So I just ordered a croque madam. It came out so incredibly soggy that I couldn't eat it. I've attached the instructions on how to make it since your rude waiter wanted to argue with the table about it. I have never dealt with such a rude man. In what world does a waiter argue with a customer. In what world does a man think it's appropriate to yell at a woman who is just telling them her food is too soggy to eat. Fire that man. I'm a local and I will be talking shit to all my people about how much this place sucks. I wouldn't have had such a strong feeling if the waiter wasn't such a po towards my mom. I've been trained in French cooking and I am telling you what I was served was not a croque madame. Read a French cookbook it's not hard. Also if I'm going to be so honest, the egg was over cooked and yall were so cheap with the crab on the Benedict. Now I know why the restaurant was empty. How It's Made Prep: Brush bread with Dijon mustard and layer with ham and Gruyère.Toast: Fry the sandwich in butter until golden brown and the cheese begins to melt.Bake/Broil: Top the sandwich with a layer of Béchamel and more cheese. Broil in the oven until bubbling and browned.Finish: While the sandwich is broiling, fry an egg sunny-side up. Top the hot sandwich with the egg and serve immediately. read more

I've been to Suzette before and came back for lunch on a recent visit to Sausalito. Seated outside immediately, gorgeous day, great view... solid start. The food was delicious like I remembered. I ordered the moules marinières (the same as last time) and was happy I did. Mussels were good-sized and nicely steamed, the broth was excellent... just wish they'd provided more than one slice of bread with the dish because there was a lot of good sauce left to soak it up. My friend had the oeuf à la coque and loved it, especially the truffle butter. The one downside was that we had no silverware or napkins at the table. The waiter did not notice, nor did we until we went to start eating and had to get his attention to bring us settings. The drinks were another story. I ordered a non-alcoholic wine and after waiting some time, was told they didn't have it. I was offered to see the drink menu again and the waiter said he'd bring it right to me but must have gotten sidetracked because he forgot, and I had to flag him down. I decided on a vodka flight since the vodkas are distilled and bottled by the owners and thought it was worth a try... the French wheat, Espelette chili, and Williams pear. Food arrived before the drinks did. The waiter came back and asked me again what vodkas I had ordered. When the flight finally showed up I'm pretty sure all three were the Espelette chili despite me ordering three different ones. It wasn't worth the time to confirm as we had to catch the ferry back to San Francisco, but noted here as it was disappointing. Little cards naming each vodka would be a nice touch... though it wouldn't have helped much in my case. Also, a proper tasting set instead of three loose glasses would help too. Hopefully this was just a one-off. Still a cute spot worth stopping at if you're spending time in Sausalito. read more

Second time here not as great an experience. This time the young lady at the counter was replaced with an older man. Our server was the same and he was amazing. The view also was amazing still. The service from the other man was horrible. Mean, short, not friendly at all to me. It wasn't as if he was incapable because he was nice to several people. As dusk was coming there was a chill in the air, he offered everyone outside blankets and left some on an empty chair except me....and a other Asian family. I absolutely love my experience at Suzette's. The space has a very chic, modern decor and nice outdoor seating. It was a little windy so we sat inside. The service was great! Our server was on top of it and juggling multiple tables super well! We got the brown butter latte and the Crispy Inside Out Omelette which came with Prosciutto Di Cotto, Pistachio Pesto, Arugula And Emmental Cheese, with Roasted Potatoes. This omelette was absolutely stunning. I still think about this crispy omelette, it was so good. The prosciutto with the pesto and arugula were such a great pairing. Came here for brunch in a Saturday for 2, and didn't have to wait at all. Got outdoor seating since it was a beautiful day in Sausalito so had to take advantage. We ordered the oysters, inside out omelette and the smoked salmon Benedict. I really liked the omelette! It was pretty unique omelette since the ingredient weren't all mixed in, and the egg was sort of like a taco shell. Honestly, I think the weather, location and view really added to the whole experience and really enjoyed the meal. I think I would come back again if I were ever in Sausalito again! read more

Had a great breakfast, docked one point off because of the service - weren't very attentive and were slightly rude. Saw this comment on multiple reviews - so I hope the restaurant works on this. Got the French toast and the crispy omelette. The latter was really good with the pistachio pesto - prosciutto tasted more like ham than prosciutto. The French toast was phenomenal!!! A cozy café with a beautiful view of the bay. Seating is both inside and outside, with the outside seating understandably seeming to be more popular. We visited at brunch on Friday, but they also have a dinner menu posted. There were two servers on staff and both were attentive and friendly. We sat inside and the seating and tables are for petite people. If you're tall or overweight/obese, I recommend sitting outside. The tables weren't completely solid - meaning you can push down on them which was weird. Food was tasty and the bacon in the beef bourguignon was delicious, thick, and not too salty. The beef was pretty good too. There were slices of bread with tapenade. I've never had this with a Niçoise salad before. It would have been better if the greens were closer to bitesize. Steak and eggs- no complaints and the steak was tasty. Make sure you check out the baked goods on the counter before you leave or before you ask for the check. The Madeleines were very oily and tasted just ok. Will update this review once I've tried the chocolate bar. Employees were friendly, our water glasses were always full, and they clear the table of dirty dishes right away. read more

Suzette was the perfect day to getaway from the Bay's activities on a Saturday. We caught the ferry from Vallejo, had a beautiful ride and the weather was perfect. We got a sidewalk table with a beautiful view of San Francisco. Had a good Bloody Mary and ordered the onion soup and a bowl of mussels in the most fabulous garlic sauce, I ate it by the spoonfuls! The onion soup was superb with lots of cheese. I should have ordered more bread to sop up the sauce. My daughter had the salmon eggs Benedict - really good but rich. A beautiful view of the Bay coupled with delicious food, friendly service and a lovely place for me to come and enjoy my fashion magazines (yes, they still print them). Rude service, if I could give zero stars I would. Went here on 3/15/26 around 3pm with my mom and had one of the worst service experiences. We had just finished a hike and were looking forward to enjoying a drink with a nice view. We waited quite a while to be seated. When the server finally approached us, he told us we could only sit at the tables directly in the sun, even though there were multiple open tables in the shade. When we politely asked if we could sit at one of the shaded tables instead, he responded, "No, you can choose from one of these." Because of the attitude, we decided to leave. After trying a few other places that were packed, we came back hoping maybe it was just a misunderstanding the first time. Unfortunately, the second experience was even worse. The server told us "the coffee shop next door may have room for you," despite there still being several open tables. It's a beautiful location, but the service completely ruined the experience. We will not be recommending this place or returning. read more

It was like they took 2 pieces of wonder bread and lightly warmed it, versus a true croque madame with nicely toasted crisp bread. And the egg was hard! Inedible slop I wouldn't feed an inmate. Then the waiter tried to argue it was cooked properly. Like why is a waiter arguing with the customer? Now I understand why every other restaurant on that street was packed and yours was empty. The decor is very tasteful yet elegant with cleaver details- well designed. Had the wonderful Brioche French toast with berry compote. Especially enjoyed the hint to citrus in the compote. My daughter shied away to avoid it when tried to kiss her. Not cool these days dude! Food was not that okay. Coming to Sausalito averaging prices of burger in that area ($25-30) somehow is expected to be really good. The host/cashier/server was kind though. Nothing fancy on food. We had 2 burgers with brie cheeses and mine was the sausage with fries @ $24. Not sure if the sausage was supposed to be not fully grinded, had pork and some other meat that it falls down when you cut or bite. BTW, there is $3.9 % tip auto- charged on the table and my son need to ask for water refill. read more
