Currently there are 11 different choices for non-dairy in the front case and in the 2nd case are the regular dairy ice creams. Popular current flavors are Bubble Gum, Cotton Candy, White Pistachio, and my personal favorite...Sea Salt Caramel, which is their custard flavor. Bliss can make any ice cream of your choosing into milkshakes made with oat milk which are delicious in any flavor. Don't miss out on their Root Beer Floats, their in-house made gluten-free waffle cones, or their made to order ice cream sandwiches of your choosing made with vegan chocolate chip cookies they bake in-house as well. I'm upgrading my review to 2 stars. Super nice improvement on not having all the high school kids crowd the place up but I notice that they open pretty late in the afternoon now because when I come through the area (usually around 12:30pm) they are still closed which is a bummer to not get ice cream during my lunch break. I get it that we're in the winter cold months now, but I still like to eat ice cream when it's cold, doesn't matter. I have different issues with this place now though. Every time I go to Bliss now and want something they are usually out of it. Here's what I mean ... about 3 weeks ago I wanted a frozen banana which I've gotten before, they were out. I came back the next day because I still had a hankering for the frozen banana, they were still out. I went back the next week, they still haven't made any. I asked the girl working there and she told me they haven't had any frozen bananas in stock for a long while. Then why is it on the menu board?! And I see the label for it in the freezer display too. Geez, take it off the menu if you guys don't want to make any frozen bananas. WTH? Don't even ask for a banana split. Another time I came in wanting to buy a couple of their made-to-order ice cream sandwiches (because they are actually really good) to bring to my nieces. The same girl behind the counter who works during the day said they were out of cookies. I came back yesterday, still no cookies to make the ice cream sandwiches. Like seriously?! Do we need to take these off the menu board too? I came in last week wanting the Dole pineapple soft serve they sell. It was so good over the summer and pineapple sounded so good at that time. What do you mean there isn't any? I even asked about that yesterday as well. When will they have it back in the machine? The girl behind the counter said she didn't know when. Again, take it off the menu guys. Yeah, I'm disappointed they don't keep everything on their menu in stock. Why even bother keeping these items on their menu board? Oh, and yesterday I opted for the berry sorbet. The poor girl couldn't crack the dang thing. It was frozen SOLID. They need to retire that flavor then or just throw it out. You need a jack hammer to break that thing apart. I walked away not getting anything. No frozen bananas, no soft serve of any kind, no cookies to make ice cream sandwiches. And no, I don't want to pay $25 for an ice cream pie. Here's a kicker ... there's a plaque hanging in the front window that suggests they sell hot cocoa or mochas, but it's NOT on their menu board at all. LOL!!! I had to ask how much it was because I was curious. If you come here just expect straight up ice cream that's displayed in their freezer because that's all they sell. And why are there so many non-dairy flavors? A bit weird, but I guess that might be a plus? Maybe the next thing I'll crave will be a milkshake and they won't have the milk to make it with. Don't even bother looking at the menu board. They don't have it. I might just have to go back to La Michoacana on Grant. They have everything on their menu. Always. read more

First time at Bliss and they did not disappoint! Two of us opted for the Minted Cookies and Cream and I went for half Bubble Gum and half Cotton Candy - all outstanding! They have the most attentive and friendly staff on site - Emy! She single handedly handled a long line with patience, smiles and the best customer service! She's also amazing at making suggestions when you're unsure as to what you want. We've been here twice in the last month. It's nice that there are 6 vegan ice cream choices and dole whip soft serve. The vegan ice cream I've tried has been very good.. The interior is nice and the counter servers have been pleasant. My biggest complaint is the size of the scoops, they are really small like half the size of normal servings. And they charge $1 for ice cream cones (regular or sugar). I just don't feel like we are getting our monies worth with the size of the servings. read more

