Always heard about their tasty chicken wings and wanted to give it a try passing by. Sat at the bar with Dan as the bartender and service was great! Met the owner Kyle and you can see how passionate he is about The Crazy Chicken and Minturn, love that type of ownership! Cool vibe with TVs and music playing. Large garage door that opens for fresh air and sunshine! We ordered the double smash burger and a fried chicken sandwich. Both were juicy and full of flavor. Added a side of 3 Colorado chicken wings for an extra $2 and it was the move to make! The menu is diverse with appetizers, wings, tenders, fresh salads, sides, and house made sauces. Not far from our airbnb so we decided to get takeout from this chicken place. We did a couple of their bbq wings (they all come dry rubbed) and 10 pc hot wings. Overall, got 35 wings for about $51. There is a $1.50 upcharge for splitting sauces into 5. The wings were a bit dry and had a rubbery taste in the skin. It was more apparent with the dry rubbed wings. Comes with carrots and celery. $18 for a large GOAT salad and was delicious but a bit over priced. read more

This place was Backcountry Wings. Now it's The Crazy Chicken. The food was amazing. We got 15 wings, cheese curds and truffle parm brussel sprouts. The wings flavors we got were garlic buffalo, Cajun and basian. Basian is buttery Asian. A little sweet but very good. The Cajun dry rub and garlic buffalo were great. The cheese curds were just what you would expect if you've had good curds. The truffle parm brussel sprouts were crispy and tasty. They have a great selection of beers and a ton of tvs. There was college football and skiing on. Our waitress at the bar was very helpful and had good recommendations. She was attentive and kept our drinks coming. In terms of the ambiance, it feels like a ski town sports bar. That's probably the best way to describe it. Casual dress, jerseys, maybe even ski boots, but the floor would be crazy slippery if you did that, so I wouldn't recommend it. They might not allow it even. My husband and I stopped in to have lunch today after a lovely hike. We really like this small town and especially liked this bar and Grill with its country vibe. The bartender/waitress was very nice and helpful. It has a beautiful view, looking out to the mountain from their open window that we sat next to at a table. We both had a weekly lunch special, which was five wings and a side. The wings and the salad we chose were good as well as the service. We had a great dinner! I'm vegetarian and found a lot on the menu. The GOAT salad with vegan chicken is awesome. Kids loved the chicken wings, cauliflower, and baked potatoes. If you love wings don't bother with this place. It would be great if the wings were at least mediocre. They lack ALL flavor. Franks red hot alone poured over wings does not make Buffalo wings. Jalapeño should taste like jalapeño. Quit being so cheap on the sauces. On the up side, the fried pickles are awesome, not soggy as can be found at many establishments. read more

The town itself is absolutely adorable. This is a great place to come to watch sports, hang out, and have a beer. For appetizers, we got chips & queso and cheese curds. Our experience was terrible - the food was cold and the chicken wings were undercooked and cold and the chicken tenders were dried out and all breading ; the side Mac n cheese was cold as well ; the service was not good either she never refilled my drink nor the person I was with we would have sent food back but it took forever to get food in the first place I would not recommend this place nor will we go back we had heard such good things about the wings plus the women's bathroom was disturbing toilets so unclean overall not a good experience at all we all left very hungry and dissatisfied read more

if I could give zero stars...I would. that was the worst dining experience of my life. I left the restaurant with tears in my eyes and shaking from the way my server spoke to me. I have a gluten allergy and have had one for years and have never been treated so horribly for just having an allergy. The manager came over and was just as condescending and insulting.
