Amazing views! Cozy outside dining with ample shade and heat if needed. The famous burger was cooked perfectly. The crab bisque very nice. Overall, all the food was good especially the tiramisu. Service was outstanding. Luna Blu was on my "to do" list for a while and it is definitely worth the visit. Highly recommend brunch given the sun angle in the patio area.

My friends and I came to Tiburon to bask in the unexpected pristine weather this Sunday. And, initially, my party set our sights on Malibu Farm, the health-conscious transplant from its SoCal namesake city. But with a one-hour wait at peak lunch hour, we pivoted and wound up at Luna Blu on a whim which was a fortunate detour as it turns out. The restaurant, perched by the waterfront, had a spread of empty tables so we had our pick of the litter. Ultimately, we settled into an outdoor spot decked out with ocean views, soft blankets, and overhead heaters. The menu though, like the Tiburon tide, ebbs on the pricier end with their salads and sandwiches cresting the $20 mark. I'm a sucker for a beet salad, so I ordered the Barbabietole, an aptly named dish (Barbabietola translates to beet I think?) featuring thick ruby-red beet slices layered with hazelnuts and an generous, indulgent amount of goat cheese. Would I eagerly fork over $21 for it again? Prob not, but in an era where affordable brunch becomes more and more elusive (thanks Trump tariffs!), I can't say I'm shocked. Our server was also warm and charming. And, his accent paired with the gentle sway of yachts in the harbor almost lent an Amalfi-esque quality. Is it wrong to say an Amalfi from Temu?

Wow the views are amazing! You really are on the water, such a romantic place for dinner. The service was attentive, kind and friendly. The food was delicious. Both of our pasta's were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The burrata with truffle was amazingly rich. I would definitely come back.

Came here for an early dinner over the weekend. The weather was great. We were met at the door by a very serious woman, who gave us a table outside. The view was absolutely gorgeous. We waited a bit and met out waiter. He was friendlier and took our drink and food orders. The food was absolutely delicious. We are all vegetarian and one pescatarian and there were many options for us. We had the caponata, tomato soup, eggplant parm, crab pasta.

Date of Visit: 8/24/2024 We visited the Italian restaurant Luna Blu located on Main Street in Tiburon last Saturday afternoon. The weather was very nice on the day, not windy and the temperature was warm and comfortable. Luna Blu was established in 2013, the couple owner Renzo and Crystal Azzarello was impressed by the romantic atmosphere in Tiburon and decided to open this nice restaurant by the shore. The name Luna Blu means blue moon in Italian, which relates to their honeymoon and also something special and rare. Triple Espresso Martini $15 I got the espresso martini. Love the taste and the creamy texture of this cocktail. Sunset in Tiburon $15 Husband got the sunset in Tiburon. This cocktail was made with 2 different rums, mixed with pineapple juice, orange juice, and grenadine and layered into a beautiful sunset. Polipo Alla Griglia $20 We got the grilled octopus as the appetizer. The octopus tentacle was chewy and soft. On the side it was bell pepper sauce and lime aioli. Linguine Alle Vongole $31 I got the linguine pasta with fresh manila clams and cherry tomatoes. The linguine was tasty and got a touch of chili flakes. Risotto Prosciutto E Gamberi $34 Husband got the Parmesan Cheese risotto with tiger prawns and wrapped in Prosciutto Di Parma. Chocolate Martini $15 We got the chocolate martini to pair with our dessert. Mixed with chocolate vodka and Dorda Double chocolate liqueur, and very rich and creamy with chocolate rimmed glass. Mocha Tiramisu $12 One of my favorite desserts is the tiramisu. The mocha tiramisu was homemade with ladyfingers soaked in espresso, and layered with mascarpone and chocolate mousse. The texture was a little wet, but love the mix of alcohol in it.

We had a romantic Valentine's Day outside under the stars and a warm heater. The menu was a special Valentine's Day menu with new dishes we haven't had before. I had the beet pasta with crab in a champagne sauce. OMG it was Phenomenal!! I'm not a beet person but damn this dish completely changed my mind! My hubby had the tortellini with beef - YUM! It just melts in your mouth. The night was perfect with a nice chill. I loved sitting outside under the stars and eating Chef Renzo's amazing food. It was a PERFECT NIGHT!!

My husband and I first came here to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary, and we had an amazing time. We returned today to celebrate Valentine's Day a couple of days late. We were seated at a lovely table by the water, enjoying a beautiful view! Our waiter was such a nice guy; I think his name was Elvin (I hope I'm spelling it correctly). The gentleman who cleared our dirty dishes was William, and he was very nice as well. Our food was delicious, and we genuinely had a great time. As we were saying goodbye, the lovely hostess gave us a bag with two delicious chocolate trifles. We will definitely be back for our next occasion. I love nice people and a great ambiance!

Clear sky's and a soft breeze made Luna Blu's patio the perfect lunch spot. We tried the squid ink seafood pasta and filet mignon meatballs. Both flavorful, though the pasta was a little tough. The seafood was fresh and the meatballs were a amazing. Quick, friendly service and relaxing vibes made it a spot worth checking out. Wouldn't mind coming back.

Yuck! Expensive mediocre food. $40 for a piece of salmon, no sides included. I won't be back.

