The staff is great, the food is delicious one of the best in town, but the ammount of food you getting is very little for the price you are paying (specially the foie gras, i did not want to believe its size, do not order it). I have never got this tiny portion anywhere else before, on top of it, my tiny goose liver came out raw and bloody, so i had to ask them to cook it longer. They seem like being very much under staffed, so you will have to wait pretty long in btw courses, we spent there close to three hours to finish our dinner which is way too long time with little children. I guess with the small portions this is the only way guests do not to leave the place hungry.. Everything tasted delicious and the bone marrow we ordered extra - as it is not part of the menu from where you can order for their fixed price -, was best part of the meal, was so good, really worth ordering.. . Beanos Cabin is definitely a very special, celebratory type dining experience. You will take a snow cat led sleigh ride up the mountain about 20 minutes to reach the cabin. This was a very magical unique experience as it was snowing outside and felt like a winter wonderland. Upon entering Beanos, live music was playing, a fire was going, and complimentary champagne was received which was so nice! For the price of $220 a person that made it worth it. For the dinner itself, the food was very good but without the experience before it would have been a little upset to spend that on the dinner. The Foie Gras was the absolute stand out and wish I could have gotten that for my main too. The porkchop was also delicious. The Elk needed a little more sauce or something with it but was cooked well. Beanos is open even in the very cold conditions so plan accordingly if going to join them! read more

As grandparents, if our grandchildren are loud we will take them out of the restaurant to chill. Not here, very disappointed with this phenomenon. Ok to the food. It's price fix. We have 3 taking GLP meds and they won't allow sharing. There was a major issue with expediting. The quail tasted like was cooked at lunch. "Oh no, this dish comes straight from the fryer " They didn't seem to care it was cold. We ordered sea bass. Cold, twice. The dish tasted great, but why can't they get it from the kitchen to the table hot. Deserts need some work. The doughnut was horrible. One of our party ordered a mudslide, in essence it was a White Russian with some Baileys, $11 surcharge. WTF!! We mentioned these things to the server, it's not his fault. We spent $1800 on 4 people. What a disappointment, the host asked how our meal was. Don't ask if you are going to act like you don't care. I expected at least a manager come address this. Nope. Save your money. Every year we visit and it's always an amazing experience. You take the sleigh up and down the mountain which in itself is a lot of fun. Pre-covid they used to provide fuzzy slippers for their guests, hopefully this will return. Dinner is a five course meal, with vegan and vegetarian options. I've tried the trout, venison, and beef tenderloin entrees. The tenderloin is a must! Their pork belly app is also a must as is their flourless chocolate cake dessert. They usually have the special soup and a vegan option. The vegan option (tomato basil) was somewhat acidic the time I tried it but still good. You should try them for lunch or dinner of you're visiting Beaver Creek. read more

