Service and ice cream options are a lot better than the options across the street. Best part was the service, very friendly and kind. 3 stars because 2 single scoop ice cream cones for $16 is criminal and I'm giving 3 stars so something can be done. But I understand it's an expensive area...

I got the chocolate peanut butter flavor, and the ice cream was decent. The peanut butter came in large chunks, which I wasn't expecting, and they tasted salty for my liking. The ordering process was also disorganized. Staff take your order first, but then you have to get in another line to pay, which creates multiple lines and slows things down.

Vanilla Bean ice cream!

Unfortunately this location didn't have any vegan ice cream options aside from the sorbets (I'm dairy free!) so my mom had this vanilla ice cream! She got one scoop of the no sugar low fat vanilla ice cream with a waffle cone; she described it as creamy but not too heavy! The vanilla is not too sweet - which is huge coming from my Asian mom! The service was quick and the shop was so cute and cozy! There was a line but it moved quickly.

Lappert's Ice Cream is a must visit in Sausalito! They have amazing and unique flavors, and the ice cream is super creamy. The staff were friendly, and the ambience is cute inside. A lot of people stop by Lappert's for a sweet treat while walking along the Sausalito boardwalk. Their scoops are pretty big too, great value and delicious!

UGHHH the cookie monster ice cream is just sooo pretty and delicious - I am craving it! Lappert's Ice Cream is a great ice cream spot around the area. Huge scoops. Delicious ice cream. A very nice way to eat it is by walking around the water - some peace, serenity, and the blue cookie monster.

We ordered the sea salt caramel flavor, and it was huge enough to share. The flavor was so good -- the slight saltiness balanced the rich sweetness of the caramel perfectly. We chose a chocolate almond waffle cone, which we both liked. The ice cream store was very popular, so it was crowded inside. I will definitely come back to try other flavors.

Love this ice cream shop! Hawaiian tropical vibes. Unique and tasty flavors. Great location. Service was fast. Lines can be long, so be patient. You will be rewarded with a delicious treat!

Another ice-cream spot just convenient. We went around 6pm on a saturday after dinner. No lines.

I came here for ice cream one weekend afternoon. There was a line and a crowd when I stopped by. We are able to sample a variety of flavors and they have so many flavors available. They had a lot of ice cream flavors I have not had before, the ice cream was good. Got the guava sorbet which was fine, but the coconut pineapple and the nuku hiva were good.

Ice cream with unique flavors and tropical region flavors. The single ice cream scoop is pretty large, with waffle cone, it is $7.55. Afternoon weekend has a short line. Need better organization, maybe an extension of waiting line rope since customers kept bumping into each other to grab the wooden spoons. Employees were trying to guide customers, but no one was listening and the store is quite loud. Ordered a Kauai pie which has coffee, macadamia nuts, coconut shreds. This flavor is not too swee, but does not stand out. The cone was crunchy, I believe they import cone from Italy. Overall, the store is nice. Interesting ice cream flavors, but it tastes like your standard ice cream.

For how long the line was, ice cream didn't live up to the expectation. Wasn't incredibly creamy or flavourful as hoped and there were other ice cream spots along the boardwalk that were less busy.

We came in on a summer weekday afternoon. This shop is pretty small with only a little seating indoors & a little seating outside. It was fairly busy. Don't plan on being able to stay to enjoy your ice cream. We saw a list of flavors up on the wall. Because the counter was crowded with big groups before us, we couldn't get a look at the ice cream prior to our turn. I snagged quick pics of some cases between getting blocked again. There wasn't a line order per se & a worker would just call for whoever was next. Customer service didn't feel friendly or welcoming at all. It felt rushed with an obvious impatient attitude to hurry & tell them what you want, no offer of a sample or to answer any questions. We just decided to go off the flavor list on the wall for some tasty sounding straightforward choices. We got scoops of Vanilla Bean, Kahlua Truffle, & Chocolate Peanut Butter. The ice cream was delicious, flavorful, rich, & creamy. We got good sized scoops that we really enjoyed.

Blueberry Cheesecake and Mayor's Creation

If you're in Sausalito, this classic ice cream shop is worth a visit. There was a long line when I walked past it, so I walked around for a bit before looping back...and the line was still long (so it must be popular for a reason)! I was able to sample some flavors and went with the Blueberry Cheesecake. Very creamy and reminds me of the Costco blueberry muffin in the best way. Also had a taste of the Mayor's Creation, which is a must try for espresso and chocolate lovers. We had our ice cream by the water, which was absolutely the cherry on top!

