Lancelot is cozy and inviting -- warm lighting, lively energy, and a staff that made us feel genuinely welcome. We came in later in the evening specifically for the prime rib, and although we were initially told it was sold out, he came back and told us they have one left, they made it happen! Tender and full of flavor with a generous cup of fries! The au jus was spot-on, exactly what you want with a great cut of beef. We also had crème brûlée with espresso. And the service was so wonderful, a shot of limoncello found its way to our table. Service was so friendly and attentive especially for us coming in so close to closing time. It's a must visit when in Vail. Just make sure to make a reservation if you're going during prime time -- it fills up fast for good reason.

The restaurant sits within the heart of vail town center so we found parking nearby to be difficult and ended up paying for valet parking at the nearest place we could find Besides that everything is top notch here! In fact it was so good WE WENT TWICE in our 3 day stay

Incredibly disappointing meal and not worth the money. We went on a Monday night and ordered the prime rib rare and coconut shrimp and a soup. The prime rib was medium well and extremely mediocre. The coconut shrimp were okay but nothing special and the soup was just okay. The highlight was our server as he was incredibly sweet and attentive. The vibe was stuffy and stale. I would recommend eating anywhere else if you can!

Absolutely amazing! Their Wienerschnitzel is delicious. Prices are great for the portions. We voted their apple strudel the best in Vail. The inside ambience is wonderful. This is one restaurant we will definitely come back to visit one another vacation in Vail.

This is not a strong four star review. I ate there last week and also went last year. The caesar salad was good and enough for two. The apple strudel with ice cream was delicious and was the highlight of the meal. The prime rib was another story. I ordered the Lancelot cut at medium rare and I received a cut that was clearly medium at best so the server brought me another order that was borderline medium rare. The meat was good but nothing special. It didn't have the taste that would bring a smile to your face. The server was very nice, however it took quite a while for the entree to arrive. I don't plan to return on my next trip to Vail.

My sister and I split the King Arthur's cut of prime rib. We got the fries and green beans on the side. Everything was so good, and the restaurant was nice and cozy after a day of skiing. Our waiter was very attentive and kind.

Our last 2024 meal! It was amazing! We were able to sit by the bar. Service was courteous & friendly. The food was great. My French onion soup was served nice and hot, the Lancelot cut was 8 oz of perfection. So glad this was our last meal. Since I had to stay up till midnight, I had the espresso martini. It was just what I needed. Cheers to 2025!

Probably between 3-4 because I'm not the biggest prime rib fan but this was solid. I ordered the Lancelot cut, which was the med sized prime rib. I asked for medium, and it came perfectly medium and had good flavor. The horseradish sauce was very good mild and delicious. It came with a baked potato, which also had sour cream and butter also very good. The service was fine, mot very fast but the food came out quick. Don't forget to ask for extra su jus! I highly recommend the strudel for dessert handmade by the owner very good flavor and crisp ice cream. The layout of the restaurant was a little odd with tables oddly facing.

First time trying the Lancelot Restaurant. We had a 5pm dinner reservation for the 4th of July. We walked in and got seated instantly. Ordered the heated bread to start and it tasted warm and fresh, we both ordered the Sir Lancelot Cut and it had good flavor. Our server was super friendly, she was on top of her game and made sure we were taken care of. We sat on the patio with a nice view of the creek and the setting was beautiful.

Went out with some friends and family to try Lancelot for dinner at Vail Village last night and it was delicious! We ordered a lot of food, which included bone marrow (couldn't find the name of the dish on the menu), escargot, shrimp, Caesar salad, the prime rib, and apple strudel. The bone marrow was rich and unlike anything I've had before. The escargot acted more like a vessel for the spices and butter it was soaked in. It tasted and felt a lot like a mushroom. The puff pastry that covered it was perfection: soft, crispy, buttery. Yum. The shrimp was your standard shrimp. Good, but nothing too exciting. The Caesar salad had just the right amount of dressing on it. I got the 10z prime rib and baked potato for my main, which was WAY too much meat in hindsight. This slab of meat was around an inch thick, salty, and melted in my mouth. If you like meat, this is for you. The baked potato was alright. It's served with a bunch of different condiments on the side (horseradish, sour cream and chives, and bacon bits), so you're free to doctor it up to your hearts content. The apple strudel was perfection. Who doesn't love a warm pastry with sweet apple filling, whipped cream, and vanilla ice cream? Great way to end the night. Like the food, the service at Lancelot was spot on. Our waiter came around multiple times to check in on us, refilling our waters and asking how everything was. However, he left enough time between each check in that it didn't feel excessive. If you've down for a meat-heavy dinner with awesome service, check out Lancelot next time you're in Vail!

