Located right off the freeway, this location is convenient yet located on a busy street with zero parking and is easy to miss. I parked in the first open driveway, the same block as Oddcha, immediately after passing the store. Oddcha is located inside the archway gate of French Quarter on the left. A walk up window, with staff perched high closed behind, is where you retrieve your order. You can order in person from a screen or on their mobile site for pick up - I did the app. The ready by time was minimal and my order was ready when I arrived. I ordered the Twilight Taro ($7) with oat milk ($.80) and double boba ($1.50). The drink is a non caffeinated combination of taro and purple yams with fresh milk. When received, it did not resemble the picture from the menu. The drink was creamy, slightly thick, taro/purple yam forward, very flavorful and perfect with the less sweet option. I prefer no ice, I was only allowed a less ice option. The ice level seemed regular, consuming 3/4 of the cup space. They honored the double boba as each sip had ample boba to enjoy. With no one at the walk up window when I arrived, the staff was not proactive checking in on me. I had to knock on the window to have someone eventually acknowledge me. Not great considering two employees watched as I walked up and stopped in front of the window looking back at them. Besides that, it was an easy, flavorful experience. I always stop by here here after I get my car serviced. My car gets treated, then I get a treat! I found out that it's cheaper to order at the kiosk, then order pick up from the apps. I wish their scoop of boba was more generous. I had to come back after I drank half my drink and buy another scoop. Btw, the photo is just one scoop. An odd spot in an odd place for some oddcha; I do not think it's a coincidence! It's located in the side of victorian row shops next to the freeway and a busy one way street, I ended up parking across the street just to access this place. There may be parking behind the shop, but the one way streets and amount of cars made me play it safe. You order at a kiosk that makes you stoop over. The menu is definitely more geared towards Marin demographics than your average boba shop, though they do have the staple milk teas and matchas. I ordered a Thai Twister with less sugar and ice, fully expecting it was a Thai tea slush (which is actually a unique drink). Why wouldn't it be when there's cheese cream along the cup edges like the oddcha Matcha, and that they offer a basic Thai tea for the exact same price? Thoroughly disappointed when it was just a Thai MT with some cream cheese spread. I asked an employee to make sure, and they confirmed it was just a thai tea with cheese lol. The thai tea is objectively good, but then again it's REALLY hard to mess up thai tea. Instead, you simply place your order either online, or through the self-service kiosk located out front. There is a window next to the kiosk where they'll place your drink when ready. Ordered a Mango Supreme with Boba and really enjoyed the fresh mango taste, along with the nice and chewy boba. There's not a lot of boba options in San Rafael. But I'm glad Oddcha is one of them. This was my first time visiting Oddcha while heading home from San Francisco, and it definitely caught my attention because of the great reviews. We ordered the Coconut Bomb and the Thai Twister, and both drinks were excellent. They weren't overly sweet and had a really refreshing flavor. The boba also tasted fresh, which made the drinks even better. Ordering was easy using their kiosk system. One thing to note is that parking is located behind the shop. It was a bit confusing at first since the store is on a very busy road, but once you find the back parking area, it's much more convenient. The mango tango aka mango sticky rice drink is so good. It's basically a drinkable version of the mango sticky rice dessert - a blend of coconut stocky rice, mango, and coconut milk. It's apparently just a seasonal drink but they should definitely make it a permanent fixture on the menu! I didn't notice any seating, seemed just like a walk up and pick up spot. Also stopping on the main road is tough given traffic but you can pull into the abandoned gas station just slightly ahead near fourth street to step out and grab your drink. We were not familiar with the area but it was a bit confusing at first trying to locate the place because there was nowhere to park close by. I would call this American boba, but we are in Marin so its fitting. I'm not sure if American's are used to the authentic taste of freshly brewed tea. I was happy to find this in the middle of my day trip on a hot day! Totally saved me of dying from thirst - there aren't too many boba shops around this area. I really liked the historic looking architecture of this "French Quarter". Most boba shops back in Bay Area are just looking like soulless chains unlike here. The menu at oddcha had a pretty good range with many interesting options for sure, including things like cotton candy, which seemed to be geared more towards a western audience. I chose the Double Strawberry ($7.25) wanting something super refreshing. It for sure did the job. I also appreciated being able to adjust my sugar level to 0. However, I found the drink to be too icy overall and lacking enough strawberry flavor. Also seemed like it wasn't blended evenly - the strawberry parts were in random patches throughout the cup. Qualitywise, I do think there's some room for improvement here, especially considering the steep prices. Absolutely the best boba spot in the Bay Area This place has quickly become my number one boba spot in the entire Bay Area and for good reason. Their drinks are consistently delicious, refreshing, and made with fresh, organic ingredients that set them apart from the rest. The flavor combinations are thoughtful and well-balanced, never overly sweet, and always spot-on in consistency. My go-to favorites are the Taro Twister and Strawberry MilkBar. Both are incredibly smooth, flavorful, and satisfying. And if you're a matcha lover, you have to try their Ceremonial Matcha. It has just the right strength and pairs perfectly with any of their fruit purées. