A local recommended Mountain Standard, so we tried to make a reservation on OpenTable and quickly learned they were booked solid until tomorrow (a great data point, btw). But, being the swarthy pirates that we are, we showed up anyway; and thank sweet baby Jesus, we found two seats at the bar. Our barkeep, Gummow, a fellow swarthy pirate, was excellent in every possible way. His bar back, Rowan, could not have been a better support man. Together, they delivered the kind of service that makes you remember why hospitality is an art form. And the food? Absolutely to die for. My girlfriend had the oxtail, and I had the mock paella. Both were incredible. The service, the food, the environment; every facet was dialed in. We will be going back tomorrow for lunch, possibly dinner, and possibly to inquire about monthly rent.
