The red sauce on this pizza is SO GOOD! We got a couple different kinds and what stood out to me was how flavorful the red sauce was. I also really liked the toppings to cheese ratio. My favorite topping was the sausage, but they were all super tasty. Also the location is perfect, I've been walking this place for years and am so happy I finally got a chance to try it! The inside is also feels like an old school pizza shop, which is very cozy and welcoming. I tried to call in my order multiple times but no one answered so when I walked in on a Friday night and noticed there was no line I was concerned. The guy working the register totally ignored me for 2mins while he texted someone on his phone. Didn't say hi or anything just "what can I get you?" Being it from CO, I ordered a 3topping and then asked if they had a white sauce pizza which he then replied no.. with no other suggestions on a closer style pizza. The guy seems so annoyed that I was even ordering again they were not busy!!! Then when it came to pay I put "0" for a tip since I had cash in my wallet and the guy decided to throw attitude and sarcastically thank me for not tipping and crumble up the receipt Again I was going to tip in cash but after that I didn't think he deserved it. I was a bit nervous about trying this spot out due to the mixed reviews but we were in the area and needed a quick bite due to the kiddos being hungry. As a party of five we were seated pretty quickly and it's definitely informal pizza spot and also quite family friendly. We ordered fries and bread for quick appetizers and it was tasty! Extremely Rude Service I don't usually leave reviews, but I had such a bad experience at Pazzo's in Vail that I felt like I needed to say something. The guy at the front with the long hair is unbelievably rude. Both over the phone and in person, he acts like he couldn't care less about the customers. No eye contact, short cold answers, and just a really unfriendly attitude all around. On top of that, he has the nerve to demand tips, like seriously? When you're being that rude? It honestly felt like he was doing us a favor by even acknowledging us. The energy he gives off is just terrible and it really sets a bad tone for the whole place. This is the original location in Vail Village that opened in 1990. Pazzo's was started by some guys who would ski all day and make pizzas at night. Pazzo's Pizzeria is located next to the parking structure and was walking distance from our hotel. It was crazy packed in here on a chilly Friday night. Their menu has pizza, calzones, pasta, sandwiches, and appetizers. There are plenty of TV's inside that showcase local sports. I grabbed a couple slices of pizza and a beer. The Corfu is more of a Greek style pizza with olives, tomatoes, and feta cheese. The Azteca has peppers and jalapeños. I enjoyed both my slices. I felt bad for my friend who has celiac disease. This location has no gluten-free options other than greens (yet the other two locations have gluten-free pizza). My buddy had to watch me scarf down my slices of pizza while he ate his tiny little salad. How about make all your locations with gluten-free options. read more

Pazzo's wasn't bad... unless you require a gluten-free diet (like I do). There were NOT ANY gluten-free options available for appetizers, sandwiches, calzones, or pizzas. So I was left with a choice of two or three salads... from the ENTIRE MENU.. The anti-depressant, I mean antipasto, salad was actually quite good, but it is depressing watching all of those pizzas being made, brought out to other hungry customers, and eaten without even being afforded the opportunity to enjoy one as well. I wouldn't come back for the salad, but if you have celiac and end up at Pazzo's, then at least the antipasto salad will leave you with one good option. It took over 15 minutes for the server to acknowledge us. It would have been fine if he was busy. I ordered a soda and a speciality pizza. The pizza was not good. I think the chef spilt the entire container of onions on the pizza. No refill on the soda and I had to ask for my check because he was so inattentive. read more

The waitress was really kind & did a good job. There are a lot of great italian/ pizza restaurants in Vail! This is NOT one of them. These guys have been at it for so long they have forgotten about customer service and quality food. Our latest experience was quite frankly one of the worst I've ever had anywhere in the Vail Valley. The vibe from the server was she didn't want to be there.. and she didn't want us to be there. Absolutely no interest in getting anything right. We finally had to go ask the manager for our kids meal( see pic) which came way after the adult meals. And a big congrats to the " manager" not managing anything but too busy watching the football game to help with anything. His complete, well thought out and helpful response was.. After more than l 20 minutes on a very hot day, no server had approached us for even a drink, so we politely asked another employee for some ice water. Found this place to have great tasting pizza and pasta! They are a fixture in Vail and always busy. That said, we got a table fairly quickly around 2 pm on a Sunday. Sitting outside was pleasant. The menu is complete and mostly casual Italian. The big point for me, they have a pretty large craft beer selection. We got a large pizza and salad, with a side of rigatoni. Server took the order quickly but there was some language challenges. Salads arrived quickly. Plastic plate had a large chip on the side & a crack down the middle. Hard to miss so why would a restaurant keep washing it? Pizza arrived 15 mins later. Ordered with olives on half - came with olives on all. Sandwich came 15 mins after the pizza.
