Food, service and great patio views! I had the BEST Asian Poke salad by far! The tomato soup was fantastic as well. Our waitress was super helpful and attentive! We were able to sit outside and view the river. All the flowers were blooming and it was just a great experience overall.

Wish I could have tried it. The reviews looked excellent here. The look is more bar vibe than restaurant. We couldn't seem to get anyone to acknowledge us to be seated. We were the only two people there, too. Finally left.

I come to the Fitz every time in Vail. I love the patio. Great place before concerts at the Ford Amphitheater.

The Fitz for happy hour is very special... the menu, ambience, service and entertainment on special days. Stop for a bite and drink prior your Amp concert.

Came here for dinner after a hard day of snowboarding on Wednesday. I made reservations but honestly, it was pretty dead so you can just walk in. The restaurant is located inside a hotel and offered free parking inside the garage which is a plus in Vail. The food was great for the price. We got the poutine to share and it was amazing! Completely hit the spot. I had a burger with truffle tots and the tots were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place for dinner if you're ever in Vail for a ski vacation.

Beautiful, peaceful patio overlooking the creek to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat. Flower boxes everywhere, very friendly, attentive service, and peaceful vibe. We enjoyed a Fire on the Mountain cocktail and martini, and split a Fitz burger with tater tots. Everything was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyable.

We had dinner here two nights as we were staying at the Vail Manor Lodge. The food is always solid and the service is sometimes questionable. Great place to go to before a concert in Ford Amphitheater.

We went here because they had reservations at the last minute. The whole staff was so friendly. They were getting ready to close for a month but still so accommodating for us. We had a nice relaxing date night. They let us take our time. We enjoyed the food and drinks and the view and it was very peaceful.

Easily our favorite spot in Vail. In fact, we loved it so much we came here twice! Without naming names, we made it a priority to visit all of the "must go restaurants" in Vail during our recent ski trip. After building out our itinerary, we still had an open evening without a dinner reservation. After scrolling through Yelp, I came across an unassuming restaurant in a hotel a short walk from ours that seemed reasonably priced and unpretentious called The Fitz. There weren't a ton of reviews, but the reviews were really good. Even though no one I knew that frequently visited Vail had mentioned the Fitz, I went ahead an made a reservation. Thank goodness I did... this place was absolutely incredible and blew all the "must go" Vail restaurants out of the water. Service was phenomenal, friendly, and quick. The drinks were generous and delicious. Old Fashion was great. The different flavored Moscow Mules were great. However, their spicy margarita was the drink we couldn't stop ordering. Most importantly, their food was so so good. The cheese curds are a must get appetizer. The 10 oz flat iron was perfectly cooked, melted in your mouth, and was packed with flavor. Also really enjoyed the truffle Mac and cheese and the Brussel Sprouts. We loved this place so much, we cancelled our reservation for our last night and came here again. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

    Excited to have dinner here!

Hidden gem. Phenomenal patio overlooking the creek, lots of TVs if you love sports, great food, and even better staff. Just come on down.

Dinner reservations are available 30 days out on Open Table, and they go instantly. I heard them quote 2+ hours for walk-ins, so definitely plan ahead if you can! Cocktails: I've always loved their cocktails, so even if you don't have dinner here, you should at least check out the bar. I've never been disappointed in any drink I've gotten. Dinner: - Butternut baba ganoush: all the flavors of baba ganoush but with butternut squash, and the warm pita was great - Fire roasted tomato and chorizo soup: a bit on the thinner side, smoky, interesting - Buttermilk sea salt biscuit: rich, flaky, with extra butter, country ham, and red pepper jelly - Warm pimento cheese: I don't usually care for pimento, but their's is great with grilled bread. They also use this on their burger at lunch - Wood grilled octopus: nice wood fire flavor, great ham hock beans underneath, grilled avocado - Crispy brussels sprouts: interesting flavor with the grilled avocado sikil pak - Wood fired pork chop: tender, generously sized - Grilled cobia: wonderful warming pineapple coconut curry, charred pineapple, and fresnos for a kick - Seafood diavolo: very flavorful (my dad found it too salty), served over polenta Lunch items: - Fresh catch: Argentenian shrimp and polenta - like shrimp and grits, very flavorful - Grilled cheese and soup: always a good combo - Burger: we added the onion rings, which had a good kick to them They also had a really solid kids' menu, which I appreciate. Despite how busy they are, service is attentive, and the manager came by personally to check in, which was a nice touch. Food and drink pacing was also good despite it being packed. They have their system down! There's a reason why we keep coming back trip after trip!

