    The Carne, excellent pizza
    Mark W. S.

Located on the boardwalk this is a small place with very few tables inside. However there are tables outside on a common patio. This is more of a take-out place which we did. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this pie. It was delicious. They source their flour from Italy and use a 48 hour process. They also use Napoli San Marzano tomatoes. We ordered the Carne, a pepperoni, sausage, and cheese. Also a Caesar salad. The crust was superb. Highly recommend this place.

A quaint little place in Grand Lake. The outdoor seating area was very pleasant. We ordered their specialty pizza, sandwich and four cheese pizza. The food came quick and we didn't have to wait. It's a self service restaurant. Absolutely loved their sandwich and the specialty pizza. The ingredients were very fresh and the bread was phenomenal. The four cheese pizza was salty to my taste. They customise pizza to our dietary needs. Overall, a great dining experience.

While on vacation in Grand Lake Colorado we decided to have dinner at Firefly Pizza. The lady up front was courteous and did a great job with our order. Pizza size options was not available the only size available was about a medium size pizza our pepperoni pizza and one can coke with tax and tip, yes a walk up do it yourself was asking for a tip, was about $24.00. I guess dinner for two wasn't too bad. Anyway the pizza was prepared quickly and was an average pizza. No complaints.

Yummy wood fired pizzas. A little overpriced but not surprised for tourist spot. Service was great. Would recommend

Delicious pizza!! This is relatively new pizza place and its fills the void. Everyone in our party got their own personal pizza. They offer specialty pizzas and plain old pepperoni pizza. Large portions and prices are reasonable. There is a full bar. Pet friendly with outside dining. Great wheelchair access tables and umbrellas. Bathrooms need a deep clean. We will be back!!!

Tables high enough you can choose to stand as my mom and I did. Iced coffee in pic is from The Hub right around the corner.

Really good pizza and loved the ambience. Service was good. You order at the counter then have a seat. You'll get a pager to let you know when your food is ready.

    Margherita Pizza [amazing]

I am completely flabbergasted that the best Neapolitan pizza I've ever had was found in the small town of grand Lake Colorado. The purveyor of this establishment clearly knows what he is doing and has mastered the small details. His poolish is powerful. ;) If you've never had a Neapolitan pizza, get the margherita pizza and eat it hot on site for the best experience.

Margarita for sure is there best! Best pizza I have had in the world and that's a lot of countries

The owner Phillip was drinking a Guinness at the bar when we arrived with his back to the door. No welcome. Just told us to sit anywhere. Turns out the whole family works there. Met the daughter Grace while perusing the menu. Not a lot of options but we tried the chicken wings with pints of Outlaw lager beer. Both were fairly tasty. Looking around at the tiny place made me think of a cozy little British pub. The tunes playing in the background were pleasant. The owner told us his story about buying the business and how his family worked there. Saturday afternoon had only three family members as the wife was out. As sweet as his daughter was, she was far too talkative to patrons and fairly ignored the two groups of people who came inside and sat down. Her dad was in the back washing dishes and we still waited 10 minutes to order our main dish. The other patrons even got up to look in back to see if anyone was working there because they were ignored. About ten minutes later the owner came around the corner but Daughter was still gossiping outside. He scurried around. We split the fish and chips between the two of us as well as the salad. I was not impressed with the food. The small pieces of battered fish were decent but the overcooked fries and the salad were NOT good. I was bummed. It's like they realize the fish portions are small and they overcompensate with too many fries. I really wanted to like the place. The salad dressing came in store bought packets. Bottom line; only come for the beer and you will be happy.

It wasn't overly crowded but they had several pickup orders during our visit. We got a couple beers and a Greek salad and the 16" super pizza. Palisade peach beer was great. There was only one lady working the front of house by herself and she was efficient but a little frazzled. The salad was delicious! Crisp and tasty and the dressing was great! I was surprised, though, by how dirty the place was and to see the plastic Covid wall separators still in place between booths, but it stops pesky kids from staring at you over the neighboring backside. LOL! The shakers of salt and pepper and Parmesan cheese were greasy and covered in fingerprints. The napkin holder was gross. The floors could be cleaned better too. I guess off season means relaxed standards? Our pizza wasn't cooked enough in my opinion. The cheese was not fully melted and the bottom of the pie was soft and doughy and a little soggy. We asked for extra cheese and extra sausage but Kelsey only heard xtra sauce. It wasn't bad and the ingredients were good but it could have been better. The place appears to need a facelift and deep cleaning. Lots of wear and tear is obvious. This place needs some love.

I was told 15 to 20 minutes and arrived right at the 20 minute mark, but it was obvious the pizza had been sitting there much longer. It was served up ice cold. Even the dollops of ricotta tasted like they were added after the pizza was made, straight from the refrigerator. I am not exaggerating when I say ice cold, despite parts of the pizza being burnt. The edges of the crust were burnt, not in a good wood fired way with flavor, but just hard, overcooked, and inedible. While the toppings were generous, the pizza itself was extremely dry, just like others have mentioned. As I waited, I could see into the kitchen and noticed they were using pre made crusts, basically the kind you would grab at a grocery store when you do not feel like making your own. Charging $47 for that? No thanks. I hate wasting food, but we could not even finish this pizza. It was that bad. That is on me for not checking reviews beforehand. We should have just stuck with our usual spot, Grand Pizza, which happened to be closed for mud season. The difference in quality is night and day. I just want to warn others before they make the same mistake and waste their money like I did. Definitely will not be back.

When we began eating the pizza, we found nearly every piece of pepperoni still had the plastic casing on. I called just to let them know and received a text back, with no name, telling us it was the sausage casing and the sausage was some of the best tasting this unnamed person had ever had. I responded that it was specifically the pepperoni. I received a response asking if it was the thin or thick sliced. It was the thin. While we received a response thanking us for the feedback, there was no apology issued or any thought of asking us how they could correct this for us. While the pizza tasted fine, it was really inconvenient to peel a plastic type casing off each piece of pepperoni and frankly dulled our enjoyment of the meal.
