our group was pretty disappointed with what we ordered. The french dip sandwich was cold, seemed like it sat on the counter for 30 min before being served. all of our plates were cold, it wasn't ideal. overall the food tasted good, but clearly wasn't brought out right away. read more

Great location but horrible food and service! We waited a good 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us sitting at our table another 20 for cold super pretzels and then another 20-30 minutes for our food. When our food arrived most of it was cold. The kids had cold chicken fingers and fries and buttered noodles that were simply boiled noodles with some cheese sprinkled in them. My grilled turkey and Swiss was damp bread with luke warm cheese and turkey inside accompanied by the bottom of a bag of chips. Cafeteria quality food for over $100! We will never return and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

The food was very affordable for vail village area. Although it seemed like people were more interested in the bar here, the food was pretty good. Wait staff was friendly and food came out quickly, which seems to be uncommon in the area. read more

Definitely a cool little spot for a beer and/or some laid back chow. Fat Tire on tap- Yay! Wings were very good.

Went here for lunch on a summer day; ordered the chicken strips basket and my boyfriend ordered the BLT. Both were good and hit the spot. Service was perfectly attentive and polite, and the bill was about $20 for the two if us. In vail, can't go wrong with a price like that. read more

We ate here for lunch during our first day of skiing at Vail. It was a great choice. We all really enjoyed it. Very casual bar atmosphere. The service was also very good. We had the pretzel appetizer which was very salty but good. We also each enjoyed our main courses. We had the buffalo chicken sandwich, salad+chili, Caesar salad, and the wrap special (some of kind of tuna wrap). Each was very good. If I'm in the Lionshead Village around lunch time again, I would definitely consider coming back here. I think it was also be good for a casual dinner. Definitely a good burger/sandwich place I think. Check it out! read more

I feel bad giving a 2 Star rating. But 3 means "A-OK" and this wasnt A-OK. The food was not awful, but not good. Boring, small french fries. Small draft list. Server did not bring out cutlery or napkins at any point. Maybe patrons do that at this restaurant? I did not go into this place expecting or wanting an AMAZING experience as it was advertised as a dive. But in my opinion this restaurant would bomb in a city with any competition where being near the gondola wasn't the only criteria necessary for success. read more

This place is awesome!!!! Great food and even better service. I have Celiac's and it was such a surprise to walk into a bar and have the staff be super knowledgeable about gluten free. This place feels like a modern day cheers, the bartender greets everyone by name and if he doesn't know yours then he will in a matter of seconds. This place was great for a gluten free. read more

Bart & Yeti's - Dive Bars Near Me - Vail, Colorado

This was our 1st stop for dinner in the village. It's in the Lionshead section, and not hard to find from the garage. There were lots of families there on a Saturday night. The space is small and wasn't enough at the bar, so we got a table and ordered ribs. The portion is large, but very fatty with a lot of sauce. The rest of the food there looked good though, and I'm somewhat critical about ribs. I'm not sure of the crowd this place is catering to. It's not quite family and not quite adult. Maybe it's just the time we went. read more

We stopped in during a brief rain storm with our pup. Loved the atmosphere. Definitely a place to go to hang out with the locals. Really appreciated their acceptance and advice. Will definitely be back! read more

My husband and I were in Vail for 5 days and ate here 3 times, so hopefully that tells you something. I fully understand why the locals prefer this spot! Two of the 3 days, we ordered the same exact thing: Normy's wings with bleu cheese and ranch, a French Dip to share, and two Colorado Native lagers. The wings were the BEST and finished on the grill for extra crisp. Our bartender, Kevin, was friendly and knowledgable about the area. It also helped win us over that the owners are from Massachusetts and the bar is adorned with Red Sox memorabilia. read more

Cool bar even in the summer offseason. Nice outdoor patio. Definitely a locals hangout.

I sat on the patio and was greeted promptly. The cheeseburger and fries were outstanding and came out fresh, hot and quick. The waitress was very accommodating, as I'd just had a hip surgery a few days prior. Very friendly, casual and inviting atmosphere with reasonable prices. read more

Onion rings yum! For a chill bar food atmosphere in Vail Bart and Yeti's is a must stop after getting off the mountain. Basic bar fare and reasonable price for the area. Plus it's great to sit on their patio and watch people race down the mountain. read more

Dive bar in the greatest sense. Highly recommend the green chile and their buffalo chicken burger. AWESOME. Four stars because it does not have much of a draft beer selection. But the food made up for it. read more

Awesome bar in vail we come up here every year and grab some beers I love the qwerkyness of the bar and the staff is really friendly

This review is solely for the normy wings. Spent a last minute weekend away in Vail and was looking for a casual place for some quick food. Some regulars recommended the normy wings. I gave them a shot. They were a little spicier than I am used to, but the flavor was on point. I can't even describe it. I will sacrifice my low spice tolerance for that delicious flavor. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely get wings there. And I recommend you do too! read more

Fun atmosphere. Service was good. Unfortunately the salads are really bad. Terrible dressing, rotten celery and old tomatoes. Croutons from the bag but stale. I didn't touch my salad and was not asked if everything was ok. Of course they threw it out but also charged me the $13. Husband had the blt. Bread was cold, bacon cold and almost like skin. Not cooked enough. The chicken wings are very good! read more

I have been to every bar in Vail. And this is my Favorite. You will always get into some deep mysterious conversation about the history of Bart and Yeti's. With the Bartender or the guys sitting at the bar. I use to go in here after work every night the Season that I lived in Vail....and I miss it. I cant wait to go back and say hello to all my old friends!!!!........(when it snows). read more

Casual environment- great indoor and outdoor seating. Food was good and priced appropriately.