Other employees helped with service, including clearing plates and inquiring if we needed anything. The restaurant is definitely number one at customer service and I loved how everyone worked together. Even though the restaurant was busy, we did not feel lost in the shuffle. It was clean and inviting. They offered an array of choices, so there would be something for everyone if you decide to dine here. The food was good, preparation and display were done carefully, but the taste was overall just ok. The appetizers we chose were Warm Pimento Cheese, which was mildly flavorful, but good, and Prime Beef Carne Apache, which had no flavor at all. The main courses we chose included a pork dish and a chicken dish. The chicken had great flavor, but was placed on a bed of potato wedges which were not all completely cooked through. We felt this took away from the overall dish. The accompanied sauce made with yogurt and poppyseed did not add any flavor to the dish. The pork dish had great flavor. The drinks accompanying the food were made well and tasty. The kids menu has an array of choices as well, and our choice of macaroni and cheese was a hit! We ended with a frozen snicker bar dessert that tasted exactly like a frozen snickers bar. Overall, we had a very nice evening and would definitely visit again.

On top of that she was giving us attitude the whole time. Now the owner... I feel terrible for the people who have to work for this lady. After 30 mins of us sitting there and having a drink and some snacks. She walks over and gave us some much attitude and was said "WASNT THERE A RESERVED SIGN ON THIS TABLE? Because this is my table!" we quickly replied no there wasn't. Whole time the manager was also there rolling her eyes at us and giving us a face. These ladies continued to make us feel so uncomfortable for the next couple minutes. So I just paid and left. I didn't even want to pay to be honest. Only four of us were there as the other two were across the street at Christy's returning their rental skis. There was a table of 6 but the hostess said she couldn't sit us until the other two arrived. Right then, a guy walks up and asks for that same table. He was by himself and she gave the table with six chairs to him. His full party was clearly not there but she sat him anyway. Why is that allowed? Clearly favoritism. And to be clear, two of his friends showed up and the other three never arrived. So, at that point we told the hostess we were now a table of four and she said we could sit at a table that had 3 chairs. Well okay....we took it. We grabbed the table and asked other tables around us for the extra 3 chairs and everyone was nice enough to give us the extra chairs. Our server, Suzanne was excellent. Very attentive, friendly and immediately brought us our drinks and food. The nachos were tasty. Drinks were good but pricy. I give Suzanne 5 stars, food 3 stars hostess 0 stars. Treat everyone fairly and respectfully. The hostess could use customer service training.

As anticipated, the place was gorgeous...with a slightly formal air. Given that it was in the Vail Village (near the ski slope), my husband was able to enter the place in his rugged ski suit. Despite the ambiance, it was a bit dead. I was disappointed with the lack of French music overhead...though maybe it was on so low, I didn't hear it? There were plenty of breakfast-brunch options, but on the menu, some items were noted as taking 20 minutes (which we didn't have time for!), so I was a tad bummed about that. In any case, my husband chose this Huckleberry Bacon French Toast, and I ordered the Maryland Crab Benedict. For drinks, we both just ordered plain coffee. As expected, the foods were good. I was more impressed with my husband's choice, this super-fancy french toast. Not only did it look amazing, it tasted spectacular! Mine was good, but disappointing at the same time. I really liked the Crab Benedict, but I only half-liked the side salad (basically just Arugula with a few Walnuts and Figs). The total bill for these items ran over 100 bucks... which, was to be expected in Vail. However, for such a pricey breakfast, I felt that I should have absolutely loved it...but it felt short of that. Overall, I just expected a bit more from this breakfast experience. Again, the decor was gorgeous, but the ambiance wasn't fully there (because of the lack of music?). Service felt a bit short-skimpy as well. Foods were good, but mine especially (Crab Benedict) felt a bit lacking. Let's just say that I've had Crab Benedicts as just as good for half the price...and with better sides. Maybe lunch or dinner experience is better here? In any case, am glad we checked out the place...but I doubt I'll choose it for breakfast again.

The Aubergine Roulade, roasted eggplant rolled with roasted red peppers, spinach, chèvre and herbs served over baby arugula, mimolette cheese, toasted pine nuts, pickled fresno pepper & aged balsamic reduction (!) was good. With all those ingredients it should have been spectacular. Nice evening but disappointing.