We love Lancelot. The ingredients are top notch and always fresh. Everything was delicious and this was our favorite meal in Vail. The service is very welcoming and attentive. We even had a special request for the pasta dish and it was accommodated and delicious! Like everything in Vail, you will pay a premium, BUT the quality of the food and the service are in line, so we feel like the value is great. We also sat inside, but near the open patio with the doors open and it was a great summer atmosphere. This wasn't our first time here, and it certainly won't be our last!

And to stumble upon this chic and inconspicuous cocktail bar in the busy downtown was something I wasn't expecting and became a treat after a nice stroll through the town after dinner in my hotel room. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was at the place where my heart was calling for. There were two gents at the bar and one of them warmly greeted me and said I could sit anywhere I would like. I hence picked one of the bar seats. Except one table that was occupied by a couple I was the only one. I appeared to have picked the right time; I had the whole bar to myself (eventually though, several different groups of people streamed in; only a few of them sat at the bar close to me. The bar was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a little over 10 people.) Jeremy, who greeted me upon arrival, was a super host. As soon as I explained that wine is my usual got-to, he said he could mix and match reds and whites to create a "flight" based on what I had told him as to my likings. His extensive explanations as to what sorts of reds and whites the bar offers/serves was (of course) all in his memory. His eloquent speech with no filler words truly impressed me; he sure is a wine connoisseur. What he picked for me were... -2024 Pepiere "Les Gras Moutons" (Muscadet) -Kobal "Bajta", Hazole Belo (aka Orange Wine) -Sandlands "Red Table Wine (Lodi Red Blend) With his wealth of knowledge, after giving him only a hint of what I liked, what Jeremy selected for me to sample/sip was a superb choice. All of them were world-class excellence with elegance and beauty. I carefully and slowly sipped each one little by little to truly immerse myself in the art of wine. Yes, wine is a piece of art for sure. I think I said it correctly at the beginning of this review. This is a cocktail bar with variety of spirits which Jeremy could easily concoct just about anything from gin-based one to vodka-based one to tequila-based ones to whiskey-based one to name several. For those who don't drink, their zero-proof section also has something interesting to browse and choose. Not to mention, rotating pilsner or IPA on tap to name a few from the beer section as well. If you need a little bite to eat, their (changing) food menu has a good number of New American-style plates. The bar originally opened in a different building back in 2015 (I believe). They moved to the current location in 2019. They also offer various different classes so you can expand/extend your knowledge. So for your next foodie vacation in Vail, make sure to include Root & Flower in your list.

Price: Expect standard Vail pricing for high-end cocktails, with most drinks ranging between $16-$20. Customer Service: The service was fantastic. The staff was incredibly kind and efficient; even though we stayed for quite a while to catch up, we felt welcomed and well-attended to the entire night. Atmosphere This spot has a cool, welcoming vibe that feels very safe. It's the kind of environment where you can really settle in and enjoy the company you're with. The Drinks I ordered the Sangre del Sol. The flavor was amazing, though be warned it is very strong! It's an excellent choice if you enjoy a cocktail with a serious kick, but I ended up letting my friend finish mine after a few sips. Overall Experience I highly recommend Root & Flower for a beautiful setting and top-tier service. Pro Tip: A huge bonus for this location is the parking! You can park for free after 3 PM at the S. Frontage Rd. East garage right nearby. I'll definitely be back!

Since I'd parked at Lions Head, before I returned to Denver, I considered the Vail Chophouse, as their menu looked delicious, however when I went inside, the live music was so loud - even with my noise-canceling headphones still in- that I still couldn't hear, and knew I'd blow out my ear drums. Enter: Montauk Seafood Grill, the perfect antidote, with an equally appealing menu, and a much more serene ambiance. :-) Given I was famished, I asked my wonderful server, Brenn, for recommendations, and she was - hands down - one of the best servers I've had, in a long time. She was friendly, attentive, honest, and an all around delight. I started by asking her suggestion, as to if I should order the "Blood Moon" or "Happy Coconut" mocktail, and she recommended the Blood Moon, which was delicious! I love Blood Orange, and it had the perfect combination of mint, to be both sweet & sour. I needed a mocktail, given I was driving back to Denver, after dinner. She then brought me delicious Rosemary Sourdough and Citrus Butter, as a starter, which was fantastic, especially given I needed all the carbs, from skipping lunch, riding so much, and from fasting the night before, for a prior medical appointment, that morning, in Denver, hence my late start, snowboarding. Then I ordered - and loved - the Point Reyes Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon, medium rare, with the most delicious asparagus I've ever had, and I was grateful that they could make my truffle potatoes, whipped, instead of hash brown style. I ended my delicious dinner with a cappuccino, for the drive home. Perfection!

Our barkeep, Gummow, a fellow swarthy pirate, was excellent in every possible way. His bar back, Rowan, could not have been a better support man.
