Macarons are beyond words

Pleasant surprise brings tasty delight to Sausalito! Being a dessert guy, just love the Macarons, Apple Pie, avec glacé, if you like ice cream on your pie & the Fresh seasonal berries to delight the senses & tastebuds! Yum

Had a great breakfast, docked one point off because of the service - weren't very attentive and were slightly rude. Saw this comment on multiple reviews - so I hope the restaurant works on this. Got the French toast and the crispy omelette. The latter was really good with the pistachio pesto - prosciutto tasted more like ham than prosciutto. The French toast was phenomenal!!! The compote was tart and the toast was very nicely crusted! Loved that it wasn't heavy enough but filling for a light breakfast!

A cozy café with a beautiful view of the bay. Seating is both inside and outside, with the outside seating understandably seeming to be more popular. We visited at brunch on Friday, but they also have a dinner menu posted. There were two servers on staff and both were attentive and friendly. I greatly enjoyed my BLT eggs Benedict - it had lemon zest that really brought out the flavor.

Steak frites, my go-to

Suzette is a charming little bistro/cafe on the Sausalito waterfront facing San Francisco. Come here on a clear day and experience the magic all around. The first time I visited, they had just opened. Fast forward a couple years later, I'm happy they are still thriving. I'm a creature of habit, so I can't help but order the same thing every time - steak frites! I just LOVE it!!!! Transports me back to Paris, c'est tres bon! I always ask for aioli for my fries, and my meal never disappoints. Last visit I got my usual, along w the mussels and the burrata salad. My gosh, I was a happy camper apres dinner.

Located right on Sausalito's main street, Bridgeway, Suzette's is a most delightful warp to a Parisian bistro. The view of San Francisco and the Bay alone are worth the visit. Didier is a gracious and funny host, exhibiting that graceful economy of movement you expect from a professional. We felt most welcome in his care. The restaurant is well-lighted, with ample seating within and on the sidewalk. The latter comes with a cozy fire and blankets to ward off the marine fog's chill. This evening we choose: BISON CARPACCIO - Brillat-Savarin, pickled red onion and black olive tapenade Extremely satisfying, creamy, and tasty. CRISPY KATAFI GOAT CHEESE SALADE - Pomegranate, organic watermelon radishes little gem lettuce and pomelos A big portion of a savory and crunchy salad; the angel hair filo dough is a great texture! DUCK CONFIT & POMMES CAMPAGNARDES - Smashed fingerling potatoes, caramelized onions, smoked Niçoise olives, and a shallot confit sauce One of the best ducks I've had in a very long time, sauced with a deep, grounding essence of farmland. I'll definitely be craving this. BŒUF BOURGUIGNON - Beef stew with mushrooms, bacon, pearl onions, and buttery mashed potatoes Amazing stew, and mashed potatoes that put others to shame. This was a great date night, perfect for the location and menu! Thanks, Didier!!

Didier & Team Make Dining Feel Like Paris in Sausalito "Tout est impeccable." From the moment you step in--wedged between a wild shirt shop and a pizza hallway--you're transported. The dining room opens up like a secret, looking out to the silver sea, and suddenly you're in France. The menu? Traditional French, crafted with care. Escargot, pâté, moules, boeuf bourguignon--every bite is ooh la la perfection. It's refined without fussy being optional..... You can taste the owner's devotion in every detail. This is one of Sausalito's true hidden gems, underrated and quietly extraordinary. And then there's Didier. He doesn't just work the floor--he is the floor. A one-man show who somehow makes it all flow seamlessly, with cordial warmth and an elegance that feels Parisian to the bone. Impeccable timing, impeccable grace. He makes you feel like you're part of the story here. I'm going to add five stars--because I can't give it six.

We sat inside and the seating and tables are for petite people. If you're tall or overweight/obese, I recommend sitting outside. The tables weren't completely solid - meaning you can push down on them which was weird. Food was tasty and the bacon in the beef bourguignon was delicious, thick, and not too salty. The beef was pretty good too. There were slices of bread with tapenade. I've never had this with a Niçoise salad before. It would have been better if the greens were closer to bitesize. Steak and eggs- no complaints and the steak was tasty. Make sure you check out the baked goods on the counter before you leave or before you ask for the check. The Madeleines were very oily and tasted just ok. Will update this review once I've tried the chocolate bar. Employees were friendly, our water glasses were always full, and they clear the table of dirty dishes right away.

Very nice view and service! Highly recommend! Right on the water couldn't get better!

