Fun twist on breakfast with a standout chicken and waffles Benedict I stopped at Westside Cafe on a weekend trip to Vail for our final meal, and it was great. It was fairly busy for a Sunday in the off season. There was a 15-minute wait for a table for three inside, so we opted to sit outside and were seated right away. The patio is cute, with flowers and perfect for a good weather day. We shared an order of the classic French toast for the table, and it was solid, exactly what you'd expect. I was torn between a few items on the menu, and our waiter recommended the eggs Benedict. They were able to split my order in half, so I got to try two. The chicken and waffles Benedict was the standout for me. It's served over a sweet potato waffle with a chicken tender on top and an egg on top of that, and it was so good. The other was the bison tenderloin Benedict, which was solid but not as good as the chicken and waffles in my opinion. I subbed the hash browns for a side of fruit. Overall, a great meal, and if I'm ever back I'll have to order the chicken and waffles Benedict again. It's a fun and tasty twist on a classic breakfast staple - that waffle was top notch. read more

Food: strawberry pancakes and locals breakfast with egg white scramble and wheat toast. I thought the pancakes were just ok (a bit dry) but the locals breakfast was good. Eggs were cooked well and the hash brown seasoned well and crispy. I wish they would give you two pieces of toast though. Ambiance: we sat on the covered front porch which is pretty with lots of flowers. Dog friendly!! I would eat there again for breakfast if ever in town again. read more

Hollandaise sauce is very nice blended & generous portion. My partner ordered pork egg Benedict & it is more heavier. We both like our hash brown. Coffee is big portion with half & half per request. Service is attentive & my glass of water is instantly full :) Love flowers ambience with mountain view. They gave us 20% of Vets discount which we founded very generous. We came here for a quick brunch before a hike, but it ended up taking quite a bit longer than expected. We arrived around 9 a.m. and were seated right away, our order was taken quickly, and the food came out hot and fresh. I personally loved the biscuits and gravy, which was flavorful and easily the highlight of my meal. By the time we finished, though, the restaurant had gotten much busier and seemed noticeably understaffed. We asked for the check but couldn't find our server, and when we tried getting the attention of another server, we were ignored. We ended up sitting for about 20 minutes just waiting to pay, which was frustrating, especially since we were trying to get to our hike. Overall, the food was really good and the restaurant had a nice brunch atmosphere, but the service could definitely be improved during busy hours. read more

It it just okay Food was fine if you need something quick and easy it good for you. My son and me had the sandwiches they fine but hard to bite into. My wife had the tuna bowl nothing bad about it but she's had better. We all had the shrimp and they were great prefect flavor. The waiter wasn't rude but forgot about drinks. Probably just a mixup. Love the ability to make a reservation right here on the Yelp app! There as even a reminder feature via notifications (if you opt to enable them). The menu is large and if you go at brunch there's a complete breakfast and lunch menu to choose from. We arrived an hour or so before closing and both chose mostly items off the breakfast menu (French onion soup, breakfast tacos, biscuits & gravy, and a vanilla latte). The space was large and clean which we appreciated. The food was very disappointing and lacking in flavor- even the latte tasted off. Super big bummer as my partner had fond memories of dining here in years past. We'll be sure to find another spot to dine next time we are in the area. read more

Westside Cafe & Market is attached to the Highline Doubletree in Vail. We got to the restaurant about a half hour before closing and they were happy to serve us. Place has a homey feel. Great food!! Not the blow-my-mind out of the world great, but delicious, filling and lives-up-to-its expectations kind of food. I was looking for a restaurant where we could walk in and get seated. Westside cafe uses Yelp for their wait-list and I think we got lucky showing up when we did (8:40 am on a Sat), as there was no wait. Within about 20 mins though, there was a wait-list. The cafe has a cafe in the mountains feel - wooden architecture with pictures of mountains and skiers. They have the same metal mountain cut outs that I have at home! The servers are nice and there is decent parking right outside the cafe. For the cold loving people, you have seating outside too. We ordered the Chilaquiles, dirty Biscuits and gravy, and avocado toast, with a couple of cups of Hot Chocolate and Freshly squeezed orange juice. Of the three, the Chilaquiles were the best - spicy, crunchy, great balance of eggs and cream with the spicy sauce, and avocado slices to top the whole thing off. The biscuits and gravy, and the avocado toast were also very good, but not as good as the Chilaquiles. The hot chocolate was excellent as was the orange juice (very fresh, you could taste the pulp). Pricing wise, reasonable for Vail. Gorgeous views outside! Highly recommend! read more

Our first morning in Vail, we walked over to the Westside Cafe and were pleasantly surprised at how great this place was. First thing, hot coffee, refilled several times - not many places get that right, just sayin'. From the everything bagel & lox to the eggs benedict, avocado toast and chicken and waffles, each dish was filling with great flavor. These guys know how to make breakfast. We wound up visiting a few times during the trip, that's how good it was. If you're in Vail and looking for a good breakfast, this is definitely the place to go. read more

When I was a kid, my folks and I visited a dude ranch for lunch and a show. The thing I remember most were these half-dollar size rock hard biscuits. The biscuit today was bigger, but nearly as hard. Since I ordered the Biscuit & Gravy (despite the menu title, it's a singular biscuit), it was particularly disappointing. The accompanying eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and coffee were great, as usual. So why the four stars? We come to Vail most years, and everything else we've ever had has been great. My wife and I both tend to get the breakfast burrito. It's huge and the green chile stew on top is to die for. It would have been too much for all the stuff we have planned for today, thus the B&G. The service is always excellent here. Despite it being a Sunday morning, we were seated quickly, and our server was great. Please don't let my one poor experience dissuade you from coming. Just get something that doesn't have a biscuit. read more

Terribly disappointing. I saw 4.1 stars and lots of reviews and was sure it would be great. It was not. Service was fine: quick, friendly, though not terribly professional. Food was utterly average. Their bison queso nachos are just their bison chili with a hunk of cheese plopped in (the pico was very bad). The filet was perfectly cooked, but I could tell it was a cheap grade meat. The other dishes at our table were also average. One exception: the beet and strawberry salad got high marks from those who tried it. In short, you can do better elsewhere in Vail. Tip: avoid the restaurants that are part of a hotel. I ignored my gut on this one and regret it. read more

The place seemed cute and the food looked good , however when reading the "fine print" portion at the bottom of the menus I noticed the lack of professionalism. if you have children I wouldn't consider this place the most appropriate. The word orgy was used In their house rules section on their menus along with other words like naked, @ss, ect. I get the vibe they are shooting for but this felt too far especially for minors who may be reading the menu and after look up what an orgy is later on their computers. It's a nice traditional breakfast joint compared to all the boujee crap in Vail. The prices are a bit high for the serving size, but it's Vail. The B&G and CFS were $20 each and glass of OJ was $8! Charming little Breakfast Spot in Vail This place is a gem! They've got a dog-friendly patio, an extensive brunch menu, and some of the biggest Bloody Marys you'll find on this side of the mountain.
