Was able to drop in yesterday and check out G&M's warehouse near Idle Hours South in Scranton. I have been meaning to come here for nearly a year now and finally had a day where I could line it up. I love cooper sharp cheese for cheesesteaks so I began trying it on other things and realized I love it on breakfast sandwiches and burgers too. When someone told me the burgers here were great and I saw one on their menu with Cooper Sharp, it was on like donkey Kong ... or just a fat hungry guy ‍ The Cooperstown Burger was a bacon cheeseburger with caramelized onions using cooper Sharp. It was served on a brioche roll and I added the pickles from the side to the burger. I opted to add fries and cole slaw to the plate (I believe that was a $4 upcharge). This is a burger you should try...like yesterday. I have been wanting to try this place since I heard the owner moved from the bowling alley, but just haven't had time. I was finally able to get there and wow, have I been missing out. The cheesesteak and the italian sub is amazing and huge! We also got mozzarella stick and cheese with gravy fries, and we were very impressed. Food is edible and over priced. Wait times are very long and there weren't many people there. Owner is arrogant.

Stopped in for lunch. Large portions. I had a "small"salad that was enormous. Fresh ingredients. The sandwiches are piled high. Definitely need two hands to handle the sandwiches and burgers. Very efficient and accommodating staff. Can't wait to try breakfast on my return trip. read more

We were in search of a "genuine" cheesesteak. I never thought we'd find that at a food counter in an old bowling alley. From the outside, it didn't look like we were even in the right place. But good googly moogly, that food counter is all about the food! I don't know who G&M are, but I want to shake their hands. They know what their customers want, and they serve it up with no fuss. I think this place is best known for their burger. This is what our host ordered. It looked good--a big burger with a ton of cheese and all the right toppings. It really is too much to finish. But the star of the show (for me, anyway) was my cheesesteak sandwich. It was everything I'd hoped it would be: a big roll full of finely cooked steak, melted cheese, and maybe some onions thrown in for good measure. Whoever was working that grill is an artist. All of this food goodness was framed by the acoustically soft and soothing sounds of falling bowling pins in the background. In some strange way, this was simply right. I hope we get to visit again. Thought we'd try this place out for breakfast. Went there with my fiancé, daughter and my mother. Upon arriving there were about 6 tables full. We placed our order, and made sure to order a pancake for my three year old so she could eat first. As we waited the restaurant began to get a little more busier. 45 minutes later still no breakfast and other people that came in after us started getting their food before we did. When we got it it was so greasy, they messed up my finances order by giving her greasy hashbrowns instead of home fries and they didn't bring my daughter's pancake out first like we asked. $42 and was not impressed. They don't know how to make scrambled eggs. Scramble literally means scramble, not fold. One cook and he was slower than my grandma. Not worth the money in my opinion for breakfast. Noticed they had an Italian hoagie on the menu for $12...I'm sorry but you are a business in Scranton, if you can't keep a Italian hoagie under $8 you are doing something wrong. read more

Was gifted two gift certificates went inside to order was told it was for dine in only. Fine print states different. Even offered to stay there why he made it. Made no real difference and was going to tip the waitress anyway. Terrible business practices to get people into a business. Was also told it was because he doesn't make anything on it. Well then why put these certificates out to people to purchase. Seems like a trick just to get people in. Wont be back ever they told me to contact the place where they where bought for a refund. G&M used to be the AMAZING! They changed their fries... Now they are frozen with a slice of american cheese on them. I understand restaurants having wait times... but an hour and 40 minutes for a baked ham and cheese and fries? That is a little insane. After a year of hearing about this place I finally checked it out. HOLY S***! The burgers are huge and really good. I've been back several times, trying different things each time and I can honestly say I've never had a meal that was even close to being sub-par. Visited on a Sunday night...cook was obviously overwhelmed. Told us he "had a ton of phone orders" prior to our sitting down and seemed exhausted. Still, we were expectant after seeing all the reviews. The burger was by no means "huge" and was just ok..... the steak sandwich, while good, was in no way as big as other reviewers have described.
