Update: 7 years later, this place is still around and still amazing! They do employee served samples. Flavors were great as was the texture. 2 Tutti Cow options (8 calorie an Oz flavors) - Texture on the brownie flavor was pretty close to what regular froyo texture is for a low calorie option. One super rich ice cream (in the froyo machine) - Texture was amazing! They also have regular ice creams. Horchata flavor also hit the spot. Toppings: The cookie dough and brownies are both little chunks so they look like they could be dicey, but they have more richness than your typical froyo shop. Toppings this time felt like standard fare. Can't believe there is a froyo shop that has been around so long! Very busy on a summer Sunday. read more

Who doesn't love dessert?! I've been to Tuttimelon for many years which is inside Vintage Oaks. They have a great selection of self serve fro yo. There is also gelato and sorbet available. On my most recent visit I got the orange sorbet from Dole. I've never had that flavor before and I absolutely loved it. Of course I had to put some chocolate toppings: crushed Oreos, Butterfinger, chocolate morsels with the sprinkles on them. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Tuttimelon has pretty standard frozen yogurt in a self serve style. They have a nice variety of flavors on rotation and it seems that recently they have added in some soft serve ice cream as well. Maybe the purpose is to appeal to a wider variety of clientele, but personally, I wish they stuck to just frozen yogurt and kept a wider selection of flavors. If you want to taste a flavor, ask one of the employees and they will serve you a taste. Amazing customer service! My daughter has celiacs and we struggle with cross contamination a lot. Spencer helped us and went above and beyond to accommodate her and ensure she was safe. A Delicious Discovery at Tuttimelon Tuttimelon is in the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center in Novato. It's in the same aisle as DSW, and in a row that starts with Starbucks at one end and Panera Bread at the other. We were walking around the mall, killing some time, when my sweet tooth kicked in and lured me into the store! As soon as I walked in, their pistachio ice cream flavor caught my eye! It was like it was calling my name. Fortunately, I still had some willpower left, so I ordered a small cup. But let me tell you! After just one spoon, I wished I'd gotten a large one! I shared that with the young man scooping my ice cream, and we both laughed. The store has a nice interior and a few tables outside, but I decided to head towards the DSW shoe store to find my team. Just as I was savoring my treat, my significant other emerged from the shoe store, snagged the rest of my ice cream, and left me empty-handed! I come here all the time because it's close and convenient. I like how their flavors are always rotating and changing based on season. Over the years they've also increased the amount of sauces and toppings available which is great. The employees are chill as well. Every time I go here, I am greeted and acknowledged and always asked if I have a punch card to get discounts for future use. I love that this place offers gelato and soft served. The mochi bites taste a bit different than the ones I had at other places. While eating here, I observed both young employees being attentive to everything, from customer service to cleanliness to restocking. They frequently add a new flavor or two so that you can (a) try something different and (b) stick to your old favorites when you want to. They have a good selection of toppings. During Covid-19, they are limiting the number of customers inside the shop, requiring customers to use napkins to press the yogurt levers, and serving toppings for customers instead of the old self-serve model. I don't know if it's seasonal or I stumbled upon this place at the right time, but I was able to get the Dole Whip that is served at Disneyland from here. While others have been imitations, this place had that recipe completely perfect. I ordered it a couple times before it disappeared from the menu. I am always hoping it will make a return! However, I do recommend other such delights. I love their mango sorbet and their strawberry gelato as occasional treats. You can go all out and throw calorie counting out the window or you can be conscious and find a treat that won't break the bank. I love that their sorbets are vegan, too, which helps when you have friends who follow that lifestyle.