We choose Ahi Tuna Poke and Foie Gras Torchon to start followed by the Venison and Tenderloin with a bottle of Belle Glos ($100). We went with our server, Art's recommendations for dessert choices, dark chocolate coconut cheesecake and Carrot Cake. Quality was good and nice professional presentations. A great experience, but wildly overpriced! The kids have a set price meal. They get a starter (choice of fruit or salad) and entree (my kids chose pasta) and then a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. The price for each kid was $91!! And then they each got a mocktail that was $30 each! The adult menu was 5 courses for $189, which isn't quite as crazy, but the food wasn't very good. The soup everyone was served was three bean and it was completely underseasoned. I hardly ever add salt to my food, but this soup definitely needed it. The main courses were small and also underseasoned. And the desserts were flat out awful! I ordered the Bananas Foster bread pudding. The best way I can describe it is a Weight Watchers banana bread. It wasn't ooey or gooey. It didn't have any sauce or carmelization. Just dry banana flavored cake with a tiny dollop of whipped cream. My husband got the death by chocolate cake and it was also dry, heavy and not sweet. And the four kids got chocolate chip cookies with ice cream. Impossible to ruin, right? They all said there was something wrong with the cookies and the ice cream wasn't good. And these are not picky kids! I gave the restaurant 2 stars because the ambience is amazing! Beautiful cabin with a big fireplace and live music. If they could improve the food and maybe get the pricing in line with other nice restaurants, especially for the kids meal, it would be good. Beautiful fun experience going up the mountain by sleigh in a snow cat observing the stars in the night sky and Beaver Creek village below. If chilled, one can shield themselves with the provided parkas. Upon arrival to the summit, we entered a rustic ambiance complete with a huge stone fireplace generating wood heat and exposed log interior. To start, we enjoyed a smoky Manhattan followed by a glass of fine Bordeaux paired with a caviar sampler. The best of the bunch was the beluga and paddle fish. Did not care for the others and potato chips for dipping into the crème fresh was not optimal. Enjoyed the rich lobster bisque with chunks of meat, and warm hatch chili muffins. Main course elk strap, although elegantly plated and cooked perfectly, was bland and tough. Would not order again. My friend had the squash vegetarian dish which also left more to be desired. I'm all about paying up for the experience, and beenos, pre-2020 has always delivered, but take your money elsewhere now. Boarded the sleigh to 2" of snow on the seats and wet blankets, yet one worker on the sleigh working hard for gtatuity. Prep the sleigh if you'd like a nice $20 tip. No men's slippers in the coat room, and a front, customer facing, group of employees who couldn't care less. When my wife said there are no slippers and everyone's feet are wet, the women said that the slippers are for our clientele. Say what?? I'd say no to a repeat visit. read more

However, the waitress who was helping him with our waters and drinks saved the day. She was doing her best to make sure we were taken care of. Unsure where the lack of communication was between staff, but our meal took over 4 hours. We waited a record of an hour for our main course along with dessert (literally ice cream) taking 45 minutes to be served. Back to our duo wait staff, after one of our guests complained to the hostess and refused to return to dinner because of the lack of service, our original main waiter was seen yelling at our sweet waitress (who was the only one helping our table). The sled ride was fun for about 2 mins and after that it's was very uncomfortable and freezing up to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is on the mountain and has a cool ski lodge vibe. Food Poisoning. BEWARE! We dined here on December 12th 2023. After waiting to experience Beano's after many people raving about it, we unfortunately had a horrible experience! Leading up to the days before our reservation, we were notified through text, email and several phone calls to confirm our reservation. We were told that the sleigh would depart promptly at 7:15pm for our 7:30 reservation, and we needed to be there or it would not wait for us. We got there promptly and waited for another couple for 40 minutes to arrive. Already late for our reservation, we get to Beano's and our table still isn't ready, and we wait another 30 minutes in their lobby. Then much to our surprise, the couple we were waiting on down below gets seated before us at the same size 4-top table we were given. The waiter was very nice and the soup, salad and appetizer all came out great! Time for our main course and the filet that 2 of us had ordered med-plus was completely raw in the middle! It couldn't have even been cooked, just seared. We sent both of them back and it came back out 10 mins later with some sort of gravy poured all over it and it was still just as rare as it was previously. Again, I sent it back and by this time still no manager had come over to apologize or offer anything additional while I waited. The rest of the people in my party had already finished, as well as everyone else. The dining room was empty! The staff was shutting down the restaurant and resetting the tables for the next day, which made us feel like we were being rushed out. The atmosphere to which we had partially paid for, had diminished, as well as our dinner experience! My husband asked to speak with a manager and he came over apologetic offering to comp the meal, but he was also very condescending when we tried to speak. We explained to him that this was unacceptable in a restaurant of this caliber and price point, as I had yet to receive my entree and the restaurant is resetting for the next day. The kitchen was already shut down while he jumped to make them prepare another steak for me, which we declined at this point. It was close to 11pm at this time and our reservation was for 7:30! Still not having eaten dinner, we leave on the last sleigh along with several of the staff. My husband gets back to our room and feels very awkwardly sick. He starts vomiting violently and ends up with food poisoning from what we presume is the elk entree that he consumed. We had all had similar soup, salad and appetizers and everyone was fine except for him. He consumed a glass of red wine while he was there, and didn't finish it, but that was all that he had while dining. I would warn anyone after the experience we had at this place. It's one thing to have the first several events to take place but when you get violently ill from eating at a restaurant to the point that you almost go to the ER, is very concerning! I informed our concierge at our residence about the events of the evening and I would only hope that this helps prevent anything similar to happening to anyone else who dines here. I am very curious if there were others recently who have had the Elk and have also gotten sick! I hope this was a helpful review for many others who are thinking of dining at this establishment! read more

