Keep this one on your list of great Italian spots in downtown Scranton, PA! The menu is upscale yet not pretentious at all. Drinks are superb and unique, and the service is attentive and warm. Win win win!!! We had to make a reservation since we had a larger party so I would highly recommended doing that because on an early weekend evening, it filled up quickly. We had a wide variety of dishes at our table and every single one was a hit, including the rigatoni vodka, Margherita pizza, (shared by two) and the best Caesar salad (big enough to share three ways!) any of us had ever tried. Alas, I was enjoying our family time so much that I didn't get enough pictures but trust me, you need to come indulge in a meal here ASAP! Beware that parking is an issue. We were here during a street festival and road construction so we had to be creative and park kinda far away past all the blocked streets. The silver lining is we walked off a little of our amazing dinners!

Fantastic food for a decent price. Only "problem" is Tony the bartender was not a good source for portion size - he underestimated all the sizes! The meatballs and cannoli were much bigger than he guessed! Delicious and we WILL be back.

Way more than just pizza ! There were 4 of us so we had a chance to sample various things. The place itself is large and alive but the noise level is not overwhelming. The Crispy Wood-oven Duck Wings served on a Polenta Waffle with 5 spice was delicious as well as different. And speaking of different, how about a Mexican Street Corn Pizza with Cotija Cheese which was recommended by our fun and knowledgeable server Gavin. It was delicious. When Gnocchi was ordered he cautioned that it was not the usual take on this dish but a Roman Gnocchi made with semolina, egg, cheese and butter. The topping was unique and the total dish amazing. Both the Wood Oven Roasted Spanish Octopus with Castelvetrano Olives and Golden Raisins as well as Prime Pork Rib Chop Calabrese with Fried Onions and Charred Shishitos were both excellent. A place definitely to try.

Delicious! Finally made reservations to this place and they did not disappoint. We will be returning to try their other items in the menu.

Such a cute spot! We only stopped in for drinks, which were amazing, but I can't wait to go back to try their brick oven pizza!

Pizza was amazing. Service was as usual as you wood expect. The vibe was killer. They seated our big party and we got lots of pizza. Highly recommend

My bad pic of the light amazing onion soup. We started to eat and realized we didn't snap a photo. Whoops. But it was so good!

This place is so good! It will be hard to find a place to too this. From the moment we got there the staff were so welcoming and nice. The atmosphere is great for date night, family visiting out of town, a family special event, or a girls night out. The decorations are shabby chic/modern abstract. The food! The food! Worth every penny and bite. Hats off to the Chef who I would love to meet. The food was light, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. We will be looking forward to our next visit. Hubby always looking for the good and bad wanted to make sure I noted that although this location is amazing don't look up! He found it to need a good cleaning from dirt and dust above eye level. Eye level down super clean.

    Do they take reservations?

    Yes

    Any gluten free options?

The menu is available on their website - take a look. Many items are obviously "gluten free" but of course you'll want to ask your server. I would expect that most of the items that don't specifically mention "bread" in some form including polpette,…

    Are there vegan options?

No (unless alcohol is vegan). It's possible they can do something without dairy, but I wouldn't count on it. The full menu is available on their website so you can easily get an idea of what they *MIGHT* be able to adapt. If you choose to go be…

We split 3 appetizers, the grilled octopus, duck and one other, took some home, entrees were the gnocchi and flat iron steak, both were excellent, have seen reviews that the portions were small but we did not find that to be true also some reviews said you did not get complimentary bread at the table but again that was not true also. Yes it is expensive but if you want a fine dining experience that is unique in our area then this is the place to go.

The bad: this point has to do with their automatic gratuity system. Nothing to do with the kitchen. I am not sure if anything over a party of 4 gets automatic tip, but it falls apart here: the bottle list. We ordered a bottle of wine. $115. Total cost with tax and gratuity is $143. That's $27 over the cost of the actual bottle. Or a 20% tip roughly. And they probably calculated the tip post tax. Had I known that I would not have ordered a bottle. Now for the arguments of "serving a bottle involves some labor that should be compensated ". Let's do the math. The cheapest bottle they have is 60$. If you were to charge gratuity and tax on this bottle it would be $76.20. That's only $16.30. Not a bad price right? Given the service of opening said bottle and pouring it. BUT... The most expensive bottle they have is $360. If you order that bottle, you will be paying an extra $97.20. That is a huge markup. And if I'm missing something, tell me how the service on a $360 bottle is different than the service on a $60 bottle. Does the server come out with a little song and dance for the more expensive one justifying an additional $97.20 on a $360 bottle of wine? Do you realize how absurd this is? My guess is that the owners don't realize the point I'm trying to make- to give them the benefit of the doubt. That is the best situation. The worst is if the owners know this, and are fleecing the customers. I'd like to believe this is not the case. To sum up: go for the food. Order wine by the glass. DO NOT order bottle service. You will be in for a nasty surprise. The average markup for A bottle of wine is 3x the amount in a restaurant. Retail my bottle was $45. I know this. And if it's $115, that's fair. After all the restaurant makes more money on liquor sales than food. I'm okay with that. But what I find reprehensible is that they charge a service fee on top of that. Which by my calculation is 20%. Therein lies the fallacy. The same 20% charge is applied to the cheapest to most expensive bottle. The effort made to open and serve said bottles are exactly the same! They don't disclose this practice to the patrons. I've run this by multiple people I know. They all say this practice is shady as hell. Enough said, go for the food. Don't get a bottle of wine.

We arrived right at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday as they were opening, and everything from the service to the food exceeded our expectations. Our server, Michelle, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made excellent recommendations. They had several daily specials that all sounded amazing. We started with the cheese fries, which instantly brought back nostalgic memories, they were simple, comforting, and absolutely delicious. For our meals, my husband ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad, topped with two large hand-breaded chicken tenders tossed in mild sauce with blue cheese dressing. My daughter loved her 6-cut Red Pizza, which arrived perfectly crispy and full of flavor. I ordered the wings, fried to perfection and served with mild sauce and blue cheese. On Michelle's recommendation, my son went with the Breakfast Burger, and wow! It was enormous and incredibly juicy. Every bite was outstanding. If you're anywhere near the area, do not sleep on this place! Their slogan says "Almost Famous," but I honestly don't think they'll be "almost" for much longer.
