Best breakfast and lunch in Marin. My family and I love this place. Excellent staff, delicious food and so welcoming.

The food was delightful and the setting, alongside the Richardson Bay, is tranquil. It has the standard American fare you'd expect at an establishment on the water. I enjoyed my pesto chicken club. I enjoyed my juice as well, although it was a bit heavy on the ginger. My main qualm was that after 20 minutes of waiting, I inquired about my to go order which it turns out had been sitting for probably nearly that entire time ready prepared and waiting to be handed to me. During this time the servers and cooks were mostly just taking out the trash and sweeping, I don't think anything else was even being prepared (it was around 2, after the lunch rush). I also asked for no bacon but there was still bacon on my sandwich unfortunately, which I did not realize until it was too late. That being said, everyone there was quite sweet and I'm guessing it was just an off day. I'd probably still return again in the future. read more

A hidden gem! We were starving and just wanted a nice little place to eat outside not realizing that outdoor dining is shut down too... We just happened across this little place, friendly staff a little pricey but worth it in the end... we both ordered burgers, he got the farmers burger and I got the jalapeño burger wow! We strolled along the little water front while waiting for our orders.. the location is perfect other than the parking...We took our meals down the way to a bench for a picnic on the water. A perfect little romantic lunch and wow the wait was worth it! Every bite was so delicious! I woke up thinking about this dang burger!!! (Not kidding lol) I did add avocado to it oh my gosh so good.. it was not overly spicy... just a little kick... they do thick cut fries to go with it also delicious! I come once in a while is probably one my favorite places to get breakfast or brunch in Marin. Customer Service Is always been good , waiters are nice and always trying their best , my food is also always good , haven't tried everything because is a very extensive menu but I will . I could've give a 5 stars But, unfortunately their coffee is not the best and as a coffee lover I gotta have a good coffee with my breakfast . Is too light in color and flavor ! But thanks for my waiter that always tries his best to make it on a scale from 1 to 10 a 6. Also a little more organization with the wait list would be great but other than that is a good place to go and get a nice breakfast! :) read more

Great brunch spot in Sausalito. I was hiking nearby with friends at Mt. Tamalpais, and when we were done we were all starving and wanted some some good brunch food. Found this place on Yelp, so we headed here. First thing to know is that it's not in the downtown Sausalito area, so parking isn't terrible as the restaurant is in a plaza with its own parking lot. My group of 4 arrived on Sunday around 12:30 and was able to get seated immediately. The restaurant doesn't look that big from the outside, but there is a surprising amount of seating in various sections once you go inside. The breakfast menu is huge with a large selection of omelettes, various egg dishes including benedicts and scrambles, and pancakes and french toast. I opted for the spinach, mushroom, and avocado omelette ($12.25), which was fabulous. There was a generous amount of fillings included in the omelette, and I was in love with the avocado used in the omelette as it was perfectly ripe and creamy. The hash browns were nice and crispy as well. All in all, I really enjoyed my breakfast here. There's nothing fancy about the menu, but Bayside Cafe serves delicious standard breakfast dishes. I'd come back again if I was in Sausalito for brunch. read more

I came across this place while heading up north from SF and have since become a weekend regular. This place is great for a solid diner breakfasts. This is nothing fancy, but they do it well and it's not super greasy like you might associate with diner food. They have a lot of options for whatever your breakfast needs are and I am a fan favorite of the breakfast burrito, fully loaded (with chorizo) after a hike! It's so good, not greasy or bursting -- One of my favorite breakfast burritos in the bay. Their hash browns come with peppers and onions mixed in or you can sub any side for a cup of freshly cut fruit. Their smoothies are also good (I ask for OJ base with pineapple/strawberry and it is -- I think they make it from frozen fruit, but it's real fruit). I cannot vouch for everything on their menu, but another friend who is a local swears by this place. Right now they have Operations going within their takeout window. Every menu item is unique in its own way and can be altered with your desires. Never ending coffee! Several of us eat there consistently, no matter how far we have to drive to get to Sausalito. I can't say enough about the Bayside Cafe.. I'm a regular and have never had a bad meal there.. the people are great very friendly always remember my name treat me like family.. the food is excellent everything is prepared to order and they will take special requests. If you like good food, well proportioned servings and great service in a clean and friendly restaurant. Then this place is for you.. my only negative comment is they close on Tuesday's and are only open until 3pm all other days, so I have to hurry and get there in the afternoons for a late lunch.. but I suppose they deserve a day off.. :-) read more