In Tiburon, where street parking doesn't exist, this alone deserves a star. The valet crew was friendly and even recommended dishes. We had a reservation but still waited about 20 minutes to be seated. It's Valentine's Day, so I get it, though it did cost us the sunset we'd timed our reservation around. We didn't get our requested window seat either, but to be fair, you can see the water from pretty much anywhere in the restaurant, and the views are genuinely beautiful. We grabbed drinks at the bar while we waited. Bartender was quick and personable even in the rush. The Mad Men Old Fashioned and Bay Side Bellini were both perfectly fine. Food was good, not great. The jumbo shrimp appetizer was the standout: fresh, big, well prepared. The crumble cheesecake was solid too. The Kurobuta Tomahawk pork chop was a bit dry and could have used a sauce to go along with it. My Chicken Milanese had nice texture but leaned a little heavy on the vinaigrette. Mashed potatoes on both plates were good. Prices are above average but not unreasonable for waterfront dining. Staff was friendly and professional (tuxedos and everything), and the food came out faster than I expected for how busy it was. The waiter seemed a touch stretched thin, but that's a Valentine's Day problem, not a service problem. Jazz music, big windows, candlelit waterfront vibes: the ambiance delivers. One note: the restroom could use some attention. It was not in great shape when we visited.

You would think this establishment that has been around for decades should have it down to a science especially with the first impression, wrong! We came here to celebrate our milestone Anniversary and we were hoping to be "wowed" since it was our first time. We ordered the Grilled Ribeye Steak, Kurobata Tomahawk Pork Chop and Olive Oil Crispy Roasted Vegetables and Potatoes. We'll start with the Ribeye...was it even a Ribeye? It had no marbling and was not a thick cut, not even tender and had very little flavor. Kurobata Tomahawk Pork Chop...although great in presentation, and somewhat flavorful, it was mostly dry and overcooked. Don't bother with the side of the Olive Oil Crispy Roasted Vegetables and Potatoes, they were terrible and far from crispy, more like limp vegetables from the end of the day that needed to be discarded. Since it was our milestone Anniversary and there was a mention of it on the reservation, there was zero acknowledgement of it when it came time for dessert. That was a bit disappointing when it came to attention to detail. The positive in my review was that the service was satisfactory and from where we were seated the views of San Francisco Bay were spectacular! I know this is a harsh review but it's important to know for the price point, it does not live up to the quality you would expect!

We opted for the Brunch Prix Fixe menu ($49 per person), selecting two appetizers and two entrées, and every single dish exceeded expectations. To begin, the Jalapeño Lobster Toast was a standout. The lobster was incredibly tender and sweet, elevated by a delicate kick from the jalapeño, the ginger aïoli added a subtle warmth. Each bite was layered, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Equally impressive was Michael Mina's Ahi Tuna Tartare (well worth the supplement). This dish was a masterpiece of freshness and complexity. The tuna was pristine, melting in the mouth, while the combination of mint, chilis, and Asian pear created a mix of coolness, heat, and sweetness. The pine nuts added a welcome crunch, and the garlic habanero-sesame oil delivered a bold, aromatic depth that made the dish very unique. For the main course, the Bungalow Benedict was pure comfort elevated to perfection. Served on a beautifully toasted Model Bakery English muffin, the Canadian bacon was rich and savory, while the poached eggs were cooked flawlessly, their yolks silky and indulgent. The hollandaise was luxuriously smooth while the breakfast potatoes on the side were crisp, golden, and perfectly seasoned. The Steak Frites Au Poivre (also a supplement) was another highlight. The filet medallions were cooked exactly to temperature (we asked for med rare) tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The au poivre sauce added a refined peppery richness that complemented the meat beautifully. The crinkle-cut fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside! Dessert was the perfect finale. The Brûléed Basque Cheesecake was extraordinary, so creamy and rich with a delicately caramelized top that added depth and texture. The Three Layer Chocolate Cake was pure decadence. Moist, rich, and intensely chocolatey, it was elevated by the lightness of whipped crème fraîche. The salted caramel sauce tied everything together with a perfect sweet-salty finish....you can tell I'm a chocoholic! Beyond the food, the ambiance deserves special mention. The space is incredibly refined, with a soothing palette of pastel tones that immediately invites relaxation. The décor draws inspiration from Art Nouveau and Art Deco, creating an atmosphere that feels both timeless and thoughtfully curated. Everything is immaculate, contributing to an overall sense of understated luxury. Finally, the service truly elevated the entire experience. The General Manager, Giovanni, was outstanding. He guided us through every detail of the menu, offering thoughtful explanations and perfectly pairing wines with each course. His presence was attentive yet never intrusive, making us feel completely at ease. His professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge added a personal touch that made the experience truly memorable. RECCOMENDED!

Service was warm and genuinely friendly, but noticeably sluggish for a special occasion dinner. The cocktail menu leans hard into "curated house creations," but the execution left little room for nuance -- the Mezcal Negroni was essentially just a glass of Mezcal wearing a Negroni costume. If the base spirit is going to be that forward, it needs to be intentional, not a shortcut. Appetizers were decent but felt almost apologetically small -- the kind of portions that make you wonder if they're building anticipation or just cutting costs. The mains told a similar story. Generous in size, sure, but each dish had at least one thing you couldn't ignore: the lobster pot pie needed more depth and richness to justify itself, the pork came out dry, the salmon's romesco skewed so sweet it lost all its savory backbone, and the hanger steak -- despite being listed as a featured cut -- was surprisingly undersized. The bones of something great are clearly here: a fun concept, a nice space, a staff that cares. But right now the kitchen isn't finishing its sentences. Oh, and the dessert? waaaay too sweet and inedible. I'd give it another shot on a better night -- hopefully the execution catches up to the ambition.
