    Chili cheese fries
    Camela S.

We were recommended to this restaurant by our neighbors, they've raved about it for at least a year and we finally made it on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated immediately upon arrival and given the option of indoor or outdoor seating. Ty was our server and our service was great. I wanted an apple martini, they were unable to accommodate the apple but Ty made me a custom mango martini which was tasty. We ordered a Reuben sandwich with chili cheese fries, and a rosemary chicken sandwich with fries. I did not try the Reuben sandwich but the rosemary chicken sandwich and the chili cheese fries were both very flavorful and there was plenty of chicken in the rosemary chicken sandwich. We'll definitely be back.

The panna cotta with the raspberry remoulade was so delicious that we devoured it and barely left anything on the plate!

The food was absolutely amazing, the service was fast even though it was a hopping Saturday night, and the chefs were zipping through orders. Tye, our server, was friendly and kind and on top of refilling waters, offering drink suggestions, and grabbing to-go boxes before we even asked for them! I had the chicken parmigiana, which was light and flavorful, and the steamed spinach that went with it was delicious (and I HATE cooked spinach, but gave it a try and actually enjoyed it for the first time ever!) The andouille sausage that was served with the pesto risotto was smoked and you could really taste it, and the spicyness was just perfect. The pesto sauce was heavy on the pine nuts in the best way. It wasn't oily or heavy on the basil or garlic like a lot of pesto sauces can be, and that left the risotto so light and almost citrusy. My cousin had the harvest garden dish, and they were stunned by how delicious it was. As a vegetarian, they are particular about their veggies, but everything was 'perfectly cooked'. At the end of the meal we were surprised by the panna cotta with the fruit remoulade, which we devoured in like three minutes haha! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We really enjoyed all of the food, the service, and the ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We only wish we lived closer, but might make the 90+ mile trip from Sacramento just for the amazing food now and then.

stopped by for a quick bite after a long day of hiking and taking our doggies for an adventure. I ordered the pesto fettuccine & had plenty of leftovers for me to take home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside the restaurant on the patio with plenty of shade.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service & staff were awesome, patient, and brought our dogs water unprompted. Such a thoughtful gesture. We also tried some corn bread at the time which was devoured by my husband, he was a big fan. Also ordered a margarita, was delicious, balanced, & crisp/refreshing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]the bathrooms were clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], [[HIGHLIGHT]]the dinner crowd was coming in as we were leaving & it looked lively.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] hoping to stop by again for future trips. 5 stars from me & the doggo

Located downtown Fairfax in a really cool neighborhood. There is a big parking lot across the street with free parking. The cafe is right on the corner. We were able to get a table in the morning without any reservations. Ordered: 1. Corned beef breakfast: I liked my corned beef and i liked that it was in big chunks rather than it being really fine strips were it's soggy and mixed into hash browns. It was seasoned well and went well with the potatos. Also cooked my poached eggs well! 2. Egg Plant sandwich: My wife really liked this and the eggplant wasn't too muchy but also very flavorful. Overall, service was good and they were polite and attentive. Clean restaurant. The prices on their website isn't reflective of their menu however and it's more expensive on the updated menu in the restaurant. They also do have more options in the restaurant as well. Solid breakfast choice in Fairfax.

A wonderful breakfast in the adorable little town of Fairfax. This is a very clean restaurant that is nicely decorated and very comfortable. Their menu is well rounded and the service was both attentive and thoughtful. I'm sure the lunch and dinner experience is equally good, and I'm excited to return soon. 5 stars.

Food was pretty good but extremely pricey for what I got (chilaquiles, waffle and cappuccino). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice, lively location with outdoor seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the waiting staff were all really nice, but most likely will not be coming back.

The salads here are really exceptional. I had the Warmed Spinach Salad, which includes bacon and mushrooms. It's incredible! The light dressing and generous amount of spinach made it one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommended!

The service here is amazing ! They're kind and quick with service. I got the burger the chef make the food amazing and [[HIGHLIGHT]]they have cute little table decorations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got an espresso martini and it was great

When we were there , they dio d not have any specific glutton free menu items, however when we inquired, they said they could easily drum up a glutton free version of most items on the menu and they did so for two of our party.

Having visited New Orleans earlier this year, I was so excited to try this place! As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was transported back to NOLA! There were beads hanging and Mardi Gras decorations throughout the restaurant. Since it was a weekday, there was no wait and we had our choice of sitting inside or out. We opted for inside. Our server was warm and friendly, bringing us water promptly. We started off with an order of beignets. It arrived with three big pieces. They were freshly fried and doused in powdered sugar. So good! My daughter ordered the chicken and waffles, while I decided to try the everything gumbo. The chicken and waffles was huge! It came with several pieces of fried chicken that was topped with freshly minced garlic and came with a homemade spicy sauce. My daughter loved it! I tried a bite and thought it was tasty as well. She ended up taking half of it home. The everything gumbo was also delicious! It was a little thin in my opinion, but the flavor was amazing! It was truly authentic and I could taste all the seafood that was in it. I finished my entire bowl! Unlike the chicken and waffle, it was appropriately sized. When I went to pay the bill, there was a sign that said "free beignets if you pay cash." So of course, I paid our bill in cash! Luckily, I had enough cash on me. Can't pass up a deal like that! All in all, it was a very enjoyable meal! If I'm ever in the area, I'd definitely go back to The Hummingbird!

A couple of outdoor areas, some under shade with picnic tables. Located in Marin County, California, The Lodge in Fairfax is an iconic, historic establishment built in 1908 by the Arbini and Segale families as The Old Timer's Saloon, serving as the town's very first bar. After years of being utilized differently, the building underwent an extensive two-year restoration. The owners of the San Francisco bike shop Big Swingin' Cycles purchased the property, upgrading its infrastructure, adding a kitchen, and building a large, dog-friendly outdoor beer garden. You get that feeling that you really are at a lodge at the lake in Wisconsin. At least for a minute, it brings back memories. However, in place of the white and red pine trees are the gorgeous redwoods providing shade. Nice tap beer list with healthy portions served. I had the mushroom tacos, vegetarian style with a little salad and chips $10 and a half a beer. My lunch mate had the summer salad with chicken added $25 bucks which is a little steep, but certainly enough for two people. Served in a very large bowl. It's quite impressive. I would forgo the protein and save the six bucks extra. Great spot, great service, great ambience, great food, and beer. Walk, drive your car, or bicycle in. There are a bike racks and some parking on site.
