Not for me, sleigh ride anxiety attack, slow service and no way out but the sleigh ride back. Ladies, don't wear heels. You have to climb over a snow mountain to get to the sleigh. No.

The Ritz' best experience to offer besides skiing location - the ski left will pick you up from the resort to bring you to Zach's intimate and exclusive location upon the mountain. The location is cozy and staff is friendly, making you feel welcomed. The food is delicious and menu changes based on availability. We split most dishes, as everything was mouth watering. The appetizers, including fondue, was an overall great experience and way to try many items Zach's is able to offer. The appetizers and bread basket were highlights - highly recommend sharing dishes opposed to sticking to your own. It's worth stealing a bite of every dish that Zach's has on their menu.

To get to Zach's Cabin, you take a sleigh ride up the side of a mountain to this luxury mountain chalet complete with gigantic antler chandeliers and a massive, central fireplace. Our window table overlooked the beautiful twinkling lights of Breckenridge below as we enjoyed gourmet food and excellent service. The pumpkin soup was delicious, the sturgeon was perfectly prepared, and the apple pie was topped with.... Wait for it..... Rum-soaked raisins. I'm glad the sleigh didn't have weight restrictions because I probably gained 10 pounds during dinner. This was truly an experience to remember.

Honestly, this experience was so incredible. They could have charged me $30 for bread and I still would have been left smiling. We checked in with concierge at The Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch concierge desk. We got there a bit early and enjoyed a cocktail at the great hall bar. The snow cat drawn sleigh arrived and our driver was quick to cover our seat in wool blankets and give us an oversized waterproof, fleece lined coat to place on our lap (it had been snowing all day). After an amazing drive up a ski run, we got to the cabin and left our coats in a large coat room. There was an option to exchange your boots for North Face slippers which was a nice touch. The restaurant itself felt straight out of a European movie. We shared the king crab dumplings and trout schnitzel. (Honestly, how could you not order either when they sounded so odd). When our entree arrived we were shocked to find they gave us two massive portions on our own plate with the same amount of accoutrements. We honestly thought they misheard us and brought us two portions... but no, when the check came we realized they had gone above and beyond to treat us despite splitting a plate. Bonus: on the way home we were the only two on the sleigh so they let us ride up front in the snow cat. We have been Vail people, but this restaurant has us already planning our next trip back to BC

Have been coming to the Ritz to celebrate my birthday for years and I found out about this place when planning my 2023 trip. My friends ended up treating me to bottles and dinner and we had the absolute BEST experience. Both chefs (Alex x2) visited and one brought out a champagne gun for me and my friends. The food was seasoned to perfection which was really a surprise because I was expecting country club food (which we all know isn't the best) however, this did not disappoint. Made a TikTok of our experience (veuvepapi) if you want to watch. And the snowcat ride up is absolutely beautiful/scenic! Service was superb and they really made us feel welcomed.

I searched for a place to have a wonderful dinner in the Colorado mountains. I picked Zach's cabin because of the incredible reviews and pictures. Your evening starts from the ski resort and ride behind a snow cat in a sleigh to the restaurant. There are for lockers for your shoes to change into fur slippers. The food and service are amazing. The focus is on local Colorado cuisine. I always get the elk. It is made with different seasoning and side dishes each year. It is a beautiful experience for the family.

HOLY SLEIGH RIDE BATMAN! This was the absolute highlight of our stay at the Ritz Carlton in Beaver Creek! So my last night here, my gf and friends all decided to partake in a sleigh ride that took us high atop the mountain to the renowned Zach's Cabin! It was a bit cold and the snow was blowing, but soooo worth it! As soon as we stepped inside and hung our coats, we were escorted to a table in this beautiful mountain cabin! Super cool...rustic, fireplace, mountain décor! Loved it! So I can't exactly remember what my guests ordered, but I got the filet mignon and it was cooked to absolute perfection! Quite honestly one of the best filets I've had in a long time! In short, if you're up here and have the time I highly recommend the sleigh ride or coming to Zach's period! It's da BOMB!

Super cool experience with the sleigh ride up and down the mountain!! Server was super nice and the place was cozy inside. We went at night so we couldn't see the view overlooking the town but it was still nice to see all the lights. Food was super filling and good, so the price didn't matter!!

    What are recommendations for attire?

I saw dressy to casual but nice (no torn jeans or ski wear). If you go in the winter, it's important to dress warm since you'll be taking an open sled up the mountain.