There was something indescribable, though, that hinted that they rely on the picturesque views to make up for food that is "good" - but not "great." Let's start on a positive note. You can't beat the view. Our server was well informed about the menu, attentive, and friendly - but unwilling to help too much with the menu selections. "Everything is good" is a bit of a pet peeve of mine but I'm not holding this against the rating of this restaurant as that's pretty server-specific. We started with a half dozen local oysters on the half shell which were actually amazing. Perhaps the most mild tasting oysters I have ever had and served with a champagne mignonette, cocktail sauce, and fresh horseradish - all of which paired nicely. For my main course, I had the petrale sole - a very mild, delicate, Pacific flatfish. While flaky and tender, it did lack flavor and was served with some relatively uninspired accompaniments - a saffron rice and some roasted vegetables which was mostly green beans and celery. One of my friends ordered the paella which he said was "great." Overall very decent experience on par with so many other coastal restaurants that know they can fill the seats with the amazing views alone. I would definitely come back - but would likely order something different... except for the oysters - those were a must to order again!

Invited to sit at the bar which provides a limited menu. Ended up getting several appetizers. Crab Cales, Calamari and baked artichoke. All were very good. Service was a little delayed due to the crowd, but our waiter was pretty fast once he actually got to us. Not the most inexpensive place to eat, but popular with the locals as well as the tourists.

What a treat…read more.. Hadn't been to the location since it was Guaymas - what a transition. Same beautiful views, upscale interior that goes with the casual like atmosphere. Outside seating was relaxing and the views complimented the evening. Nice to see staff members with smiles on their faces, don't always see that at a restaurant! Fharid was the server, ever attentive, but just enough! What's important...the food! Romaine Caesar Salad - just enough of the flavorful dressing to compliment the salad. Roasted Half Chicken - tender and absolutely delicious. Portions were very filling. A wonderful homemade peach mint chutney enhanced the flavor option if you so wished. I love chutney, wished I could buy a bottle to take home! Dark Chocolate Cake - words can't describe how good it was! Dark chocolate cake, sour cherries, fresh whipped cream - a piece of chocolate art. Hated to destroy the dessert, but I did! It was decided I should meet the baker. She came out and I thanked her again for the beautiful and flavorful surprise. The Bungalow Kitchen: Great evening, wonderful food, atmosphere is superb, lucky to live nearby.

I can't comment on what it was like at the Bungalow Kitchen in the "before" days people keep…read morereferring to since this was my first visit. I thought it was really good and the service was excellent. We got the brunch price fix and three out of four things were excellent. One could have used some improvement . We each got a salad to start . My Caesar salad was a very large portion and one of the best I've had. My husband loved the tomato salad with burrata and pesto and olives. The grilled salmon with summer squash was also a generous size and very good. The Bungalow Benedict was somewhat disappointing-- crammed on s much too small plate and the hollandaise was cold. It wasn't awful but just not up to the standard it should be especially at that price. Home fries were hot and tasty. Nice looking place with a wall of windows looking out at the water. We had to ask to move our seats because the chairs were too low for the tables ( in our opinion) but our waiter was very nice and it was not a problem. We had a nice view of the water. We parked on the street on a Saturday mid morning with no problem. Waiter, host and bussers were all great. It was quite a pleasant experience.

We were going into the city to explore and stopped in Sausalito to catch the ferry…read more We had missed the one we intended to take, so we walked around a bit and decided to try out Taste of Rome for brunch. It is a cute little deli/bakery/restaurant. They gave us a menu and we sat down, but we ended up ordering at the counter. My girlfriend ordered the Fiorentina - Egg White with Spinach, Mushroom & Garlic and I got the Piemontese - Spicy Ground Beef, Mushroom, Spinach & Gorgonzola Cheese. We both throughly enjoyed our meals! The ground beef was not spicy at all though. We were hoping we had left room for a sweet treat, but we were stuffed!! I don't know if I'll make the special trip out here again, but if we are around, we might come again to try a sweet treat!

I'm really disappointed with my recent experience ordering from this restaurant through Grubhub…read more I understand that Grubhub handles delivery logistics, but it's still the restaurant's responsibility to communicate with customers when there are issues. I was left waiting about 45 minutes with no update--no notice of a delay, no mention that there might not be a driver available, nothing. What made it worse was calling the restaurant for help. The response I received felt dismissive, and I was simply told the order was canceled. There was no effort to assist or provide any explanation. Yes, I received a refund, but that's not the point. Good customer service is about communication and respect for your customers' time. A quick update could have made a big difference. I hope the restaurant improves how they handle situations like this and works more closely with Grubhub to keep customers informed.
