At one time this was one of my favorite spots for pizza. The thick crust was light and airy and crisp as well as flavor full. The sauce was tangy and plentiful. The cheese was just right and while the service could be slow at least the product was good. Over the past year the product has changed dramatically and not in good way. It has become dry and tasteless. The ingredients used seem to be second rate and they even made the pies smaller. I've been going to this place forever but no more. Oh the service has only gotten worse. I do like thick crust pizza from time to time and this place used to be one of the best now I think it's the bottom of the barrel. read more

The pizza is terrible and burnt so bad you can't even eat it and the sauce what sauce barely any on it.

After reading the cleanliness reviews I have to say this place was extremely clean (no issues like described from past reviews). However the one star is because this pizza used to compare between Victory Pig and Pizza L'Oven for years and years, but when we took our order home it was extremely dry and just not good at all. I wasn't going to leave a review but my email kept asking for one.....soooo here it is. Hope they get better (back to what they were), but we won't know because I can't afford to waste money again. read more

I really wish I could give their pizza a 5, but I can't sure to how filthy it was in there. Taste wise, their pizza is phenomenal. It's a geat bang for your buck. The staff is, also, very nice. It's a thick square that is light and crunchy. With our without onions, it's a good tasting pizza. I CANNOT give it a good rating due to the amount of filth I found while sitting there. The table top itself was fine. I'm talking about the crack of the seat being piled with food. The floor has dirt/grease stains sticking out from, and on, the lower part of the walls. The seats that were just sitting in the back for extra seating were just plain dirty. There was sauce splatter on the walls that was not from the time period before me eating. It was dry, and I could not get it off with a dry napkin. The outside of the shakers at the tables were dirty themselves. It's almost as if they learned nothing of cleanliness from the time period of COVID. If this is the area that people see, it kind of scares me to actually look into the kitchen to see how filthy it more than likely is due to their lack of care for the actual visible part of their store. Food was terrible. Take out order. Pork barbecues were a special and they were rancid. Pizza was not even edible. Everything was thrown away and my mother did the same with hers. 2 separate orders. I will never return. Used to be so good. Service was ok. Place is small but enough room to dine in if you choose to do so. read more

Oh, this was tasty stuff but perhaps choosing the sausage for lunch was a bad idea. My tummy was unhappy for hours and I got to enjoy the sausage a few times over and over. Which is not to say that it was bad. It was good! It was just a little (a lot) greasy. Pizza in NEPA isn't "slices" they're "cuts." And the pizza isn't a "pie", it's a "tray." Sizzle Pi has been brought to the office for takeout a couple of times, but today we popped over for lunch and they had a great lunch special of 7 cuts with topping for only a few bucks. Tried sizzle pi for the first time. But white pizza and red pizza. Both were over cooked and as hard as a rock. Hardly any cheese. Won't be ordering again. Many better fried pizza places in the area. read more

If you could get the pizza it's very good...... the problem is in actuality getting it. They apparently only answer the phone for people they know. You have to go in to actually be able to order and then be ignored while the staff eats in front of you and talks to their friends about how they should shut the phones off. This pizza is great. My boyfriend introduced me since he has been eating it since he was very young with his family. Now our family loves it too!!! I just wish that it was open more since when we usually get a craving for it its not open :(. Other than that, I love everything about this pizza!! Great sauce, not too much cheese or grease. Sizzle Pi is a delicious local choice for fresh, delicious square pizza! I wouldn't call it Sicilian or Old Forge style, but I really don't think that's what they're going for. Let's talk about the food first. The pizza is delightful. It is a fried pizza, with delicious dough, which makes the pizza. The cheese is goo, crust is delish. As for the sauce, it has onions in it I'm unsure if you can get it without, but they give it a great flavor. I've had the hoagies, which are quite large and great for a small price. The only reason I'm giving Sizzle Pi 4stars is due to the in house dining situation, and bathrooms. They have all booths, and very limited seating. Not all patrons fit in a booth comfortably, not booths of this size, anyway. The bathroom is located outside in the back of the building. That's just ridiculous! I think it's obvious they are not courting customers who want to enjoy their product at the restaurant! New owners, same great pizza! read more

This is my favorite of the "fried Sicilian" pizzas. Victory Pig might make the claim of being the original, but this is the one to get. It's fried pizza, it's gonna be greasy. But somehow Sizzle Pi is the least greasy of the ones I've tried. Three cuts for under $3.00 with tax included might be the best lunch bargain in America. Side note: They seem to have changed owners. Usually that's the death nail for any long established business. That's not the case. The new owners didn't change the menu. They didn't screw up the recipes. So disappointed in the turn Sizzle Pie has taken under new ownership. We've tried it about 5 more times, hoping they would work the kinks out and start making the wonderful pizza we have loved for years but the new owners are obviously cutting corners. The crust is too thin and dry, sometimes rock hard. The large chunks of tomato are missing and the cheese combination is dry and usually hard. They are overcooking the trays as well. We get pizza every Friday and Sizzle Pie has fallen out of our Friday rotation. read more

Amazing and delicious pizza! Worth the drive when ever we are in the area. Cannot get through over the phone to call ahead which is a bummer but the pizza is more than worth a wait. You order it in tray or half tray or individual cuts. The onions in the sauce makes its irresistible! An all around great find. read more

I'm so glad someone decided to buy and reopen the business. You can't beat the price, 3 cuts for $2.99. The hours are limited, the latest they're open is 8pm on a couple of days and 7:30 on a few days. I think they're closed Mondays. I walked in on a whim right at closing time and they had 9 cuts left and I bought 6. They were hour and fresh and just like I remember.
