No response from No Name! UPDATE: Seated at the bar. I calmly waited till the male bartender was ready to serve me. I was looking for a tap Beer and I couldn't read the fourth beer's name because the handle was too dark. I was looking for something like a Pale Ale or a 805 or Henhouse, so ask "are there any other taps?" any annoyingly said "they're all right here in front of you". I said, sorry but I would hope a place like this have more than four taps. He got pissed in 30 seconds and responded "I'm not gonna serve you" and I go "for what". no answer So I said "because you're annoyed at me for I'm asking you questions about the beers you have and you're not even busy" he says "so yeah get out of here." Well, the female bartender was fine and so was a bouncer. It was great and he asked me not to leave a negative review Well, I said "If you guys comment back that you're gonna speak to tthe "tough guy" that's being a punk to a well dressed decent guy that's sober. A lovely dive bar with a more than hundred years history right on Sausalito's downtown drag. Just blocks from the ferry, and a block from a bus stop that can take either north into Marin or right over the bridge to the city, and long waterside walks every which way you look, this is a perfect unpretentious spot for after-dinner drinks with friends or a date (and lack of pretention is at a premium in Sausalito). read more

Just the average dive bar. Nothing special. I couldn't wait around for the band to play. Which may have changed my perspective. I saw them setting up. And I do think it's awesome they have free nightly jazz which is rare. Service was great, greeted as soon as I walked in. They were eager and ready to serve.The one drink I had, margarita was strong. This bar is located in a touristy area of Sausalito, near the water. The venue is clean and cute with the walls randomly decorated with sports memorabilia, musician artworks, and masks. Beautiful colored lighting, a cozy patio in the back with additional seating, and a small stage in the main space, with live music between 8:30-11:00pm on a Sunday night. We enjoyed the soft sounds of Jake Soffer this past weekend, playing originals as well as covers ranging from Justin Bieber to the Beatles, on the electric guitar, with a bit of looping as well. The place had steady business during the hours of live entertainment, but was pretty empty afterward and later into the night. Finding seating was not an issue around 9pm. Can't speak for parking since it was a Sunday night and we just walked over from our hotel. Service was great, the bar staff checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Drinks were standard, decent cocktails and pretty cheap compared to other similar places. Cool bar with a laid back atmosphere. I'd recommend it, especially when they have live music. read more

We chose this place because of the reviews that say it is dog friendly. The back enclosed patio (no fresh air at all!) is where the dogs are allowed, but it's also where other customers can smoke. We went on a mid Sunday afternoon, and there were about four people smoking. We had already ordered drinks so we stayed and finished those. But our poor pup was desperate for fresh air! read more

A group of us went here impromptu one night after three days of hiking. They had a live jazz band and we danced the night away with a bunch of locals. Everyone was super friendly, drinks are cheap, and it was great during the pandemic just to be out and enjoying life again. Firstly, Iam not one bit woke or precious, I am an immigrant and now citizen and have a wide range of friends and we constantly make fun of each other's backgrounds etc But when you openly experience real racism, that just crosses the line, we can here last night, 8 of us, my friends husband is black and another friend is Mexican, as they passed the band, one of the guys said "we better hide the tip jar" I know I can't blame the bar itself for this but if these are the guys you employee then you got to take some of the blame. The No Name Bar is located on the south side of Bridgeway between Bay and Anchor. This bar doesn't have a name and quite honestly I don't remember seeing a sign but what I do remember is that the front was open and they have a back patio. For a place to just hang and get simple drinks this is the place. I was quite simple as all I wanted was beer from a tap and my wife wanted a white wine spritzer. The back patio is not necessarily covered as it's open air but there's a pergola/lattice roof type shade so there's both sun and shade. Smoking is apparently allowed outside on this patio too and one other patron was smoking but it wasn't a bother to us since he was on the other side. The patio is basically all cushioned seating and seems to be sort of tight but if there's not many people it won't seem as crowded. We only stayed for a few drinks but that's all we were looking for during a sunny afternoon which was perfect. read more

We walked in to have a few drinks while we waited on the 5pm ferry. it was fine at first. we sat at the bar and ordered a drink. There is no menu provided, so you will need to know what you want. I asked if they had any ciders. I was told yes and brought one. It was not great but drinkable. After we finished our first drink, we waited for the barmaid to be done with her conversation sith a local patron. Once she was done, we thought we'd be able to get another drink. Instead, she started up a conversation with another local (of which were taking shots before their shift at the Mexican restaurant down the street....). There was not a breath to be had to be able to interrupt. There were all of 7 people in the bar and we were blatantly ignored. I cannot recommend this place in good faith if you are not a local. It is dark, dingy, and smells all of which we were willing to look past. We are frequent travelers and understand the importance of local patrons but the way we were ignored was intentional. It's tough for me to write this one. I really like this place, in fact a dear friend of ours was singing in the band that performed that night so it was great being there with a bunch of friends and family to cheer them on. However, something happened that I think I need to write a warning about here. It's a short story and hopefully not as bad as I think it is. This place is cash-only. No problem, they have an ATM machine if you come with plastic. That's not the issue. While we were enjoying the music, a waitress came to take our order, and when each round was delivered she stood at the table until she was paid. OK, I get it, cash bar, no tabs, settle up each round. Still no problem. What WAS a problem is that this waitress came around a couple of times (after we'd had a couple of rounds) and asked more than one party at our table to pay up for the drinks they had in front of them. Now, as I mentioned she had already collected for each round when they were delivered, in fact wouldn't leave the table till she was paid... so how is it exactly then that she thought we owed her for a round that had been on the table a while? Apparently one of my friends did pay her twice for a round (before I noticed what she was doing), but when she asked me "could you pay me for these?" my response was a firm but polite "I paid when you delivered them, the tab came to 21 bucks, i gave you two twenties, and even tipped you from the change, remember?" to which she just walked away. Hmmmm. The moral of the story? Be very watchful in a cash bar, your wait person may be double dipping to take advantage of your sobriety or lack thereof. read more
