Ambiance: cozy and not obnoxiously loud like many other smoothie or boba shops. Would be a great place to catch up with friends. Friendly staff Boba: tapioca cooked well So happy to have found a new boba spot in Marin!

Incredible spot for amazing rice bowls! Everything is super fresh and delicious. Large servings and wonderful service. I am vegan and enjoyed their spring rolls and tofu/mushroom bowl. Will come again!

So glad this place opened up near my office. They did a 50/50 Vegan mushroom/tofu banh mi that was delicious and fresh. Will be back frequently!

Shared white building with massage parlor. Adequate parking however for quick eats in & out.

Quick stopover for Banh Mi, ordered the Traditional, the baguette was nicely toasted, had fresh ingredients, enjoyed the pork, ham and patè. Also ordered Ube Boba, please note the Boba is not included, so you need to add that into your drink order. Boba tastes very good!

Came here for a quick dinner to-go. Banh Mi Zon is located in Tam Junction near Good Earth and the HQ Fuel. There's a small parking lot outside. It was easy and quick to order inside as they had multiple self order kiosks. The inside was clean and bright and there was plenty of seating. Service was quick and friendly. I didn't have to wait long to get my sandwich (I got the Traditional). It was wrapped neatly in paper and I like that they pre-cut it in half. The baguette was crunchy, and everything tasted fresh. Overall, the banh mi was less bready, greasy and salty than the ones I got growing up in the South Bay. But I like the ones from Banh Mi Zon because it felt "clean" and I didn't feel heavy after eating it. To be honest, this isn't the cheapest banh mi I've had, so I wouldn't consider this a "cheap eats" spot but with the limited Asian food options in Sausalito / Mill Valley, this would certainly be the place to hit up if you're craving Vietnamese.

Great Banh Mi! I got the chicken Banh Mi and it was really good! They are generous with the toppings! Their Hong Kong milk tea is good too. The prices are more than you'd pay at an SF 'hole in the wall', but this is a prime Marin location with nice seating and decor. I found the staff to be nice and the restaurant is very clean. Give it a try if you like Banh Mi!

Instead, you simply place your order either online, or through the self-service kiosk located out front. There is a window next to the kiosk where they'll place your drink when ready. Ordered a Mango Supreme with Boba and really enjoyed the fresh mango taste, along with the nice and chewy boba. There's not a lot of boba options in San Rafael. But I'm glad Oddcha is one of them. Unbeknownst to me at the time, parking is available in a lot under the freeway on 4th street, behind Oddcha. I instead found street parking 3 blocks away and simply walked over.

We ordered the Coconut Bomb and the Thai Twister, and both drinks were excellent. They weren't overly sweet and had a really refreshing flavor. The boba also tasted fresh, which made the drinks even better. Ordering was easy using their kiosk system. One thing to note is that parking is located behind the shop. It was a bit confusing at first since the store is on a very busy road, but once you find the back parking area, it's much more convenient. Overall, a great stop for refreshing drinks--I'd definitely come back!

