This was our second visit to Craftsman in Edwards, and one thing hasn't changed--the food is outstanding. This time I ordered the Schmidt Mac Burger with Parmesan Fries, while my wife had the Wagyu Reuben with a side salad. Every bite was delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly, the fries were crispy with just the right amount of Parmesan, and my wife's Reuben was loaded with flavor. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. After our meals were delivered, our server rarely checked back. We were never asked if we wanted another drink, and our water glasses sat empty long enough that we finally had to ask another server for refills. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it definitely wasn't the level of service you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. One thing to know before you go--the prices are on the higher side. My burger and Parmesan fries were around $33, so this isn't your average burger joint. That said, the quality of the food helps justify the price. Overall, the kitchen absolutely delivers, and that's why we'll be back. Hopefully this was just an off day for the service staff, because if the front of the house matched the outstanding food coming from the kitchen, Craftsman would easily earn five stars. read more

This place was only decent. For starters, their service was pretty slow. It took them forever to get our drinks. The kids menu was very very limited. There were only four options to choose from! The food was good at least. I enjoyed my cheese pizza and the dessert was pretty good. Also, the inside of the restaurant was pretty clean, especially the bathroom. Was in town on a ski trip and stopped in this place for lunch. We started with the brussel sprouts and these were super tasty! The avocado labneh sauce was deliciously paired with an Asian citrus sauce. Nice portion too! After, I split the wagyu beef brisket Rueben topped with Gruyère and a sauce slathered on. This sandwich had so much flavor. It was super saucy and heavy, but delicious, nonetheless. Id hold off on the parm fries, as they were nothing to write home about. So so good! Everything was delicious and you can tell it was made with care. Not the typical brewery/bar food. The pizza was thin and crispy. My family and I used to frequent the Craftsman all the time. But today, we walked out shortly after looking at the menu. The prices were ridiculous. $28 for a sandwich, and $8 more to add fries? Stopped into Craftsman Brew with no wait. This is a neighborhood friendly joint with regulars who come in. Plenty of seating and plenty of bar seating. Yes, highly recommend this place. Only thing is that you'll ever only try this place if you're going to or from Denver and need a pit stop. The service was over the top from our waitresses. Three of us dined here on Wednesday night. The hostess stand procedures seemed a bit chaotic. Everybody was standing around and she was really slow at taking peoples names. Eventually, we were able to put our name in after almost 10 minutes of standing there and fortunately for us, we arrived a little later, so a lot of tables were turning, and we barely had to wait at all. Two of the four of us had the chicken sandwich which said it was spicy, but it needed to have a warning because it was on fire given that it had ghost peppers. Someone who may not know that or notice theword, ghost pepper would have a hard time eating the sandwich because it was so spicy hot. Another of us ordered a strawberry arugula salad with fried chicken instead of grilled. What was really nice was that the fried chicken was a thigh piece so it was extremely moist and tender, although the breading was about 30% too thick! The other of us ordered the black kale salad with chicken breast - it was also very fresh and tasty. French fries were hot and crispy. Service was very friendly and efficient. The lighting is a bit too bright for me and the table set up and traffic flow makes it feel as if people are walking by your table constantly. read more

I used to love this place! Their green chili Philly was one of the best sandwiches I'd ever had. I went yesterday and was so disappointed! The green chili Philly had no flavor! We tried several times to get his attention, he cleaned everyone's plate instead at the bar, okay. At 3:40ish, I did become a bit impatient and ask if he was ready and could we order? He was(n't). Lunch however, was no longer an option. Only Hh food was now available. That severely limited my GF options, including my choice the Poke bowl. We discussed that the nachos may or may not be GF yet the burger did have a GF bun option, but safest was wings with sauce on the side. Okay, I'll have that and Hubs had the smashed burger. Around 4:10ish I ordered a second house Chardonnay. Hubs was not a fan of the beer and declined. The environment was quiet for a place that took reservations and didn't have anything after 515. Fantastic place! Was looking for a good casual place away from vail village. Worth the 10 minute drive west. Great clean atmosphere and better food! We came here for drinks with kids and did not get any food. We sat outside on the patio which, despite being in a parking lot, they make look cozy and quiet. There are picnic tables to accommodate larger groups and dogs. The inside space is massive with bar seating, booths, and tables all seated around the giant stainless steel tanks and open kitchen and bar. It's a great space to hang out in! Our service was sub-par. The waitress was busy with other tables inside and outside and routinely skipped our table or told us she'd come back after helping every other table and having to be flagged down again. It was fine until the kids were done and we couldn't find her to pay our tab. Just a little disappointed in her change of attitude and availability once we told her we weren't ordering food.. it's a brewery. Pizza was good but the 5% hidden fee on the menu which was not even considered a tip but some kind of extra change. It's like " do you want me to make things more expensive for you" Look just charge whatever you want for the food and pay your employees whatever you want. Don't put these hidden junk fees on my bill. Where are you getting this from? Did some kind of consultant pass though town and tell you to do this? Where exactly is this coming from? Good for groups of 2-4 this craft beer house has good food and good times with daily happy hour from 4-5:30PM. The signature cocktails include a solid variety of choices from a Cadillac Margarita and frozen pineapple "pain killer" as well as the normal craft brews. The food is elevated pub with good burgers, fresh PEI oysters, and other solid choices. The bartenders were prompt and friendly, with excellent service overall. If you're in Edwards it's certainly a top choice for socializing and fun. read more

i'm here to talk about the arugula salad. This is my favorite category of salad and they did it all wrong. Arugula, red onions, fuji apple, walnuts, vinaigrette. all perfect ingredients and all tasted superb on their own. the downfall of this salad is the addition of bleu cheese. I didn't think it would be that bad, and for the record it was still a good salad, but the cheese just overtook all of the good flavor from the other ingredients. I feel they could opt for something more subtle such as feta. But the service was good for being pretty busy, would come again. read more
