New patio, who dis? Bob's Place has a new patio, but at what cost? Normally the food is great and the service is quick, but this was probably my worst visit to Bob's. Ordered a burger which I ordered medium rare, and had to bring it back since it was cooked very well done. When it came back it was also well done, but I bit the bullet because I was hungry. The margarita was overpriced and tasted more like syrup than a margarita. Thought it was on happy hour, but nope. The service was slow, maybe it was because we were on the patio. Though she was nice ,but she never asked about the burger after it came back out, so I couldn't even tell her it still wasn't cooked right. Easy online ordering when I wanted some bar food to go! The location was a little difficult to find, it's an old hotel or office building converted into different businesses. Happy hour is unbeatable in the area. Mountain Pizza actually has a good one too in Beaver Creek but this has more options. We for wings, sliders, nachos, pickles, and artichokes. Anywhere else that would have been $100. These were mostly $6 per. It's also $5 wells and discounts on beer and wine. Food is expensive in this area so it's an oasis. Don't hesitate. Food here is quick and reasonably priced. We were able to grab a filling breakfast before catching first chair. I believe prices listed on the menu were inaccurate, but there were stickers on the menu saying prices subject to change and it was just a $1 ish difference - plus compared to other places it is the most fair pricing. We want back twice, lots of different menu options to try and all of them filling. The restaurant is located inside a multi use building, so depending on what side of the street you enter from you might have to walk through the building to get to the location. This place was located by my hotel. I got in late so there weren't a lot of options to choose from. The hostess said they were known for their tamales which they get from Denver. As a tamale lover, I went with her recommendation. When the tamales arrived they were smothered in sauce so I couldn't even see them. When I searched I found them to be very small. I cut in to one and it was tough and super dry. When I tasted it the filling felt like jerky. It was so dry, tough and the masa didn't taste seasoned. It felt like they weren't fully heated. The hostess also suggested the Boneless Buffalo Wings for Happy Hour. I got the Golden Buffalo with a side of ranch. The breading was very thick, but they were a decent substitution for the tamales. When I arrived at the restaurant they were preparing for a party. I decided to take my meal back to my hotel. read more

The restaurant, I would say is broken up two areas, main dining then a sports bar area. Both were nice and clean. Food- How good is Bob's Place? We had a breakfast, lunch, and dinner there during our stay in Avon CO 09-21-26. Their menu list offers a very good selection- see their menu on their webpage. Also their prices fall under the $$ filter but I will tell you compared to most other restaurants in the area "Bob's Place" hit the low end of $$. Their prices fall, I believe close to 50% less than other $$ restaurants. "Bob's Place" food quality, selection and pricing is a triple WIN! (Note-meals are big enough to split for two seniors) Service- great every time and each visit we had a different service staff member. Ambiance- You seat yourself. There's mostly booths and that's what we prefer. Booths hold 4 or 6 people. We had seated during our three visits- 2 large booths and 1 small booth. The noise level is comfortable unless there's that person who speaks like talking through a megaphone and well that can happen. TVs are tuned in to sports but the volume is off and closed-captioned is turned on. I believe you will be happy with your experience. read more

Wow, for a 4 star rating on Yelp we were very disappointed. The servers and bartenders were awesome but the owners or management expected them to take care of our large party along with other tables and responsibilities inside in the bar at the same time. We ended up helping them to get through the experience. Food was 50/50 out of 14 meals and sharing apps. Help your people be successful and staff the restaurant better....or the manager should at least help. Never saw one the entire night and our bill was almost 1k. Not good Bob. read more

Visited this spot again a year later! They closed off half the restaurant due to renovations, so it was a bit crowded. Every table was pretty much full, and people were all around, whether they were sitting or standing. However, despite how packed it was, it was not horrible, and we got seated immediately as many groups came and went. Service was superb!! Doesn't matter the crowd, the service will always be top notch. They are very attentive and friendly. I got the Santa Fe sandwich, and I loved it - had a great balance of flavors. The sourdough was good, and the avocado was fresh and soft. I liked the enchilada plate my sister got, but she said it tasted like the frozen enchiladas they sell in store. The carne asada was okay, meat was a bit tough. Now, the dizzy chicken... my brother couldn't get it last year, so he had the chance to try it this time around on his birthday. It looked very promising just by initial looks, but it was so mediocre. The problem was the chicken was way too dry. I mean so dry it was hard to swallow. The best way to describe the feel is it's like after eating a whole scoop of peanut butter. Gotta wash it down with water. Overall though, we didn't run into any major issues with our food, so it was a very positive experience. Solid 2- star, and they earned it. I'll keep it short and sweet. - Service was bad. Getting waited on was pretty bad. We had to go find the menus. Getting checked on by our waiter, refills and how our food came out was rare. We were on the patio with our dog and the patio was nearly empty. The owner(?) came out and first bumped with some tables he knew but didn't check to see if we were being helped (after sitting for a while waiting for someone to take our order). A lot of employees saw us sitting but didn't stop to check if we'd been helped. We later noticed other people at tables were also waiting and searching for the same waiter. - The food was missing ingredients. A Reuben sandwich comes with Thousand Island dressing. It even says so on the menu. Mine didn't and we had to order a side of it and wait a long time to get it. The corned beef was dry. It was as tough as beef jerky. It destroyed the bread. We fed it to our dog who was with us, and because my jaw got tired of chewing. Nachos come with pico de gallo per the menu, ours didn't and we had to order it. When we asked for pico they brought us a bowl of jalapeños. We asked if they could bring us salsa and we got a tin of Chalula sauce. They clearly didn't know what pico was. Thank goodness for Bob's Place. I came here after working a late night event and wasn't sure if anywhere would be open that offered food. It was POPPIN' and I actually have a friend who used to work here! Small world. Order food and drink at the bar, then find a seat somewhere amongst the billiard tables and drunk skiers. Lots of interesting channels on the TV screens. I had the JCB, basically jalapeño and cream cheese on a regular burger. Patty was definitely overcooked. Tots on the side were alright. Nachos Grande I got to share with my partner weren't that great. Honestly the food overall was kind of terrible, but I loved the service and vibes. Had a solid late lunch/early dinner here today. This place had lots of seating, two pool tables, a huge menu, and a bar. Stacked. They also have about 10 TVs on each wall, so it's definitely the place to go when there's a game going on. Nine-count boneless wings: these were really good! They have so many flavors to choose from, but my brother and I opted for classic buffalo. The wings were average size and were actually crispy, a challenging thing to do with boneless wings. South of the Border Burger: this was gas. Came with guac, cut up jalapeños, and Oaxaca cheese. There was a little mishap where I was given the wrong burger, but the staff quickly fixed it and got me the right one. The burger was smaller than I was expecting, but very filling. The jalapeños packed a punch and the Oaxaca cheese was creamy. The side of fries was crispier than usual, giving them a noticeable crunch. We were in Avon for skiing in the days before Christmas. We were at a nearby hotel and, surprisingly, it seemed restaurants were scarce. So we came to Bob's, the first place we saw. We came a couple of times during our trip. The Bob's dining room was happening, lots of families and hardly an open table in the place. The menu is varied with American food choices, Mexican, and a pub like selection of beers and drinks. The service was pro,pt, friendly, and responsive. Our food and drinks came out pretty quick. Our visit in the bar was a bit more chaotic. We liked the big bar height tables, sitting with others. The service was less reliable but it was still good food and a fun place to visit. The food offered at Bob's bar food and is not spectacular, but after a day of skiing, it was filling and tasted good We will return to Bob's again one day. read more
