The sandwich I got was a "Philly" that was microwaved and chewy and just disgusting. We waited at the counter for a few minutes before anyone addressed us and the guy seemed pretty rude. It just felt like this place fell off real bad from last time we were here. It was really dead. That should have been a sign. I will NEVER be coming back. I think it's different owners? This place was good. there was a change of ownership and it's been downhill. They no longer give you a side with your $12 slice of bread. They have cut back on the ingredients included on your price of bread. Today I got the hot veto and received 2 slice of meet 1 slice of cheese and a tomato slice cut in half. The flavors are great. Quality ingredients are used here. We had the Little Current and Touch of Gold. The lox was excellent and the sesame bagel was so much better than most of the ones in Denver. Built our own breakfast sandwich and went all out. Even with adding almost all of the things we could, the chef crafted this sandwich so well that it mostly stayed together haha. Hate to be a naysayer, as Belmont does use quality ingredients in their sandwiches, but I've now tried 3 different items on their menu, and all have been well under par of what I was expecting based on the other glowing reviews. First try was a hot pastrami sandwich. It had a generous pile of meat but the meat had more fat than I'd ever seen on pastrami and it was dripping in grease. They didn't have the side cole slaw that looked so appetizing in other photos-- only a very sour-tasting potato salad. Figuring I might have just ordered a dud off the menu, I went back a few weeks later for try #2. I'm from Chicago and was very excited to see a "Chicago Hot Dog" on their menu. It came somewhat close to the real thing-- pure Vienna beef dog, condiments favoring a tomato wedge rather than ketchup, etc. But it was missing the two things that makes a true Chicago dog: celery salt and a poppyseed bun! I also was shocked when I took my first bite that the dog was barely lukewarm and the bun was stale. Disgusting! So, I thought I'd try one last time to give them an honest shot. The time, I was there on a Thursday which features their special "Chicago Italian Beef" sandwich. Ok, clearly this place likes to reference Chicago foods, but have they ever been there to taste the real thing? Apparently not. This sandwich was nothing more than plain roast beef on a hoagie roll. No seasoned juice to give it the authentic Italian taste. I'm sorry, Belmont. I really wanted to love your sandwiches as much as everyone else, but a true deli with authentic Chicago offerings you are not. Three strikes, you're out! read more

I'm normally pretty skeptical of going to Delis. Why would I pay for a sandwich when I can make them at home? Belmont completely opened my eyes today to the universe of good sandwiches. I had the Commendable with a root beer and it was one of the best, if not THE best sandwich I've had in a very long time. Ate breakfast here on Monday 6/17/19 after driving up from Denver and dropping my son off to work the lacrosse tournament. After I made it through the construction project in Edwards (eventually found some different ways to avoid that!) this place was a welcome respite. I ordered the avocado toast and some hot tea. The food was delicious and I sat outside with my dogs and just enjoyed the sunshine and view for a long time. The food was great, but I have to say the service was the best part. Not only was the guy at the register very friendly and helpful, but he brought some bacon out to my two dogs on separate trays with a little garnish for no charge. They loved it! I will be back next week with the whole family (more lacrosse!) and we will definitely eat a meal or two here. read more
