We just wanted something easy and chill for our first night in town. We weren't super hungry so ended up close to our hotel at Bart & Yeti's! Really loved our experience - lots of the cutest doggos on the patio and great food: *Green Chili (Pork green chili served with flour tortillas) - apparently green chili is all the rage in CO!! I thought it was a NM thing but I'm not complaining! Bart & Yeti's was flavorful, thick yet lighter than a traditional chili! *Chicken Wings - we got it NORMY style. Apparently that is the WAY. It's almost like barbecue AND spicy but ALSO grilled (you can see distinct grill marks). It was fire. *1/2 Rack Ribs + Chicken Breast plate (came with coleslaw and fries) - I let our server know we were splitting it and it was so nice that they brought it out pre-split for us! This was one of our favorite places to go during our stay at Vail. If you're looking for a fun bar with good food, great drinks and amazing company, you'll love it here as well. The first time we came, we met so many friendly people and locals including the owners that made us feel right at home. We could've talked to them all day! This bar has such a fun and great atmosphere and very cool decorations. We ended up coming back 2 days later for food before making our journey back to the airport. We saw some of the same people here and had just as good of a time as our first visit. We also split a burger with a salad and the Irish nachos that actually blew us away. We came her after a day of skiing. The place is a cute little dive bar. They were busy around 4 when the lifts closed and we had to wait outside for a little to get a table inside. The lady helping us was nice though and brought us inside once here was a seat available. The food was very average. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and it was a little watery. Wasn't the best I've ever had but it was edible. It was a little pricy in my opinion. But a nice place to hang out after a day on the slopes. read more

The vibe on the inside was great- classic mountain town feeling. We sat at one side of the restaurant but the other side had lots of tables with families and younger kids- so kid friendly! We were just visiting Vail, and checking out all the areas - Golden Peak, Vail Village, and Lionshead. We were getting thirsty for a beer. We went to a small shop next door, but were told we couldn't have open containers in the plaza area. We were directed to their neighbor that turned out to be Bart and Yeti's that had a patio in addition to ample indoor seating. We got the beer we wanted, and I had some fries. My wife got a soft pretzel. We loved the decor of the place. The inside is like a log cabin, and it reminded us of the places we used to frequent in the 70's, except for the sports memorabilia. They celebrate all sports, but seem to lean a bit toward the Boston Red Sox. The beer was good, cold, and fairly priced. I liked my fries. They were seasoned fries, and pretty good. The wife's pretzel was just okay. She felt that it was a frozen pretzel that they just thawed, which makes sense, but it is something people who like pretzels should know. The place was fairly clean, (except for the birds landing on the tables outside), the staff was outstanding, and the place seemed to be a favorite of locals. I would come back to this place. Ordered a cheeseburger, recently. A $19 burger with tomato, lettuce, pickles on the side. From years past the burgers were nice & thick. Juicy and rather large. Not so much anymore. But, I'm finding a lot of restaurants in Vail have declined in service, food quality but still way overpriced. My burger this year came with a pickle. One pickle. One single hamburger chip pickle, not a spear. But one thing that wasn't missing was the math. They did the math on the receipt to show me what the various T.I.P. amounts would be. Anymore coming to Vail, I will cook more of my own food and keep my wallet closed. Dining in Colorado has lost its appetite. We came in for lunch and had a great time! I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and added Gorgonzola. It was delicious. My husband had the Irish fries which he said were also good. Biggest complaint about Colorado as a whole is they haven't gotten on the liquid cheese game yet. Every restaurant we went to that had cheese anything (fries/nachos/etc) had melted shredded cheddar instead of what would be described anywhere else as nacho cheese. It didn't ruin the party though and like I said my husband liked his lunch so not a big deal. It's definitely a bar atmosphere and the service was great. Had lunch today at this bar and grill and I have to say the food and service was excellent! Best New England clam chowder I have had since City Island in the 70's. Fish and chips crisp, not soggy. With as many idiotic reviews I have read during my trip, I had to offer some sound advice, but if Colorado-ins critique restaurants like they drive and act on the roadways, then I can understand why. read more

Oh my gosh. We sure do miss this little whole in the wall dive bar. This was our favorite place we found on our trip. We went in daily for a drink. The bartender (Jules was her name I believe) was so sweet and as soon as we walked in she would remember our order and we were only in town for a week. Such a nice dive bar with lovely locals. The cheeseburger and onion rings here was honestly one of the best meals we ate at in town. They also make homemade soups. I did not get a chance to try any soup but it smelled delicious. Soooo....based on the rating on here, I was nervous. It wasn't as bad as I expected but nothing I'd want to repeat, unless there were no other options. My son wanted to eat here and not have to wait anywhere else. Since I hadn't done a ton of research before and most Restaurants in Lionshead got mediocre reviews, I agreed. We started with the Newmies (?) wings. They had good flavor but the chicken was weird. I wasn't sure if it was just me but my husband says the chicken tastes fluffy. It did - it was weird. I wonder if maybe it had been injected with brine or fillers, as some chicken is. They were also pretty small. Husband had the Gorgonzola chicken sandwich with Sweet potato fries. The fried were good, I sampled just so I could talk about them in the review I had the 1/2 rack of ribs special and sub'd salad for the fries. The ribs were not as disappointing as I expected and were tender and had good flavor. The salad was ok but better than I expected (expected iceberg). It had romaine lettuce, carrots, tomato and croutons. My son had a cheeseburger with onion rings. There were a lot of onion rings. He said they were good. He liked the burger but were talking a 13 year old here. He likes them greasier and if he likes it, I usually don't. If I think it's really good, he doesn't. Anyway, it was an ok size and is a prefrozen patty. I asked this because I wanted to know if they were made with fresh meat. Which would've swayed me to order one. This is a great place to come and visit outside with a few friends, have some drinks and food and just chill. Located right in Vail it is close to any and all shops you can think of as well as the Gondola that will take you to the top of the mountain! I got a few local beers - I would always suggest try the local IPAs that are on draft - and they were amazing! My friends got food and they said it was great and I got an order of sweet potato fries and they were PHENOMENAL! The service staff was quick to seat us as we did not have a reservation and our server was attentive to our needs. There was also live music right behind our table and although our table only sat 4, we were on the patio and our other friends who joined us were able to sit on the bricks enclosing the patio.