A great spot for brunch if you're in the area! The place had a wonderful view of the marina with cozy vibes indoors. The staff is making considerable efforts to prevent the spread of covid (staff wears masks, cleaning, etc.). Definitely family friendly. In my opinion, the food was good, but not spectacular. I got the enchiladas since it was on the specials menu. Although the red sauce was tasty, I was the biggest fan of the chicken filling nor the rice. For the price, they seemed like they lacked potential flavor. I will say, however, that another in my party got the breakfast burrito and he raves about it! Hearty plates. We liked the meal and service was fine. It appears to be a locals' favorite, out of the tourist area. I loved my salmon sandwich on a croissant and salad. My friend had an omelette and she was not sure if it was real cheese. She thought the preparation was very good. The "home fries" however were just new potatoes. This cafe is located on the bay in the Morro Bay State Park. Plenty of free parking. We had a slight wait to get an inside seat, but that is not bad as this place is VERY popular. I stopped by here for quick bite while driving to North Cal on 101. It's good for a quick stopover as the highway ramp is close by. There is some parking in the back. You can see scenic views of harbor as well. I think their club sandwich with pesto was really good. Potato fries were excellent quality as well. A terrific find today as I wander the north Bay Area. Found on Yelp and the reviews were good. Sat in the back area that was quiet and the best view! I has a wonder sunny view of the floating house on the nearby water. Busy place, but no lines on this Friday after 4th of July. Menu options are numerous. Ordered Mushroom Swiss burger on wheat bun with fries. The burger was put together perfectly. There is ketchup on the table, but no mustard, which I love. The fries are wedge shaped with ridges. Thanks Rafael for introducing me to this lovely cafe. Four stars for now. I will go back and check for consistency and will follow up with an update. Motorcycle pit stop for a lovely breakfast. This cafe is located in a sleepy area part of Sausalito away from the tourist spot. First thing I noticed was the laid back atmosphere. It seemed like the staff knows all their regulars. I thought that was pretty cool :) We sat by the window overlooking the parking lot adjacent to the street. This establishment is next to a bike shop that looks busy. I ordered 2 eggs over medium with fruits on the side and toasted sour dough. The eggs came as ordered and fresh fruits came in a variety of bananas, strawberries, kiwi, water melon and honey dew. I was very happy with my plate. Huge portions and perfect eggs. Now this is what I was excited about. My dear friend's order. He was talking about the pancake for about a week now before this ride. This dish is called the Tutti Fruitti Platter. I was warned that it's a two stack really savory, colorful looking pancake and it comes with two eggs and a chicken apple sausage. The plan was that I would try from his plate and see for myself if I like the said pancake. OMG! The damn pancake was soo good I secretely wished I had my own!! The secret? The fruits that was in the pancake was inside the pancake not just dropped on top. You can still see the blackberries and redberries and the surprise ingredient PECANS. Yummmy... I also tried a piece of the Chicken Apple Sausage and it was as good as well. Rafael also ordered his scrambled eggs medium. I go what?! He said yeah so that it doesn't come out dry. I learned that and from now on I will order my scrambled eggs that way. I tried the scrambled eggs cooked that way and it was moist and fluffy! The establsihment has seen many years. It oozes of competence. It's clean and the staff are very attentive and on time. Ample parking space. Checked out the bathroom and it was clean and smelled nice. Bonus! TIP: You have to ask for the Tutti Frutti it's not on the menu. The dish that we ordered was about $9+ each person plus coffee since i drink them now :) + tip. Next motorcylce trip I will be ordering my own Tutti Frutti Platter. read more

The food was horrible and the prices were sky high! We ordered the crab cakes and they were jus a bunch of breadcrumbs soaked in oil. Horrible! The service was slow as well. Food was abysmal. We decided to stop in for lunch based on the reviews. We had the following orders: enchilada, Philly cheese steak and hot dog with fruit (kids menu). When the order came in, Philly cheese steak sandwich had mushrooms which we told no mushrooms during the order and hot dog was served with fries when we asked for fruit. When the place is busy there tends to be a miscommunication and we let it slide. But when we started eating, the food didn't have any seasoning whatsoever. The shredded chicken in enchilada was just boiled and not even salted - see pictures. The black beans were right out of the can and rice was boxed. I have no words for the hot dog, see the pictures yourself. During the whole time we were there, not once did anyone stop to ask if we wanted anything or check in on us.
