Duck wings

Was there one thing that stood out to make me give it a 5 stars? The answer is a hard no. It was more the overall experience. The disclaimer I'm going to make is if you're someone who prefers to stick to the same thing or traditional flavors then this isn't the spot. They like to play with flavors, like adding tzatziki to the burger and salt and olive oil to the ice cream. We were greeted at the door and asked whether we would be joining them for dinner or just cocktails, for proper seating. We said both and were seated at the table. Vincent was fabulous and provided the most conscientious service we've received in a long time. They have 2 bars, I know WOW!!! With indoor and outdoor seating, quite cute. And, they make great cocktails. Well balanced and boozy, both the Manhattan and old fashioned. They also have a great selection of high end etoh. Got hubby to try Blanton gold, which I haven't found anywhere else. As for food, we ordered the duck wings and shared a burger. Got 6 wings, which was perfect for us. On a side note, read a review criticizing the portion for the price of wings. We felt it was appropriate as they're duck wings, and duck is more expensive than chicken. Furthermore, the burger had a thick patty and was cooked to our specification with crafted flavors.

In my experience Corner Bar was not successful as a restaurant, but could be seen as successful as a bar. Logistics: The space opens at 4pm - but for some reason did not serve food until 5pm which isn't listed on the menu or their hours, but is listed in one small place on their landing page. They have two sections of patio seating - four tables for parties of 2+, and four tables for 1-2 people. The tables for the larger parties are normal sized tables, but the 1-2 person tables are very small and can fit at most two appetizers. We would have preferred sitting at the larger tables as they were in the sun because even though the restaurant opens at 4pm, there are no built in heaters for their patio. Their site also states the outside tables are first come first serve (no outside reservations) which according to a note a server handed us, is incorrect. Food: In my experience, although the quality of the ingredients was very high, every single dish we had was either poorly designed or poorly executed. The brussels sprouts were an unbalanced dish. Very heavy on the vinegar, they were covered in a flavorless cheese with spicy peppers interspaced throughout. For five or six bites it would give vinegar, then when you got a pepper it would give nothing but fire. The breading on the calamari was thick and almost flavorless, however the sauce it came with was well done and saved the dish, so personally I felt it was the most successful of everything we ordered, Additionally, I personally enjoyed the duck although the honey did not. Like other reviewers have stated, there was very little meat on the wings and overall it would have made a better impression as a duck egg roll. For my entree I had the halibut. My experience with the dish really depresses me because the fish was so perfectly cooked, and so perfectly seasoned. It was absolutely mouth-watering and they stuck it on top of this horrible vegan goulash. Under the perfectly cooked fish was a mix of whole chickpeas (without skin removed), sliced green beans and peas, drowned in a salsa soup. If they had just plated the halibut and done a pea puree it would have been chefs kiss, but as it was it was so unbalanced - there aren't even words. At the end of the day, there just seems to be an issue in how Corner Bar's menu was designed and the logistics of the space so bringing in a new chef to redesign and installing heaters above the tables would likely go a long way.

Corner Bar is a must visit when in Marin County/Mill Valley. Reservations are strongly suggested on the weekends. The food is not like anything you'll find in Mill Valley, the service is superior, the ambiance is top notch. Bartenders are THE BEST, service staff are AHMAZING! I highly recommend checking it out on a Friday night. They also have two TVs at the bar if you want to catch sports. They have the most eclectic burger I've ever had, so fantastic and a must try!!!!

This place is great example of what a bar / restaurant should strive to be. Beginning with their friendly staff and management whom have gone out of their way to please speaks for itself. They serve quality drinks and great bites to eat as well. Check out their cool leather bound menu which offers great bottles of wine also. Perfect spot for a date up front with top tier views of downtown and just clean comfortable front of the house seating.

We absolutely loved corner bar and will be coming back!! The service was fabulous and the quality of everything was top notch. We ordered the $44 prefix menu which was bomb and then some drinks (ultima palabra, up in smoke)!! The wagyu carpaccio, mezze plate, calamari were really good as well. We will absolutely be back. Good vibes.

First time in Mill Valley and tried corner bar. Stayed outside was offered a blanket. This plate is good for two. The non alcoholic drink I ordered is really refreshing. It's nice treat if you just want to enjoy the night sprinkly weather.

Came here on a busy Saturday night without reservations. We did put our name down for a table initially & then headed to the bar for a drink. Before we finished those drinks, we found a nice spot to sit with loads of space for us to play our board game. We did ask the bartender first if we could play as we weren't sure if this place was vibey like that and he 100% approved. Loved that for us. To eat, we ordered the chips and dips (yum), Wagyu beef carpaccio (phenomenal!) and the duck wings l'orange (exceptional!). Service was a bit slow at first but once we got settled down, it was more attentive. Only one bartender per bar at such a busy spot but it worked. Loved the vibes but especially loved the fact they were down with us playing. Also, I won

Overall B: Good food, cocktails, a bit poor service (2 min 2 bites!) not understanding that we share everything. Weekday supper outside, of stone fruit salad, lamb gyros, deviled eggs, gin & mexcal drinks. Recommend if you're in the neighborhood.

