    Pork chop
    Niki S.

We came here for Christmas dinner on the recommendation of a coworker. We were staying in Vail and decided to leave the village in hopes of, if not saving money, finding food that was a better value for the expense. Unfortunately, we didn't find it at Juniper. We walked in and there was no "Merry Christmas" or "happy holidays" or really any welcome whatsoever. We were then led to a high top that was next to a temporary wall, so it was a bit cold. I will never understand why restaurants that charge $45-$75 for an entre will sit people at a high top - this is Uncomfortable. Women in heels do not want to try to find a place for their feet. Also, there was no reason for it - it wasn't saving space. It could have just been a regular table. The service was lacking, to say the least. The menu doesn't have a lot of descriptions, including important information about size of beef portions, but the server didn't provide this information until asked. Even the $100 wagyu special made NO mention of the fact that it was 5oz and only one raviolo (though the menu said 'ravioli') - we didn't order this anyway. We ordered the duck confit pizza ($30), pork chop entre ($50), brussels sprout salad ($20), side order of crab cakes ($25), and side order of potato croquettes ($16). The duck pizza was decent but for $30, the crust was rather flavorless - if the crust was a chewy, charred sourdough, this would have been perfect. At least the duck was good. It was a sizeable portion, so if you're only 2 people and you order this, I would not order another app. The pork chop was a properly sized entree with tasty sides. It was cooked well and the only complaint we had was that the bacon really took away from the flavor. The menu did say bacon, so it wasn't a surprise, but it was unnecessary to the plate. The brussels sprout salad for $20 a bit of a disappointment. It was small and overly vinegary. There were 5 small cubes of butternut squash that could have just been boiled. It's a salad, so I'm not expecting fireworks, but like, do something different? The crabcakes were - as the server pointed out - very small. They tasted great and came with a small frisee salad, and the preparation was good but wow, so small. Not worth $25. The potato croquettes were the biggest disappointment. They were four TINY pomme dauphines that barely had potato in them - if you pressed on them, they entirely compressed. Do not order this. And then, we get the bill, and the Bombay martini I ordered was $24.50. The same martini in Vail Village cost me $20 the night before (and the same martini at a comparable place in Denver would have been $18). The other cocktails were $18, so I really can't imagine why this drink would be 30%+ more. Overall, I can't say I'd recommend this place. Just go to Vail and have dinner - at least then, you won't be annoyed at the cost.

excellent service. dinner was average, pork chop, steak, ravioli, and some pasta dish. I don't remember. They were fine, but nothing exceptional or even really really good.

Filet mignon is awesome, i recommend medium rare it's the best. I go to Juniper quite often and the service is always consistent, quick, and great. Atmosphere is very nice, dim lighted, and chic

DC saved me with a last minute reservation as my mind slipped and did not make one?! We walked in and was sat right away where Scoie welcomed us with a smile :) Food was tasty and the place was cozy. The night went well and we left super happy!

It was completely dead at 12pm on the Saturday I was there. I ordered a Buddha Bowl with Pork Belly ($25+$8) which definitely reflected the higher prices and cost of living of the greater Vail area. Service was great. Decor was charming. Plenty of parking in spaces right outside. This was my second choice for lunch that day, but now it'll be my go-to whenever I'm here in the future!

We opted to sit inside (instead of the outdoor patio that has a view of the parking lot). The food and cocktail menu was unique Asian Mexican fusion. We ordered the: *Yuzu One For Me - green tea vodka, yuzu, grapefruit mint *Red Harvest - gin, red pepper, mint, chili, lime *Rose Ramen - miso bone broth, pork belly, soft boiled egg*, basil, ginger, scallion, sriracha *Taco Platter - 4 tacos (chose 2 ahi & 2 pork belly) All the portions were very small so if you have a bigger appetite, you should order an appetizer. Ample parking. Staff wasn't very friendly (but they might have been in a hurry to get us to leave since we were the last patrons in there). In a quaint plaza called the Riverwalk. Lots of cute shops, eateries, and a 2 screen movie theater that has a surprisingly large food menu.

This time I ordered the Schmidt Mac Burger with Parmesan Fries, while my wife had the Wagyu Reuben with a side salad. Every bite was delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly, the fries were crispy with just the right amount of Parmesan, and my wife's Reuben was loaded with flavor. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. After our meals were delivered, our server rarely checked back. We were never asked if we wanted another drink, and our water glasses sat empty long enough that we finally had to ask another server for refills. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it definitely wasn't the level of service you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. One thing to know before you go--the prices are on the higher side. My burger and Parmesan fries were around $33, so this isn't your average burger joint. That said, the quality of the food helps justify the price. Overall, the kitchen absolutely delivers, and that's why we'll be back. Hopefully this was just an off day for the service staff, because if the front of the house matched the outstanding food coming from the kitchen, Craftsman would easily earn five stars.

Our server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with providing recommendations. We started off with the bread and fondue. The fondue was a big hit with our table, and the cheese was so tasty. The bread was also good, and had a nice unique taste. For mains I tried some of the following: -steak frites: delicious and cooked perfectly, and a huge portion of delicious fries -mussels: definitely a miss, and tasted a bit too salty and the sizes were pretty inconsistent -filet: amazing -mushroom ravioli: absolutely horrible, literally the worst ravioli I've ever had -cacio e pepe: sooo tasty, but tastes was more like carbonara vs a traditional cacio e pepe. I liked the presentation and really loved the pork too. I would definitely recommend sticking with the meats here, as the pasta and seafood were major misses (except the cacio e Pepe was amazing) Overall a solid option for a nicer meal, but not the greatest place ever.

We weren't asked if we wanted it split - this made it $25, which was not worth it. I opted for the table side cacio e pepe which was super cheesey and also had delicious pork belly blended in. We weren't hungry for dessert but the table next to us got a unique mason jar dessert that looked like it was packed with chocolatey goodness. First off, the most notable thing about this experience was the genuinely most amazing waitress I think I have ever encountered, Grace. Grace was the kindest soul, she took such amazing care of us and went ABOVE AND BEYOND. Me and my family will go out to eat now and say "she was good but not as good as Grace". Second off, The food was AMAZING per usual. I had the Wagyu steak and it was cooked perfectly, I usually hate going out for steak because I find it to never be seasoned as much as I'd like but this took the cake. The blue cheese dip with chips was so delicious, like possibly one of the best things we have ever tasted. We also tried to carrot cake sorbet which I know sounds odd but it was so delicious, you can tell the kitchen staff puts their heart and soul into this food. My husband got the special, which was like a Turkish ricotta stuffed pasta and it was AMAZING. Even my sister who got the wagyu burger, AMAZING. My only critique was the hostess was very rude to my family for no reason when we walked in which almost turned my parents off from trying to the most amazing restaurant. Luckily, the service got amazing after that. Everyone was so kind and helping everyone, just a great atmosphere. They also had the Knicks game playing which was great haha. I can't wait to come back next summer for my favorite meal despite living states away we will always make it back to The Pullman.

There is some sort of sauce drizzled, which tastes like an egg yolk base. I scraped it with my fork so I could eat all of it! So delicious! Finished with the Pierogies. Handmade, thin wrappers with perfect, delicious filling. It comes in a bowl with an amazing sauce I couldn't get enough of. I literally used a spoon to drink it!