Our server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with providing recommendations. We started off with the bread and fondue. The fondue was a big hit with our table, and the cheese was so tasty. The bread was also good, and had a nice unique taste. For mains I tried some of the following: -steak frites: delicious and cooked perfectly, and a huge portion of delicious fries -mussels: definitely a miss, and tasted a bit too salty and the sizes were pretty inconsistent -filet: amazing -mushroom ravioli: absolutely horrible, literally the worst ravioli I've ever had -cacio e pepe: sooo tasty, but tastes was more like carbonara vs a traditional cacio e pepe. I liked the presentation and really loved the pork too. I would definitely recommend sticking with the meats here, as the pasta and seafood were major misses (except the cacio e Pepe was amazing) Overall a solid option for a nicer meal, but not the greatest place ever.

We weren't asked if we wanted it split - this made it $25, which was not worth it. I opted for the table side cacio e pepe which was super cheesey and also had delicious pork belly blended in. My husband had the burger which was 2 larger patties combined - we only wished it could've been cooked more medium rare because the flavor of the meat had so much potential! We weren't hungry for dessert but the table next to us got a unique mason jar dessert that looked like it was packed with chocolatey goodness. My two stars go to the food and the view. The service was unfortunately abysmal tonight…read more We dined here tonight as hotel guests with two under two. We were seated at a table that already had a high chair, but it had pooled water which also had soaked the straps. I wiped up the water as best I could, but the straps were going to remain soaked for a long time. Upon asking our waiter for a new high chair, he said he would dry it off- we said the straps were soaked and he said not to worry about it, that he did this all the time. Well he dried off the chair and then covered the straps with a napkin. Sir, we needed the straps to strap our girl in! Anyway... My husband and I ordered the exact same thing- the chopped salad with salmon. Mine arrived with our daughter's pizza, and we asked if his salad was coming, and the waiter who dropped off the food said if we ordered it, yes. Umm ok. As I'm halfway through my salad, our original waiter checks in and says it should be coming. I'm now done with my salad and my toddler is done with her pizza. Waiter returns and says he's going to check with the kitchen. At this point, it's the kiddos' bedtime, so we ask them to make it to-go. Eventually the salad and the check arrive. Nothing is comped and no apologies are given. No excuses have been delivered... short staffed? Rough night? We get it! We didn't receive any reason for the delay. This could have gone SO differently if there was better communication. Upon receipt of the check, I asked if anything could be comped as my husband didn't get to eat. The waiter ended up comping his meal. I shouldn't have had to ask. So, eat, enjoy the view, anticipate poor service.

I consider myself a professional diner...meaning I am out 3-4 nights a week, and Northside Kitchen is my most favorite restaurant in the Vail Valley. I usually dine at the bar where either Connor or Brandon are not only offering service with a smile, but are also welcoming everyone who walks through the door! Their custom cocktails are awesome, but I go for their insanely extensive wine by the glass menu!! Caymus, Silver Oak, Duckhorn, Quilt, and about 40 other high end wines are all offered by the glass at Northside! Both 6oz and 9oz pours are available. The dining staff, are professional, pressed, and knowledgeable about wine, food, and professional fine dining service levels. The dining room offers beautiful white linen covered in butchers paper, with the perfect level of lighting to see both the menu and the guests you are dining with. The dining room and porch are modern and clean. The menu items, created by Chef Noah Bender, are delicious! Hand cut steaks and Prime Rib are favs, but don't be afraid to try their pappardelle Bolognese or the fantastic fresh "sea to table" black cod or trout! It's dynamite! You will find the service in the dining room attentive yet not overwhelming. Northside Kitchen to me is one of the most underrated fine dining restaurants in the Vail Valley!! This time I ordered the Schmidt Mac Burger with Parmesan Fries, while my wife had the Wagyu Reuben with a side salad. Every bite was delicious. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. After our meals were delivered, our server rarely checked back. We were never asked if we wanted another drink, and our water glasses sat empty long enough that we finally had to ask another server for refills. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it definitely wasn't the level of service you expect from a restaurant of this caliber. One thing to know before you go--the prices are on the higher side. My burger and Parmesan fries were around $33, so this isn't your average burger joint. That said, the quality of the food helps justify the price. Overall, the kitchen absolutely delivers, and that's why we'll be back. Hopefully this was just an off day for the service staff, because if the front of the house matched the outstanding food coming from the kitchen, Craftsman would easily earn five stars.