Corner Bar is fantastic! I've had amazing speciality cocktails here, classic cocktails, great beer and a killer martini. All the bartenders and servers are friendly and fun to hangout with. I'm obsessed with the duck wings as well - SO GOOD! The burger is amazing too. Such a great addition to our county!

So you get a small and intimate feel where seated outdoors (so pleasant) or indoors. They have live jazz style music playing. There's some shade in the mini courtyards outside seating but even if there's sun, they have portable patio umbrellas. Staff immediately brought out cushions and a water bowl for my fur babies; they were so sweet!! Bathrooms are clean . Oh and indoors is soooo cute. Rustic but cozy!! Happy hour is 4-6 pm at the "bar section" only, separate from the main restaurant. Go early as its first come first serve. I tried the crispy buffalo wings which was good. But the walla walla waffle chips with onion dip was phenomenal. Such deep rich flavor dip. I also tried the half dozen raw oysters; the accompanying sauce and lemon enhanced the flavor perfectly. Service - is attentive but not aggressive. Cocktails are well crafted and it's nice to have East Brother have a showcase for their many excellent styles of beer. Food - The menu is elevated sports bar, in the two times we've dined here since reopening, the solid go back to is the ribeye French dip sandwich, served with French fries. We started both times with the bar pretzel which is easily shared by two, this time we added the potato pancakes, fried just right (my partner thought they needed salt but he has a salt tooth). Other recent reviews that mention the smash burger note that the bottom bun is soggy, I concur (but I liked the grind and flavor) so I opted for the fish and chips this time, again fried perfectly, the batter crunched nicely with each bite. I don't mind the vinegar served alongside, found it easy to dip along with the housemade tartar sauce and French fries. Overall, I like this establishment for both drinking and eating, maybe the burger needs a little tweaking but the menu is inviting, the portions good sized and the food pairs well both with their cocktails and the beers. We decided a Warriors and Lakers game would be the best time to try it out. It was busy and the Saturday before SuperBowl, so we knew it would be busy. We immediately walked up and sat at the bar with open seating. However, quickly realized we would rather enjoy a table. I walked back to the host and asked to be put on a list for a table (there were 3-4 open). I knew they accepted reservations and we may not be sat immediately. However, we were completely forgot about. No text, no call. By half time, the place was pretty open and we were disappointed we hadn't been contacted. I didn't feel it was my job to double check if we had been forgotten. By the time we left, we still didn't receive and recognition from the hostess (2 people working the stand). I know we were forgotten because I watched her write down my name and phone number on a paper, and as a customer, it sucked. We wanted a table to order dinner and have more room, but we just ate at the bar. I will be honest, I wanted to leave at half after this, but my partner was hungry, and that is the only reason we stayed. The beer is always good. The food is okay (too pricey) in our opinion. The French dip lacked flavor, but the fries were amazing. My partner said the burger was ok (also lacked seasoning). We will probably be back for happy hour, and for the atmosphere, but other than that we may have gone in with higher expectations.

We opted for the Brunch Prix Fixe menu ($49 per person), selecting two appetizers and two entrées, and every single dish exceeded expectations. To begin, the Jalapeño Lobster Toast was a standout. The lobster was incredibly tender and sweet, elevated by a delicate kick from the jalapeño, the ginger aïoli added a subtle warmth. Each bite was layered, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Equally impressive was Michael Mina's Ahi Tuna Tartare (well worth the supplement). This dish was a masterpiece of freshness and complexity. The tuna was pristine, melting in the mouth, while the combination of mint, chilis, and Asian pear created a mix of coolness, heat, and sweetness. The pine nuts added a welcome crunch, and the garlic habanero-sesame oil delivered a bold, aromatic depth that made the dish very unique. For the main course, the Bungalow Benedict was pure comfort elevated to perfection. Served on a beautifully toasted Model Bakery English muffin, the Canadian bacon was rich and savory, while the poached eggs were cooked flawlessly, their yolks silky and indulgent. The hollandaise was luxuriously smooth while the breakfast potatoes on the side were crisp, golden, and perfectly seasoned. The Steak Frites Au Poivre (also a supplement) was another highlight. The filet medallions were cooked exactly to temperature (we asked for med rare) tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The au poivre sauce added a refined peppery richness that complemented the meat beautifully. The crinkle-cut fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside! Dessert was the perfect finale. The Brûléed Basque Cheesecake was extraordinary, so creamy and rich with a delicately caramelized top that added depth and texture. The Three Layer Chocolate Cake was pure decadence. Moist, rich, and intensely chocolatey, it was elevated by the lightness of whipped crème fraîche. The salted caramel sauce tied everything together with a perfect sweet-salty finish....you can tell I'm a chocoholic! Beyond the food, the ambiance deserves special mention. The space is incredibly refined, with a soothing palette of pastel tones that immediately invites relaxation. The décor draws inspiration from Art Nouveau and Art Deco, creating an atmosphere that feels both timeless and thoughtfully curated. Everything is immaculate, contributing to an overall sense of understated luxury. Finally, the service truly elevated the entire experience. The General Manager, Giovanni, was outstanding. He guided us through every detail of the menu, offering thoughtful explanations and perfectly pairing wines with each course. His presence was attentive yet never intrusive, making us feel completely at ease. His professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge added a personal touch that made the experience truly memorable.
