In house baked gluten free chocolate almond scone

So so so good! First off, this shop is so aesthetically pleasing. I loved the decor and the vibes. Everyone inside looked like they were enjoying their coffee and food as well. The worker who helped me was great. The name on my ticket said Joe, if that makes any difference. They suggested one of the seasonal beverages and I loved it. The espresso was smooth and delicious. I think it was a honey cinnamon latte. I wish I remembered. But when I go back I'll definitely get it again. I also got a gluten feee chocolate chip scone. Also very good warmed up. It was filling, so I only ate half and ate the other half the next day and it was still good. Thanks for an awesome experience!

I ordered take out and they break the cookie or give you broken cookie.

Great matcha, cookies not so well packed for take out. I won't be ordering baked goods to go from this place anymore but the matcha is well done and highly recommend.

Cool decor and vibe. Good variety of coffee to choose from with a lot of customizable flavors to add Tried their pumpkin spice added to their cold brew. It was not your traditional Starbucks/sugar-bomb flavor you would expect. So it was an unexpected but still nice change from the usual. Had some interesting food options to pick on another occasion (toast, pastries, etc). They also sell their own roast coffee beans.

I love pink so I love it here. The café is such a cute setting with pink tables and chairs, a little free library, and a fireplace. It's definitely homey and cozy. I love the mochi muffins from 3rd Culture Bakery. Ample parking in front. They close kinda early at 4 which is a bummer.

We came here on our way to the hike from Fremont this morning. it was an absolute pleasure to be here. Very cozy coffee shop, and the coffee hit the spot. The host was definitely very nice. The only problem was they didn't our bag so make sure you remind them to the bagel. Other than that, I will definitely be back at this coffee shop.

My husband and I were very pleased with Pink Owl Coffee! Very cute decor and cozy atmosphere! The staff were short but very efficient, patient and friendly! We are not used to that coming from Miami! The only thing we wish it was that they had one in Miami Beach! We highly recommend Pink Owl Coffee to everyone!!!

Masala Chai Latte with Oat Milk

Cute decor and ambiance. This place is right in the middle of downtown San Rafael and I stopped in to get a chai and pastry. Seems the use a chai tea (steeped in water) and add a splash of milk instead of it actually being a chai latte. I did like they asked if I wanted any sweetener and given the option I opt out. Croissant was good but once warmed up looses its flakiness a bit--wish they'd asked about that first Big variety of merchandise too. Great idea for building their brand, hope they use a local vendor!

There's street parking, but we parked across the street in the lot by the music shop (it's closed on weekends, which makes it even easier). Zero stress before carbs -- we love to see it. It has that super local, neighborhood energy where everyone clearly knows exactly what they're ordering before they even walk in. Always a good sign. The bread basket? Unreal. The soup was divine -- comforting, flavorful, and exactly what you want on a cozy day. And the bread somehow manages to feel indulgent and wholesome at the same time. Warm, hearty, and clearly made with care. The space itself is just as inviting -- warm, relaxed, and effortlessly charming. And the pastries... they looked dangerous in the best way. I didn't even get one this time, which honestly just means I'm definitely coming back for round two. Already planning my next visit.

My "Soft Scramble" was a pile of astonishment. It was so unrefined that it was an insult the the ingredients. There was nothing soft about the eggs, they were overcooked. The only thing soft on the plate was the watery run-off from the vegetables they heaped into the eggs: Too many chewy mushrooms and HUGE. Too many cherry tomatoes. I had to dig to find the eggs. The leeks were strips of inedible ribbon. The toast? I think it had been toasted yesterday and left on the top of their oven overnight and then reused today. I had to get up from the table and ask for butter to make it edible and still I worried whether I was going to break a crown. The pickled vegetables? Again, HUGE, hard and barely pickled. I will refrain from criticizing the service because they are all unaware of the nightmare in which they are working. Bless their hearts. I was so sad and annoyed. People think they can buy a restaurant with recipes and wholesale accounts and staff and just run it, "business as usual" but they are wrong. I went in and asked if they had sold the restaurant and was told, "yes." I imagine some tech-bro's wife or some hedgefund community doodler wanted a pet project with zero idea about food or food quality or how to treat and retain employees because what happened to MHBB is astonishing. It's rude and insulting to anyone who opened this restaurant and put in their best to keep the name and claim to be catering to the same people. But then again, this is par for the course or, from my vantage point, everything wrong with what's happened in Marin in a nutshell. Faux authenticity. Zero care. This is now all about the money. I will never bother with it again.

I initially tried to place an online order through their website but they weren't taking online orders at the time so I ended up walking in to order. Located in between several industrial companies, it can be easy to miss if you're not looking. Plenty of street parking along the front or just across the street. The shop is segemented into 3 connected sections; the main room where orders are taken, crafted, and served along with bags of coffee beans. The connected room had shirts, sweatshirts, and a fridge with grab n go items. The back room, had a few vintage pinball machines along with some tables and chairs. That'd be such a fun place to hang out at! Ordered a vanilla latte with almond milk and ice maple latte, also with almond milk. Both were wonderfully crafted and provided the morning jolt needed.

The SO is totally in love with the roast turkey and stuffing hash. Given the opportunity, I think he'd eat it every day. (He did have it both days this past weekend.) I was a bit disappointed in the buttermilk-cornmeal griddle cake that came with my Farmers Breakfast. The taste was fine but it was tough. Chewy is just not an adjective I ever want to apply to a pancake. However, they more than redeemed themselves with the BAT Scramble. I'll need to try a few more items on the menu, but that could easily be my "go to" breakfast. Portions were generous. I took my scone home since the scramble and potatoes were more than enough. The SO had great things to say about their chai. The space is bright and airy, and tables are not so close together as to feel like you're part of your neighbor's conversations. If there is any problem with this restaurant it is with the service. As far as we could tell, there was only one server working the entire space - both indoors and out. Although she was very personable and was doing a more than admirable job considering, it was just too much for one person. (Management, take note! She's great, but could do with some assistance.)