What an experience! My date and I attended with our other good friends (a couple) and their two kids. The cat ride was awesome! Sure it is cold and some snow may fly up but you have some hardly blankets in case this happens. The night time views of the mountains are beautiful and well worth it. The cabin is beautiful. The staff is hospitable and attentive. There is a large coat room for you to get settled and change into some slippers, if you'd like. There is a big fireplace in the center of the cabin if you need some extra warming up. The cabin has huge windows and an almost completely open kitchen. On top of Beano's being aesthetically pleasing there was a nice acoustic musician playing in the background. The food is awesome. I went for the pumpkin soup, winter salad, foie gras, venison, and lemon tart. The pumpkin soup blew my mind. It was the best pumpkin soup I've ever had. My date enjoyed his tomato soup, but definitely kept trying to get in on mine. I heard the pork belly was good, I enjoyed my foie gras and it paired nicely with the suggested sauternes; the tartar was amazing! BUT the venison, I could eat everyday of my life. The flavor of the rub was perfect and the meat was cooked perfectly all the way through, with the most wonderful smokey taste. I have had venison prior to this and it does typically taste much more gamey. The lamb was also delicious, but I'd get the venison all day. My tart was awesome, but my date beat me with his sticky toffee. It is an expensive dinner but it is worth it for the experience and the food is unforgettable. read more

I'm at such a loss for how to describe this beautifully laid out, yet over-hyped restaurant. Came to Beaver Creek on a couples trip. The boys planned this and basically told us to dress very, very, warm. We arrive to the meeting point and the sleigh aka snow tractor drove up. We were instructed to hop in and cover up with a poncho for the 20 minute ride. It has been snowing that evening so all the ponchos were soaked. I didn't know what kind of meal we were heading into, so at that point I didn't care. **TIP** Sit as close to the front wall of the tractor sleigh to avoid the wind hitting you from all directions. We arrived and the restaurant was WARM and beautiful. We piled into the slipper room - very cramped, only a handful of cubbies open, but I put on slippers to "get the experience". (Who knows how many other people had worn those slippers.........) Sitting down for the meal, we waited a good while for the server to greet us. This is when we got the full explanation of how the meal worked, and what were the best plates, etc. Looking back now, it felt like a cruise ship. Which makes me think the majority of the food was pre-prepared and sitting in a warming oven waiting to be picked. We asked to start off with Nickel & Nickel while we let a bottle of Silver Oak decant. The sommelier came back only to inform us THEY WERE COMPLETELY OUT OF SILVER OAK. And then BRAGGED that some other couple had just drank their last bottle the night before, and then tried to upcharge us to a $500 bottle we had never tasted before. Call me a snob, but it was very upsetting and a rookie mistake for them to be out of Silver Oak. We opted for Opus, but still very disappointing. He did his job, though, and guarded that Opus like a hawk while we let it decant. Now for the food....the soup was a black bean puree - it did not match with any of the salads or plates and I thought was a poor selection. The cornbread was fantastic. I wasn't impressed with either salad selection and wished they had offered a classic ceasar. There were several great appetizer selections - I had never tried Foie Gras and it was very unique! Definitely worth a try, but it is a small portion. My boyfriend loved his pork belly. The ravioli looked fantastic and my friend loved her oysters. As for the main course.....the pork chop was the most recommended on the menu and I straight up thought it tasted like shit. It was hard, chewy, and lacking flavor. I complained to my waiter, the bus boy, AND the sommelier and nothing was done to appease me. I ate two bites and was finished. Everyone else at the table agreed. My boyfriend really like the duck and one of our friends though the sea bass was awesome -I thought it was too fishy. Desserts were nothing to write home about. Overall, this dinner was definitely an "experience". I'm glad we went and even more proud the boys planned it....BUT when you spend almost $2000 on a dining experience for four people, you should NOT have to take a cold and wet 20 minute sleigh ride home back down the mountain. read more

