Pizza is Detroit style square slices and they even give options for corner piece or regular slice. Pizza comes out hot & flavorful, service is a wonderful touch and the ambiance of the village can't be beat. all the seating is outdoors so keep that in mine. They offer a few different items, including pizza that you can order in different sizes or by the slice. I opted for a slice of the Jack Attack, which comes with pepperoni, pepperoncini, and onion. The slices are pretty big and very reasonably priced. I love a spot that offers pizza by the slice, since it lets everyone choose what they want without having to commit to a full pizza to share. You can also build your own slice or pizza with the toppings of your choice. Overall I love the concept, but the pizza was average. It did the job but wasn't great. If I find myself back in Vail looking for a slice, I'd probably explore other options, though I may end up back here for the convenience of pizza by the slice!

I decided that I would just have a drink outside then, so I was given a drink menu and sat at one of the tables when the same hostess came over ten minutes later and said I had to order from the bar and then bring my drink back to the table. So, I guess she didn't want to go out of her way to do that exhausting task and make a small tip? Basically, not only does anyone not get any drink service, but we're not even allowed to eat anything outside during this particular event. All of the people sitting near me were as flabbergasted by the fact that no one could actually order and eat at this restaurant while watching this poor band that only a handful of people showed up to see. Maybe Blue Moose had some personal grudge against the band Sqwerv and didn't want anyone watching them that evening, as I've never seen this type of thing happen during any of the other Lionshead Live! concerts. Typically, anyone can eat wherever they want and enjoy some live music, so I watched the band play one song and left because I was hungry. Maybe I dodged a bullet, because it seems the pizza here isn't that great, and the service is dreadfully pathetic. Oh, Blue Moose, I hope you're proud to have earned a single star for your hospitality, and maybe in the future, you might actually value the fact that people want to eat at your restaurant and be more accommodating to them.