This has become one of my French cafes in the Bay Area. A beautiful view of the Bay coupled with delicious food, friendly service and a lovely place for me to come and enjoy my fashion magazines (yes, they still print them). Every visit, I'm always greeted by the charming and delightful owner, Didier. This last visit, as I was leaving the cafe, he gave me a quick twirl and spin around the cafe floor. If you make a trip out to Sausalito, please make Suzette a place to visit.

Inside table

Came here on a Sunday around noon, no wait and was seated immediately. The French toast is THE BEST I've had in the area by far. The berry compote is exceptional. My fiancé also enjoyed the ciabatta burger, the meat and bacon were tender and delicious with house made frites! Our server was friendly and attentive, and we got a beautiful view of the water. Will be recommending to everyone we know.

Charming French-inspired breakfast spot by the water! The food is excellent, and their unique take on Benedicts really stands out. Highly recommend if you're looking for a tasty breakfast in the area. Just note--seating is limited!

Got it. I'll turn this into a polished Yelp Elite-style narrative: observant, balanced, a little…read morewitty, and clearly written by someone who actually spends time here--not a fly-by latte tourist. This spot feels like the other side of Sausalito--in the best way. If Sausalito Bakery is the pressed-linen, weekend-brunch version of town, this place is where the everyday locals land. Same essence, very different energy. Cozy, familiar, and quietly charming without trying too hard. The space itself is warm and inviting, with a lived-in feel and a glowing sign in the back that somehow makes the whole room feel softer. There's a large communal table, plenty of indoor seating, and a steady hum of conversation that creates excellent white noise. It's a solid place to get work done--as long as you're not recording audio, because it does get a little loud--but for emails, planning, or a casual work session, it absolutely works. Now, the matcha. This is the real headline. I'll be honest: I used to actively avoid ordering matcha here. It was mediocre at best. About five months ago, they changed it--slight improvement, but still not there. I know the ownership was proud of that update, but something clearly changed again since then, because today's matcha was genuinely impressive. Like, stop-what-you're-doing impressive. At this point, I'm comfortable saying this is the best matcha in Sausalito. Egg Lady's is fine, but it doesn't come close. Sausalito Bakery is lovely to hang out in, and their pastries are great--but their matcha is forgettable. This one isn't. (The only matcha I've had locally that competes was at an ERIA Events gathering, but that's not exactly a walk-in situation, so it doesn't count.) If you're in Sausalito specifically looking for matcha, this is the place. They're also great with substitutions, service is quick, and the owner has a genuinely warm, welcoming presence--lots of friendly back-and-forth with regulars, which adds to the atmosphere rather than distracting from it. I didn't try the pastries or sandwiches this time (not much of a pastry person), though everything looked solid. Outdoor seating exists, but with the weather being a bit unpredictable lately, indoor is the move. Fair warning: parking is a hassle. I parked in the lot near Trident, and while it worked, the valet experience was... unpleasant enough that I probably wouldn't do it again. Plan accordingly. All in all, this is a comfortable, local-feeling café with excellent matcha, good energy, and enough seating to make it a reliable go-to. It may not be the "scene," but it's exactly the kind of place you end up recommending when someone asks, "Where do you actually like to go?"

All in all I give Firehouse five stars

This is my favorite equator location. Not for people watching (go to their Miller Ave location for…read morethat), & not because the drinks are somehow better here or anything; Equator drinks are consistent throughout all of their locations. It's THIS particular location... On CA-1 in Mill Valley, it's so conveniently on the way to downtown Mill Valley, Stinson Beach, Point Reyes...etc, etc. But regardless of where you're going, stopping in here feels like you're on vacation. Beach/ocean/surf culture. The vibe is a thousand percent beach hut/surf shop, even with no actual beach in sight. How charming is that? Somehow browsing surfboards, even when you don't surf, assuages that unfulfilled dream, or fuels your standing wanderlust. Did you know that Thomas Keller serves Equator coffee at all of his properties? They partnered up 25 years ago, & equator even does special blends at certain TK restaurants. Even though Equator is available at grocery stores now, you should still come here. 5 star coffee in another 5 star location

There was a decent amount of parking available & we were quickly able to order / get our coffee even though there were a few people ahead of us already. We got the Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Shakerato, Cardamom & Chocolate Fika Bun, & The Habibi Latte which were all great. There was a good amount of seating outside as well which was set up really nice / looked cute. Also, after visiting I learned Equator is a BCorp and actually the first B Corp roaster in CA. Love supporting a business whose food not only tastes good but who also does good for the community!
