New patio, who dis? Bob's Place has a new patio, but at what cost? Normally the food is great and the service is quick, but this was probably my worst visit to Bob's. Ordered a burger which I ordered medium rare, and had to bring it back since it was cooked very well done. When it came back it was also well done, but I bit the bullet because I was hungry. The margarita was overpriced and tasted more like syrup than a margarita. Thought it was on happy hour, but nope. The service was slow, maybe it was because we were on the patio. Though she was nice ,but she never asked about the burger after it came back out, so I couldn't even tell her it still wasn't cooked right. Wow, for a 4 star rating on Yelp we were very disappointed. The servers and bartenders were awesome but the owners or management expected them to take care of our large party along with other tables and responsibilities inside in the bar at the same time. We ended up helping them to get through the experience. Food was 50/50 out of 14 meals and sharing apps. Help your people be successful and staff the restaurant better....or the manager should at least help. Never saw one the entire night and our bill was almost 1k. Not good Bob. read more

Food here is quick and reasonably priced. We were able to grab a filling breakfast before catching first chair. I believe prices listed on the menu were inaccurate, but there were stickers on the menu saying prices subject to change and it was just a $1 ish difference - plus compared to other places it is the most fair pricing. We want back twice, lots of different menu options to try and all of them filling. The restaurant is located inside a multi use building, so depending on what side of the street you enter from you might have to walk through the building to get to the location. This place was located by my hotel. I got in late so there weren't a lot of options to choose from. The hostess said they were known for their tamales which they get from Denver. As a tamale lover, I went with her recommendation. When the tamales arrived they were smothered in sauce so I couldn't even see them. When I searched I found them to be very small. I cut in to one and it was tough and super dry. When I tasted it the filling felt like jerky. It was so dry, tough and the masa didn't taste seasoned. It felt like they weren't fully heated. The hostess also suggested the Boneless Buffalo Wings for Happy Hour. I got the Golden Buffalo with a side of ranch. The breading was very thick, but they were a decent substitution for the tamales. Every table was pretty much full, and people were all around, whether they were sitting or standing. Doesn't matter the crowd, the service will always be top notch. They are very attentive and friendly. I got the Santa Fe sandwich, and I loved it - had a great balance of flavors. The sourdough was good, and the avocado was fresh and soft. I liked the enchilada plate my sister got, but she said it tasted like the frozen enchiladas they sell in store. The carne asada was okay, meat was a bit tough. Now, the dizzy chicken... my brother couldn't get it last year, so he had the chance to try it this time around on his birthday. It looked very promising just by initial looks, but it was so mediocre. The problem was the chicken was way too dry. I mean so dry it was hard to swallow. The best way to describe the feel is it's like after eating a whole scoop of peanut butter. Gotta wash it down with water. Overall though, we didn't run into any major issues with our food, so it was a very positive experience. Getting checked on by our waiter, refills and how our food came out was rare. We were on the patio with our dog and the patio was nearly empty. The owner(?) came out and first bumped with some tables he knew but didn't check to see if we were being helped (after sitting for a while waiting for someone to take our order). A lot of employees saw us sitting but didn't stop to check if we'd been helped. We later noticed other people at tables were also waiting and searching for the same waiter. - The food was missing ingredients. A Reuben sandwich comes with Thousand Island dressing. It even says so on the menu. Mine didn't and we had to order a side of it and wait a long time to get it. The corned beef was dry. It was as tough as beef jerky. It destroyed the bread. We fed it to our dog who was with us, and because my jaw got tired of chewing. Nachos come with pico de gallo per the menu, ours didn't and we had to order it. When we asked for pico they brought us a bowl of jalapeños. We asked if they could bring us salsa and we got a tin of Chalula sauce. They clearly didn't know what pico was. It was POPPIN' and I actually have a friend who used to work here! Small world. Order food and drink at the bar, then find a seat somewhere amongst the billiard tables and drunk skiers. Lots of interesting channels on the TV screens. I had the JCB, basically jalapeño and cream cheese on a regular burger. Patty was definitely overcooked. Tots on the side were alright. Nachos Grande I got to share with my partner weren't that great. Honestly the food overall was kind of terrible, but I loved the service and vibes. Had a solid late lunch/early dinner here today. This place had lots of seating, two pool tables, a huge menu, and a bar. Stacked. They also have about 10 TVs on each wall, so it's definitely the place to go when there's a game going on. Nine-count boneless wings: these were really good! They have so many flavors to choose from, but my brother and I opted for classic buffalo. The wings were average size and were actually crispy, a challenging thing to do with boneless wings. South of the Border Burger: this was gas. Came with guac, cut up jalapeños, and Oaxaca cheese. There was a little mishap where I was given the wrong burger, but the staff quickly fixed it and got me the right one. The burger was smaller than I was expecting, but very filling. The jalapeños packed a punch and the Oaxaca cheese was creamy. The side of fries was crispier than usual, giving them a noticeable crunch. Our visit in the bar was a bit more chaotic. We liked the big bar height tables, sitting with others. The service was less reliable but it was still good food and a fun place to visit. We went to Bob's place after it was recommended by a relative who had just been to Avon. We had a group of 6 which included 2 kids - ages 6 and 8. We seated ourselves in the restaurant area but I had to go look around. The bar area is very large and open with lots of TV's and games. Our server, Allie, was friendly and efficient. We sat down and then the restaurant area closed at 2pm so we had it to ourselves. People were still being served in the bar and on the patio. The food was good with large portions and the menu had a great variety. The walls are covered with photographs and posters of famous Bob's and it was fun to look at those. We enjoyed our meal and decided to go back the next day. The second time we sat on the patio and again had good service and good food. The patio experience was nicer than the inside dining room area so if the weather is nice, I'd recommend that. read more