Our team of servers were attentive and were incredibly helpful in pointing the three of us in the right direction to ensure we got the best of our five-course meal. I ended up with the split pea soup, winter salad, braised pork belly appetizer, venison for my entree, and the individual apple pie for dessert. Every aspect of the meal was phenomenal, but I was particularly blown away by the pork belly and venison. I was hesitant to order the latter as I don't usually eat game meat, but it was amazing. While this is definitely a special occasion restaurant, it is absolutely worth the splurge if you're able to. On December 12th I suffered food poisoning from the food at Beanos cabin. On December 13th while set to depart the Ritz, we had to extend our stay by one night due to my constant diarrhea On December 14th my wife emailed Ben Christie the GM to inform him of this experience On December 21st after not hearing anything we replied to the email On December 22nd we heard from James Gail of Beaver Creek with a list of questions On December 22nd, hours later we got back to this email with answers On December 31st after not hearing anything back after emailing 3 times, we submitted a charge back On January 1st, Beanos accepted the chargeback & closed the dispute On January 11th Beanos MANUALLY ENTERED my credit card information UNAUTHORIZED, WITHOUT APPROVAL and charged it. (FRAUD) 1. Beanos stores credit card information insecurely and without proper data storage protections 2. This is a fraudulent charge and will be reported as such 3. You charged us $80 for a kids meal where RAW salmon was served to a 3 year old 4. Ben Christie the GM knew our daughter was under 4 (kids supposed to eat free) yet we were charged 5. The kids salmon was taken off the check due to rawness and fish bones rather than being free as stated on Open Table 6. You gave me food poisoning which twisted my bowels inside out for over 24 hours 7. There is another guest who also had food poisoning the SAME night. December 12th, 2023 8. I will be reporting you to (however not limited to) The Colorado attorney generals office regarding fraud & consumer data protection, American Express, Eagle County Public & Environmental Health Department, & the Colorado department of Public Health & Environment 9. OK, I have to be honest about this awful experience in the interest of saving anyone else from the miserable time I went through. Let's start at the beginning: We were told our reservation was at 8:30 and to be there to take the snowcat up at 8PM. We did not even LEAVE until 8:45. The ride up the mountain was the absolute most miserable cold me and my group experienced. It was COLD. You are taken up the mountain on an uncovered snowcat with cold, wet "blankets" to put around you. The ride is 15 minutes of TORTURE. On the plus side, the restaurant itself is lovely, and you're greeted with a glass of sparkling when you get in. As far as the food? YUCK. I'm sorry, it's not good. I have dined at this price point before plenty of times so I'm not some cheapo. The food is simply not good. Soup and salad was good but then again how can you mess up soup and salad? An assortment of appetizers wasn't much better. Got some bison tartare which was fine (again how can you mess up tartare), but multiple people got the Crudo with some awful fish we all hated. The ONLY thing that was good was the meat plate we added on as an appetizer. My table got an assortment of main courses, and nobody liked theirs. I personally got the game hen which came slathered in some awful sauce and lukewarm. I traded with my buddy across from me who got the elk. It was fine, but again lukewarm, and plated on some other awful sauce. His girlfriend got the fish which was WAY overcooked. I had a taste. It was terrible. The desserts are also awful as well. So what you're left with is multiple courses of food that is mediocre to BAD. Again, not complaining about price because I'm not a bum, but the tab came up to $300 a piece for this "meal." An absolutely miserable experience for that price point. Nobody was happy and absolutely NOBODY in my party of 8 will ever opt for this "experience" again. There are many, MANY places around to get a better quality meal than this. I expect that these people expect Beano's to be a tourist trap because I can't imagine that they get repeat customers, so it doesn't seem like they care all that much about food quality. I honestly, honestly would not recommend this place. I was not angry or rude. I actually found the experience so bad as to be comical. I will remember it FOREVER - but not in a good way! read more