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality, and I appreciate that the drinks are always made quickly and accurately. I really enjoy all the drink options and the many ways to order what you need. It's a simple concept, but it's done extremely well. Everything is priced pretty reasonably. The drinks are very large. There's a lot of variety and interesting flavors. The staff are super friendly. Parking, however, is a challenge. You can park under the freeway in the French Quarter lot. You can also find street parking nearby if you know downtown well enough. It's basically a kiosk and order window, so the atmosphere is walk by and pick up your food and then keep walking. It's a pretty easy stop if you're visiting businesses nearby. So far, I'm not sure which of the drinks is my favorite, but I really love the special macho with Oreos and I also had a really great black tea with passionfruit recently. Found this spot on a whim and ordered ahead online for pickup. It's just a small pickup window so it's not an actual dine-in type boba shop to hang out inside. There was no easy way to park on the side since it's a busy street so we had to stop in a parking lot nearby to pull over. I ordered the Peach in Kyoto which is a peach milk tea, topped with matcha salted cheese. I also loved that they had mini boba as an option, which is not super common in boba shops! The drink was so refreshing. It wasn't too sweet at all! I would say though it's tough to have a topping with drinks that have a cream top but at least once you mix it all together the matcha cream starts to integrate better. I ordered 3 drinks -- one was great, the other two were so-so. My favorite was the Marin Refresher (with ice). I got it with less sugar, regular ice and nothing else extra. It was perfect. I had issues with the two other drinks: 1) the boba in the black sugar boba was undercooked (it is called "big boba," which is actually regular sized boba); 2) twilight taro lacked texture. I didn't get anything extra but next time, I would recommend getting SOMETHING mixed in (maybe yam chunks or whatever else is available on their menu) because the drink didn't have enough substance (either taro flavor or purple stuff). This is the flavor I hope for when my brain comes up with the desire for black milk tea boba. To literally and figuratively top it off, they also have cheese foam which, if you haven't tried- run, don't walk! I absolutely love this drink. Marin is a little bit of a drive south for me, but in the grand scheme of things, I don't bat an eye at driving up to Healdsburg for my favorite coffee drink or out to Napa for my favorite chocolate, so it's not that bad. The kiosk to order is tucked between some super random buildings but it's cute and shaded, and the drinks are so good. Only downside is access/parking. Getting to it can be daunting if you don't have a game plan ahead of time, with the on and off ramps, one way streets, and impatient drivers. Other than that, this is the top of the list for me in terms of black milk tea in the area. This is one of the best hidden gems here in San Rafael. Oddcha is so delicious but on top of having amazing drinks, a huge bonus is that their staff is always so nice. Oddcha is in the French Quarter in San Rafael right off/under the freeway. I've also found coming here relaxing with all the trees around. You can order quickly on a computer outside their window location, directly in person, or via the Toast app. My BF loves the Oreo Madness and I love the Thai Tea. But we also love to now switch it up occasionally with the Mango Tango!! I love that they have the option to order in Toast for Rewards, and I definitely wish you could submit receipts if you order from other apps or in person. I will always recommend Oddcha. I went with the Wow Wintermelon with Oat Milk and Boba. I asked for less ice and sweetness as adjustments can be made. The drink came out just like the photo. Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving as there was no taste of winter melon. The drink was creamy and tasted like a sweet milk. The boba was also very hard, probably due to me coming before they closed. I wanted to love the place and I wouldn't mind coming back to try something different. They catered my wedding up in Novato and it went great! The boba bar was a hit! We opted for made onsite so they were fresh and our guests could customize whatever topping they wanted and it wouldnt be a mess. The line went pretty fast! It was a bit windy so one of the 3 staffers had to hold some stuff down so it didnt fly away so it couldve been ever faster but the line was flowing. People went back for seconds and some thirds because it was good. Oddcha was super easy going and easy to work with as I wanted custom stickers for the wedding. I dropped them off a couple weeks before the wedding and they stuck them all on before the wedding to help speed up the line. They also printed out the boba his, her and our drinks sign which was so cute. Also they brought a boba LED sign to really sell the boba bar feel.