DISAPPOINTED- Wow this place has gone way down hill! I remember going to Bart & Yeti's for the most amazing nachos... the best in town! They were literally known for their nachos, layered, piled high, every bite as good as the first... now, cheap chips scattered across a big plate with as little cheese, onions & tomatoes sprinkled across... I tell ya, I boasted about that place & I was so embarrassed when I took friends from out of town! Fries cheap, cold, hard as rock, completely inedible. Green chili, pork swimming in broth with a few diced jalapeños & canned tomatoes, pulled pork- the cheapest ground beef you can buy with some seasoning sprinkled in like taco meat. Hamburgers were the cheapest 1/4 inch pattie piled with lettuce & tomato to make it look big... I don't know what happened to you guys but you lost track of why people came to eat at your place... you've gone majorly down hill & I feel bad for you for whatever reason you decided to give up quality & being a staple within the community to serving cheap, low grade slop at premium prices... If you guys are seriously that lost, contact me & I'll help you get back on track! read more

Very cool place! Makes me think of what a mountain tavern used to be in the 70's. And so friendly to dogs! If you have a pooch that likes to say hi, bring him/her and have a brew! Our server Stephen helped us get home to Cascade, dodging the rain! He and his dog chance have been in Vail for 7 years. He's super chill, ask him about Chance and he'll show you some super cute photos! read more

I think the food was average. The nachos had no meat and once you got pat the first layer of cheese contained no substance. Service was good, and my burger was decent, but nothing really lived up to the reputation in my mind. read more

This place is ok. The food was as expected but the waitress seemed annoyed to serve us and the restaurant makes a big deal out of splitting checks. read more

We've been coming here for years every time we're in Vail. Love this place! The patio is a great spot for lunch, and the food is good, though I highly recommend the portebello mushroom sandwich as well as the green chili. read more

Bart & Yeti's is iconic - a part of old Vail. I've been going to this place for decades. So I'm biased but it still has one of the best patios for live accoustic music in both summer and winter. My favorite place in Lionshead to have a drink and listen to music (outside). As for the food? It's not fine dining but its good enough and the prices are reasonable by Vail standards. And I find the service to always be professional and friendly. read more

Pretty sad, will not be back. Chicken had a very strange consistency and had been clearly frozen. Highly intoxicated, loud people all over the place in the middle of the day. Service was okay: not great, not bad. Will definitely be looking elsewhere next time we are in Vail. read more

My favorite place to eat we've found in vail. Very charming and you can tell they've been here since the beginning. The service was so friendly and every staff was warm and inviting. The food was fantastic and enjoyed meeting the resident dogs that roam through greeting you as you dine and drink. Love it!! read more

Stopped here for the Saturday night live music and sat out on the patio. They had a nice draft list, so we just ordered drinks and an appetizer of Chips and Salsa. Not much to go off of since we didn't order much, but our experience was nice. Good atmosphere with a classic "bar" feel. read more

This is the best place in Vail! The atmosphere is so warm and casual. The staff and owners are pleasant and efficient. The food is great! read more

Tucked in Arrabelle in Lionshead is this little bar and eats joint. We had good fish and chips and sandwiches, and of course a few beers. Prices are Vail-Reasonable, and the patio makes for a nice atmosphere and good people watching spot, especially après-ski. Service is fine, better if you're a local/regular. read more

This place is great if you are looking for somewhere to avoid tourists and hang out after a day on the hill. Their buffalo chicken sandwhich is solid. The best part for me was that my dog could sit at the bar next to me. read more

We grabbed a quick bite and a beer one day. The BF and I split a BLT with some fries. It was good and just hit the spot as well as the beer. It is located in Lionshead and not far from the gondola. A great place to sit outside in the summer and just relax....which is what we did after hiking! A great story behind the name of the bar...but you will have to go in order to find out!! read more

Dive bar with cool rustic interior, friendly service with the bartender who seemed like a control freak but he was friendly too. Food was typical pub fare but was good. Atmosphere, people., food and total chill ambience got the 4 stars not the food. Definitely better than the fake friendliness in the other overpriced places in vail. Wish we had apres skied here as the local feel is better than those other slope side places. read more

Pretty good sandwiches and salads, although their menu was a bit limited on the day we visited... nice location in the heart of Lions Head... good place for drinks in the sun on their patio... read more

If everything costs about 30% less, this place would be better. The ambience is good. Good (but loud) live music. But considering the type and quality of food you get, it's overpriced, even for Vail. Took a very long time to get beers but after that it got better. They do weird things like charge an 18% tip if you want want to split a bill. Just not very customer friendly overall. They act as if they don't need to be. Which maybe they don't. I'm just not impressed. read more

Beyond overrated. Maybe after a day of skiing anything tastes good but this place is not 4 Stars and barely 3 stars. The food is ok but not like what the reviews say and I would not come here again and was really disappointed. Do not come here. read more

Great little spot my cousin suggested after we got off the slops. You got to get the wings here they are kick ass and unlike I have had them before. Love the ski towns you can always find a cool little spot...though you pay for it. read more

Great food and awesome atmosphere! It is located in Lionshead Village, a hop and a skip from the Eagle Bahn Gondola. Easy to get to and the wings are TO DIE FOR!! Great for dining after a day of snowboarding/skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer! read more

We stopped in here for dinner and although the service was really good, the waitress was very sweet, the food was just okay. My husband had the French Dip sandwich and I had a chili cheese dog, both with lays chips. Nothing really special about the food and although they have a full bar, they didn't have anything exciting as far as drink specials. If you like dark, chill, dive bars, this is your spot! read more
