits from the bottom of the bin. Not cool. I also wish they would keep the place a little cleaner and do so consistently. Sometimes it's fine. Sometimes lots of tables haven't been wiped down. The ketchup station is usually pretty gross and in need of much more attention throughout the day. Finally, I once ordered an soft serve cone and before serving me, the man (owner/manager?) sneezed, blew his nose, threw out the napkin, and went straight to make my cone. What?! Have these people not taken any food service safety courses? They need to! Again, their burger is good... good enough that I keep coming back. But I do worry about how clean the restaurant is kept... or not kept. Now maybe then kitchen and back of house are pristine. I certainly hope so. But at a minimum, the front of house needs work.