The best thing about Beano's is the experience. Although a bit cliche, riding up in the sleigh with snowfall and entering a warm, cabin-like space with wood-burning fires, live music and a dressing room to get comfy (slippers & all); it is charming adventure. Unfortunately, the food falls very short of anything spectacular. It's pricey and uninspired. At the end of the meal, it really felt like an overpriced resort, hotel restaurant in which you're left feeling spiritless. The only redeeming menu item this night was the Bison Ribeye. The salmon was incredibly salty, inedible, which was a bummer considering it was highly recommended by the waiter as Chef Erving is from Seattle. It was really horrible. The soups were pureed and mediocre at best, the salad was a very modest portion--maybe overly sweet with actually cane sugar on top, the broccolini was stinky with what felt like canned mushrooms and the oysters fishy. The dessert was another lame note, the only thing I truly enjoyed was the grapefruit sorbet with the chocolate cake. The toffee pudding sounded 1000x better than the product. The table was a fan of the lemon tart. Really just a whomp whomp eating night, luckily our feet were comfy in slippers and we enjoyed the live music. Food was decent. However, the waiter there got nasty with us when we wanted to order a glass of wine and not a bottle ... because his tip would be smaller I guess. People at tables by us were ordering $200 bottles which I think was what he expected. It was still over $300 for the meal but he got all upset over us not ordering bottles of wine, didn't come back to check on us after we got our meal and just set our bill down and left without saying anything. read more

We had a great dinner last night at Beano's. The evening was an experience. The food was very good. It is a price fix meal, which includes a freezing and fun sleigh ride to and from the dining room. The sleigh ride master was hilarious and courteous. They provide blankets on the sleigh ride - yet the blankets had ice on some of them. It is an expensive night. We had a waitress who was very professional and personal. My daughter had a cross-contamination allergic reaction and the restaurant handled the post reaction very professionally as well. They were very concerned about our daughter and how to avoid it in the future. They comped our daughter's meal-which was the right move. The menu was varied and delicious. The sommelier was super qualified and entertaining. I highly recommend - for a run experience. The restaurant is physically beautiful - like a log cabin. I gave it a 4 star just because of the cross-contamination food reaction - which they promised they would do re-training in the kitchen, etc. read more

Beano's is more than just the food, it is in large part the experience. After checking in at the base of the mountain at C Bar, you ride in a 30 person open-air sled that is pulled by a snow tractor for 10 minutes up the mountain to a secluded log cabin with amazing views. Once inside you are warmed by a large wood-burning fire place, and you have the option to put on a pair of Acorn slippers to keep your feet warmed. The menu is a 5-course treat including soup, salad, app, entree and dessert. I have been fortunate enough to dine at Beano's twice and I have greatly enjoyed the experience. It is not the best food I have ever had, but it is definitely very good. Is the whole experience worth the money? Maybe, maybe not, but I have heard friend question whether French Laundry was worth it. I think is is worth doing at least once, then making up your own mind if you want to return. read more

This was truly one of the Top Ten meals I've ever had. The service was spectacular; every server I encountered made me feel like I was the most important VIP who had ever entered Beano's. But it is the food that will have me back again and again. A five-course masterpiece (truly) that had me speechless. From the light and breezy melon soup, to the fresh garden (right behind the cabin) salad, to a porchetta appetizer that was unreal, to the most tasty piece of elk chop (I could have eaten the porterhouse size pork dish, too), to an insanely fresh pie dessert - it was a pointed, deliberate series of choices by a chef who is a master. Every single bite was majestic, and my table of 10 was stunned by how fabulous the evening turned out. Highly highly recommended! read more