Still visiting NorCal and was told this newly opened ice cream place. As you enter the place it has a very nostalgic feeling with flowers hanging from the ceiling. Then when you exit the door frame is decorated by flowers too . Staff are very accommodating and friendly while patiently awaiting for our indecisive orders. My photos will have to speak for the flavorful soft serve ice cream. I wanted to try the bliss cone which what looks like a fish waffle cone .... Kinda disappointed cause it didn't have flavor and dry .... I was expecting it to be more like a waffle crunchy ice cream cone. Bliss is in the soft opening phase and it looks super promising and a cute addition to the little mall in Novato. They have Japanese soft serve and hand scooped ice creams that you can enjoy from a cup, regular or "Tien" (sugar) come or taiyaki fish cone. They have a bunch of toppings too you can add for some more fun and flavor. We opted for a mix of things. One of us got the hand scooped Valhrona chocolate with Oreos on top in the sugar cone. It was excellent ice cream, dark and rich. Generous scoops filled the sugar cone up. Another opted for the vanilla soft serve in a sugar cone with berries on top and enjoyed the silky Japanese style of soft serve. I got a taiyaki cone with vanilla and matcha soft serve with sprinkles and a dusting of matcha. It was very good, earthy and sweet all at once. I opted to get the cone with a cup. The fish cones can be tricky and it looks like they are still getting the hang of making them. It was delicious but also a bit thin in some of the areas. I ended up scooping ice cream in and eating it and when it fell apart I had a cup to use also. They have about eight flavors of scooped ice cream and four soft serve, but two can be made to blend so six in total. About 15 different toppings to choose from which make it fun. Cute decor in the space, I loved the hanging flowers. They have a few tables inside with seating or you can take your sweets outside where there are plenty of benches. While it was a soft opening they were quite busy, we arrived and were served quickly but a few minutes passed and there was a full house. I can see how this will be a popular spot in the summer and post high school class for kids. I would recommend a few trash bins for customers. When we were done we bussed our table and had to look for a waste bin, it was all the way in the back and was pretty small. The tables also should be wiped down, we had to sit at a dirty table and then when we left someone else had to sit there too. Not a big deal but a pack of wipes at the tables would have allowed me to clean for the next group. Again soft opening stuff not a big deal. I think this will be a great spot for everyone and I can't wait to return to try the Ube soft serve! read more

Great little new spot in Northern Novato. Nice interior and friendly staff! The taiyaki was just okay, probably not too fresh. The mochi was tiny but tasted good. The vanilla/matcha soft cream was good! Came in today.. 99 degr outside, and it was hotter inside this store.. A/C was probably turned off or broken whew! The the scoops got smaller and not why... ‍ ... pretty disappointed. Nice addition to Novato and San Marin. Several different options between soft serve, sorbet, and ice creams. Love that they have taro, ube and taro/ube soft serve. The "bliss" fish cone is great for the kids. Ask for it in the bowl. Good choice of toppings to you have. read more

Finally a great frozen yogurt place in Novato! I went there with my 4 year old and we both really enjoyed it. The fact that this place always has parking and is open until 8:00 pm is a HUGE win for our sleepy neighborhood. Going to buy gift certificates for all of my kid's teachers. I really wanted to like this better as I love Uji time in the city. I asked them for red bean in my cone - they had no idea what I meant. That's fine. This review is only for the gelato... Bliss is sadly a Miss. We tried the rocky road and banana walnut, whereas both had the consistency of thick wet cement. The flavor was just OK, but my hubby and I just could not get over the bizarre consistency of this gelato. I ended up throwing mine away. If you're looking for gelato, you're better off buying some from the market next door. Can't speak to the froyo which may be what they are known for, I can only judge based on what they sold and what I got which was bad bad bad gelato. read more

Love the bliss cone. Love all flavors they have. But it has been three times in the toll that either the machine is closed or something was wrong that they can't offer the bliss cone. The worst part is that no one is answering the number on their website, so you can't call ahead to check. A total disappointment. Three stars mostly for bringing something unique and different to the area. We've been twice now and left a bit underwhelmed both times. The vanilla soft serve had a mild chemical taste to it, and the matcha was not very flavorful. The fish cones look very cool, but didn't taste great to us. Hopefully things improve as they have more time to establish themselves, will try again in a couple of months. read more

I was thrilled when I saw that a new ice cream venue had opened recently in our neck of the woods, so I took my husband there earlier today as part of his birthday surprise. We love your beautifully decorated and very clean venue. Also, love the selection of yummy gelato and soft serve options with such unique flavors such as ube and taro! I had the ube taro combo soft serve with the mochi topping and my husband had the tiramisu and black cherry gelato with the caramel topping and a cherry on top. Everything was delicious and totally hit the spot with this 90 degree weather! Thank you also for hiring very friendly, knowledgeable employees who provided us with best-in-class service!
