Pizza House is a totally right part of the name for Maroni's as this is indeed a house in the middle of a neighborhood like they have next door neighbors I found this whole location to be quite interesting as this is just something you don't always see. So on with the pizza! Of the options I went with a Square with pepperoni and onions my favorite it was ready at the promised time which was perfect as I was just passing through here. We took our pizza to a park and ate it the pizza was interesting as well but yummy all to it's own as the cheese was something like I've never had before it was like a liquid cheese mixed with mozzarella but still good in it's own unique way! The pepperoni was yummy and had a decent amount of them all over the square pie making for almost some in every bite. The only short fall here was the crust as it wasn't the best I've had but that interesting cheese sauce made up for it as I dunno I just kinda was like totally into it!

This pizza didn't look as good as it actually tasted. I asked for extra sauce and couldn't see it but could definitely taste that and the unique cheesiness. The service was also great they called me in less time quoted to pick up the pie. The prices are very reasonable too. The only reason why they lose a star is because pepperoni was accidentally placed on two slices and that could've been a horrible day had we not noticed it prior to eating.

Grilled cheese pita bread pretending to be pizza. Absolutely no sauce.

Had to throw out because it's literally a grilled cheese sandwich on pita bread. I ate two slices hoping I'd like it, but I honestly don't, I don't like grilled cheese so out it goes. There's no sauce, just a flat bread grilled cheese sandwich pretending to be a pizza. Meatballs were good, the only thing that resembled pizza I guess. Made a Red Barons personal pizza and added the salvaged meatballs. I'd give it a zero, but the topping was good. Never again.

I ABSOLUTELY LIVE Moroni's pizza. I HAVE BEEN EATING HERE SINCE I was little. Now 3 generations later I still enjoy this hometown staple.I moved away 15yrs ago however, visit Scranton at least 2/3 times a year and I always make sure we have pizza night with Moroni's.I even order trays to take back home... I just love it

We were looking for a local pizza place (we aren't from Scranton) after doing the local Buddy Walk on a Sunday afternoon. When we walked in, the place was empty but the staff behind the counter was very busy at work, so we figured they did a pretty good take out business. We sat in the very chilly, very outdated dining room. I'm guessing they don't get many people who dine-in. The menu is very small, they offer pizza (square and round) and some subs. We ordered a round with sausage and pepperoni and a second round with half plain and half onion and sausage. It was brought out in a timely manner and was very hot. The cheese was very soupy and we had to let it cool a bit so the entire top didn't slip off when taking a piece. We didn't care for it at all. It just wasn't for us. The cheese is an American cheese mixed with sauce and like I said, it had a very soupy consistency. They did have a steady stream of folks coming in for take out so obviously it's for some people!

Homemade sausage, pepperoni and mushroom, amazing!

Great local pizza joint serving old forge style pizza. Was our first intro to this style and we loved it! Sauce was outstanding, little sweet which we like. Got one 1/2 blend cheese 1/2 moz. 1 kid loved the blend, other loved the moz. We enjoyed both but actually preferred the moz. Use real moz, not the fake plastic kind. Very cheesy, couldnt stop eating it! Crust is also very light and crisp on the bottom, not nearly as heavy as regular thick crust. Also ordered a pepperoni, sausage and mushroom with blend which was our fav! Sausage is homemade and prob the BEST sausage we've ever had on a pizza! Pepperonis were also thick and really good. Quality ingredients, great service, pies came out in 25 mins from call in. Bonus they have RC cola!! Def recommend!

