We're very disappointed with the service. We arrived at 7:42pm and they refused to service, since they full and we had no reservation. we asked if we could wait for a table, which they told us we couldn't either. Voice to text so forgive the errors. Atmospherically this place looks sweet but it sounds like shit. There is nothing to absorb any sound whatsoever. Could barely hear the person next to me and that matters.The pizza sure is good and the prices are in line with what good pizza costs. Unfortunately our appetizer and two of our three salads were pretty disappointing. Some sort of deep fried egg plant that was under seasoned and cold. My salad was almost all radicchio and had a bitter dressing to boot. The thing was beautiful but I couldn't get to a quarter of it was so tart. As an Italian-American, I rarely look forward to going out for Italian food. As anyone who grew up in any Italian home will tell you "nothing beats Mama's (insert food here)!" After visiting this place for the first time this past Wednesday night, I have to say I simply CANNOT stop talking about the food as well as the overall experience. I was so into the presentation and the quality that I forgot to take pictures or even check in. However, I have to say the meatballs are TO DIE FOR! Without a doubt one of THE BEST I have EVER had! Try these! You will NOT regret it! Side note: loved this appetizer so much I ordered my own order to take home - true story... We also ordered the grilled smoked mozzarella app for the table as well. It was equally as good in its own right. I had the pappardelle alla campania and it was heaven on a fork! The braised pork was incredible in an amazing red sauce and the pappardelle was cooked perfectly. Service was good but not great. Food was second to none. While I absolutely love the look and feel of this very comfortable place, it was a bit loud. None of this detracted from the solid five stars this place is most certainly deserving of.. Stopped in to celebrate my daughter's graduation. We had an 8:30 reservation and were seated promptly at 8:30. Lucy V was our server and was personable, funny and timely. This restaurant is a f@$king joke. We ordered 5 pizzas and only received 4 of them. Their wedge salad came looking like a dead fish and they said it was wood fired but it is never stated on their menu as being wood fired. Lastly, I called to get the order corrected but the manager had an attitude and told me to deal with what I received. The quality and customer service of this establishment is sub-par to say the least. If it wasn't the only restaurant open in Scranton they would go out of business. Keep this review simple. Specialty drinks spot on, beer selection was decent something for everyone. Meatball app. excellent. Tried two different pizzas. Very tasty but a bit undercooked crust soggy in center wouldn't hold toppings as it should. The ends could of been little more crispy, a bit tough, think they worked the dough to much. Deserts where very good. Service and staff super nice and professional. Definitely would go back but maybe try a weekday see if pizza is better. Was in town on business. Came to the restaurant by myself and was pleased with the food and atmosphere. I had the pizza that was on special. It had crabmeat and artichokes. The crust was perfect and the taste was incredible!! So glad that I ventured out to get this wonderful dinner. The service was awesome too. My waitress couldn't have been more attentive! Fantastic pizza, drinks, and absolutely great service. We went the other night and we're there when a fundraiser for Toys for Tots was happening. The wine maker, Freddie, personally greeted us and introduced himself and the wines we tried for tremendous. Our waiter was outstanding and confident enough in his knowledge to recommend options and even chose a wine for me! Their pizza, the Scrantonian, is likely my favorite part though. First time in Scranton and we were looking for a good Italian restaurant. I'm happy to report that the Yelp reviews were accurate. The pizza reminded me of the quality of pizza in Italy. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My only concern was the tomato sauce for the spaghetti dish-- a bit disappointing as it tasted like canned sauce. I'm a fan but feel like their place on 315 is 100% better. I feel like their location downtown is catering to a different crowd and lacking in comparison. The charcuterie is outstanding and worth going back a zillion times for. That being said, I feel like the service is lacking, the portions are incredibly small and the prices for their tiny portions are just not so exquisite in taste that they should have that price for whats practically a tappa. We made reservations, and was seated promptly when we arrived. Our server (can't remember his name) was very knowledgeable of the menu, and told us the specials. We got the honey whipped ricotta for an appetizer, and it was better then we could've ever expected. 10/10. I had the short rib special, and my wife had the roasters chicken with ricotta gnocchi. Both were excellent. For drinks, I had the Italian margarita, and the jalapeño martini, again, both excellent. The manager Dominic came over and checked on us a couple times, and was very attentive to our questions. Overall, would highly recommend!! read more

Living in NYC for 15 years and traveling for my job, I consider myself well versed in pizza and meatballs. I had to do a show in Scranton and used Yelp to see if there was a decent place to satisfy my yearning for some Napoletana pie. I could tell just by the pictures this place was for real. There was a 30 minute wait but it was a Saturday at 6 pm so that's too be expected. It was well worth the wait. The meatballs were as good as you can get! Really really tasty pork, veal and beef smothered in some fantastic San Marzano sauce. The pizza was also delicioso!!! Chewy crust with great fresh mozzarella. Bar Pazzo is the hero we didn't even know we needed in downtown Scranton. Bangin' wine and cocktail list, upscale yet casual atmosphere, prompt and attentive service, and NOTHING LIKE the other 120 mediocre Italian restaurants in NEPA. The menu changes very slightly with the seasons, but I like that because their options never disappoint. The meatballs are huge and perfectly cooked. The tasting of three pastas (which is essentially a pasta flight!) is my go-to. I also love their kale Caesar salad. They have brunch on Sundays which is a huge bonus. They only take reservations for larger parties (I believe 8 or more), but honestly they are really good at getting people served and out of there at a relatively speedy pace. read more

A MUST EAT AT IF IN TOWN!!!! This place is amazing. We had the meatball appetizer which was to die for. We also had the whipped ricotta appetizer which also tremendous. Our main course was a beet salad which my girlfriend loved. I had the margarita pizza which was good. We came here after quadding at lost trails which is only 5 miles away. The decor inside the restaurant is amazing, the ambiance is awesome and it's comfortable. I am coming here every time we're near Scranton Pa!!! read more

Margherita Pizza was good though it wouldn't be the first choice of Mozzarella I would use for this type of place. Beet salad A+.