2.5 STARS kuma cafe…read moreis a small cafe serving quick bites and boba, conveniently located in downtown san rafael. even though it's in downtown san rafael, i've never had trouble finding street parking nearby. since you order on a tablet, there's not usually anyone behind the counter until the food comes out. it seems like there's only one person working, so it can sometimes take a bit for things to come out. i usually order online for a quicker pickup, although it's slightly more expensive. there are a few tables inside, but it's really a to-go place. - egg sandwich w/ salad (2.5/5): i love japanese egg sandwiches, so i really wanted to try this! the sandwich had a good kewpie mayo flavor, and it was slightly sweet. i enjoyed the flavor, but the sandwich was too wet and messy to eat. some of the mayo was dripping out of the sides. there were also small bits of tobiko and cabbage. it wasn't a big sandwich for the price, but it did come with a salad that was topped with a good sweet and creamy dressing - spicy tuna sandwich w/ chips (1/5): literally like canned tuna with some spicy seasoning, although it wasn't super spicy. it also had some thick slices of cucumber and red onion. the chips were kind of stale, and they tasted like they were supposed to be ruffles or lays salted chips. this was pretty disappointing, and i'm not sure why it cost that much - poke (2.5/5): pretty standard, and an okay portion for price. they offered all of the basic ingredients and different kinds of fish. my bowl didn't have a lot of fish in it, but they did give me a lot of tamago (sweet egg), which made up for the lack of protein. i ordered the soy house sauce, but it reminded me more of a bright ponzu. honestly, the ingredients didn't really taste the freshest, but i thought it was fine and the best food i tried here - jasmine rose milk tea (1.5/5): strong rose flavor! it was still pretty sweet at 50% sugar, and it got overwhelmingly sweet by the end. i usually finish drinks, even if i don't like them, but it was hard to finish - sando brown sugar milk tea (4/5): my favorite milky drink i tried! it had a pretty good black tea and chocolate malt flavor. i really liked the crunchy texture of the malt topping, although i think it could've used a little less malt and more drink. i thought this was very unique! - lychee dragon fruit (4/5): like a light lemonade! i didn't really taste the lychee. the dragon fruit flavor was subtle, but it was definitely there, especially at the end with all the dragon fruit bits. it came with lychee jelly, which made the drink pretty sweet - fizzy yuzu (4/5): literally a yuzu soda, which was tart and citrusy. it was a little too sour for me at first, but the yuzu flavor was great. i actually really liked the kiwi popping boba, which added some sweetness to the drink and curbed the tartness. the kiwi popping boba did taste like kiwi, and it was so unique! - momo peach iced matcha [seasonal] (1/5): the worst drink i tried... there was so much peach jam that it tasted super sweet, and the jam didn't even have a strong peach flavor. the amount of jam also made the drink extremely goopy, even after mixing, and i couldn't taste the matcha at all. i didn't finish this drink the boba here was inconsistent - sometimes it was soft and chewy, and other times, it was on the hard end. for the drinks that came with a topping, they didn't let me sub out the topping with something else. i would've had to pay for an additional topping in order to change it. overall, i'm not really a big fan of kuma cafe, but there aren't that many options in san rafael. compared to oddcha, i think kuma cafe offers more unique asian flavors, like dragon fruit or yuzu. when i'm working near downtown, i'll still stop by to get my boba fix but will head somewhere else for lunch.

The lady working there (an older woman) was just the sweetest. She greeted us with a big smile, welcomed us in, and even thanked us for stopping by. It really made the visit feel extra personal. We tried a few drinks: the Mango Fresh Milk with boba was light, refreshing, and not overly sweet which is perfect for a hot day. The Iced Matcha with boba was smooth and flavorful; I loved that it actually tasted like real matcha. I did ask for less ice, which oddly came with an extra 85 cent charge, but honestly, it was still worth it. My daughter got the Kuma Blue Cloud Raspberry, which was creamy, fun looking, and caffeine free! It's definitely a nice spot to grab a good drink and relax for a bit. The only downside is that they don't have a public restroom, which was a little inconvenient. Still, we'll definitely be back for more drinks and that friendly service!

There is street parking available and seating was quick, although we arrived shortly after 5 pm. My husband had fried spring rolls, fried chicken, lemon aid, and the seafood hot pot with rice. I had the fresh rolls with shrimp. Both of us took home lots of leftovers. The fried chicken was excellent and not greasy. The spices were delightful and not overwhelming. It was perfectly crispy. The spring rolls were also very good and crispy with a nice mix of flavors. The real star was the seafood hot pot! So many great pieces of shrimp, seafood, mushrooms, peppers, bok choy, onion, and the best light broth. I kept sneaking my fork into my husband's bowl for more and I'm usually not a big fan. My fresh rolls were both generous and excellent. I appreciated the delicate balance between the romaine and mint with the fresh vermicelli. The shrimp were thinly sliced and fresh. Their bánh mì options are legit and absolutely worth ordering. They also have a killer pho lineup with all the classics--barbecue beef, chicken, pork, and more. Perfect balance to the richer dishes. Another standout detail: they serve coconut juice straight from an actual cut coconut, which feels both fresh and fun and pairs perfectly with the food. They offer both dine-in and to-go, which makes it easy whether you're sitting down for a meal or grabbing something quick. Between the bánh mì, the pho, the fresh rolls, and the coconut drink, Saigon Village delivers on flavor and variety. A solid go-to spot for Vietnamese comfort food.