If you like your pizza with Bulgur and BALONEY Then honestly your pizza fave is a PHONY But if you like greasy cheese and PEPPERONI Then you need to get right down to MARONI If you're getting a little bit BONY And you're sick of pizzerias named Gino and TONY And if you wanna be more stuffed than a CALZONE Get yourself here, come down to MARONI Ginuwine eats here then rides his PONY The Ute loved it, so did Apache and SHOSHONE This is where to spend all your ALIMONY Get yourself down, right now, to MARONI Forget your Kraft boxed day-glo MACARONI Forget calorie counting and that SANCTIMONY Listen to my expert TESTIMONY The best pizza in the region is at MARONI You wanna get joined in MATRIMONY? You wanna get pizza for your CEREMONY? You want some yummy slices with your CANNELONI? Get yourself here, right now, to MARONI Only Moronis don't love Maroni's. A special place for me because I took the love of my life here 10 years ago when on tour in Eastern PA, and she loved it, and befriended the owner. 10 years later, I took her back here, and she remembered it, and loved the pizza just as much, even though he didn't remember her. What to get: Slices of pizza for a dollar! And they're so so so so good. What not to get: Put off by how ancient Scranton, or this place, is. Named after the band Maroni 5, their lead singer invented this pizza before he became famous singing about Payphones, Jagger, and shooting his girl and her secret lover because, well, he "had to." Half of his tattoos are actually of this pizza. You learn something new every day. One of the most unique and delicious pizzerias in the whole nation. You can't get much better than this place. Absolutely delicious cheap squares of Scranton style (aka Old Forge style) savoury salty tomato-heavy rich Pizza which will give you a pizzagasm if you like real homemade style All American Pizza (made with American cheese rather than Mozz, giving it a very unique taste that is peculiar and native to this region). Nobody else makes it as good as Maroni. If you don't give them 5 stars, I can't with you. They've been here for a long long time (kinda like your mother at my place) and you can see why. The owner is a really good guy, even though employees sometimes don't get along with each other. Definitely an old-time classic, with emphasis on old, much like most of Scranton, really. They're still selling slices for under a dollar - which is insane considering how good they taste. Yes they are small, but come on, so is your boyfriend. When you see how busy and popular they are, there's no doubt that Maroni is the pizza favourite of the region, and it's a crime and an absolute travesty that there are not more reviews for this little Scranton gem on the back streets of this timelessly old haunted northeastern Pennsylvania city. If you only eat one thing in the region, it should be Maroni's Pizza. If you get the second thing from Coney Island of Scranton but this is by far the winner for this District. And by the way, if you give this delicious legend, by far the best version of this local specialty, competing against all the chains and trendy suburban places and lasting the test of time, less than a 4 star rating? You're Yelping it wrong. Foolish Yelpers often dismiss this COLDLY With words that are dumb and stares so STONY But there's no way to try this pizza REMOTELY So get yourself over and try MARONI If you're really hungry and feeling LONELY If your wife or hubby is just your TROPHY If your local slices taste too HOMELY Come right down and try MARONI Forget the local burgers, but do try a CONEY They speed over here like Axel FOLEY Let that pizza in like you're a bad GOALIE Because no other slice is better than MARONI So listen up, and listen CLOSELY I'm the best Pizza expert on here, MOSTLY Go where no Yelper has gone before, BOLDLY Come and try the slices from MARONI WHAT

In all of my 32 years, this was literally the best buffalo chicken pizza I've EVER eaten! I actually wiped off some of the sauce to begin, fearing that it would be the stereotypical salty, vinegar-forward buffalo sauce. I regretted my decision: It was an ever-so-pleasant, slightly sweet, based, mild buffalo sauce. The pizza actually has thin slices of breaded chicken as a topping. I've never found a buff chic pizza that had chunks of baked, well-seasoned, thinly-sliced, breaded chicken tenders on top. It reminds me of what you'd find at a place like Ninas on their breaded hot wing hoagie; with a very similar sauce profile. This wouldn't be a true pizza review if I didn't note any critiques. The Dough was definitely homemade but it was slightly under done for my liking *I do understand they were pumping out hundreds to trays during the festival. The only aspect of this keeping it from being a 9.5+ slice was a little char on the undercarriage. A little color mixed with the breaded chicken and phenomenal sauce would take both the pizza's overall rating and its aesthetic/presentation to the next level! Well done Electric City Pizza! I scarfed it down so quick, I didn't get a chance to take a photo

Tons of events and trivia in their schedule for folks looking for a night out on weekdays or weekends. The interior is mildly psychedelic with music. The food was fine. We got the burger and nachos. I was between giving 3 and 4 stars. Service was slow but the venue was busy, there was an event, and the night crew was picking up when we were there. The buffalo chicken nachos were fine. We appreciated the crispiness of the tortilla chips and the excellent cheese sauce that was well-distributed on the chips. There was tomato among other veggies that I do not remember. The chicken was fine for me on a cut. However, it had the texture of boiled chicken which I wasn't a huge fan of. Still had to get my protein in. I really enjoyed the burger. The bun was a soft potato roll. The patty was a little cooler. Between a cold burger and soggy nachos I certainly would choose the cool burger. This was made up for with the large volume of burger that was deliciously crispy. The pickles accompanied the burger with a secret mayo-based burger sauce. If warm, it could be a 5/5 burger. Overall, the experience was fine. I would go here on a week day rather than 6 on Friday, though.
