First visit. The food here is delicious! We had both vegetarian and non-veg options. The mezze platter with the fresh homemade pita was amazing, so were the grilled kabobs and shwarmas. Everything was presented and prepared with love. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and on a Sunday afternoon it wasn't very crowded. There was plenty of street parking available, but I don't know if that's the case on weekdays. I'll most definitely be back! Happy Yelping!

We went to the one in bayridge a long time ago. The restaurant has a cool feel and pretty decor. The service was good. Food came out pretty quickly. The server also came and check in on us and refilled our waters quickly. Our server was very nice and accommodating. The food was delicious. Love the platter and got the mixed platter. The tea was kind of disappointing. The presentation was nice but not much to ride home about the tea.

Dinner @ Ayat was delicious and the service was exceptional. My family came in without a reservation on Mother's Day and they accommodated us for hours. From the Olives and Laban to the Baklava Cheesecake every moment, course and sip was worth coming back for. The space was bustling and energetic with amazing wall art and attention to detail. I will be coming back to Ayat many times in the future. High praise for the Eggplant and Haloumi, mocktails and mint tea! Huge thanks to our host and server on a busy Sunday :)

On arrival we were deciding if we could find something on the menu to fit a vegan diet, and were encouraged to have a seat and relax while we made our decision. The service priority seemed to make sure we could relax while we made a decision. We were happy to see the Vegan Platter with a good sampling of vegan appetizers, and when paired with fresh pita was a very filling dinner for one or a nice mezze for two. The flavors were amazing. The potency of the herbs and spices were so flavorful. I couldn't get enough of the rice and lentil mix. The grape leaves were nicely balanced and not too heavy on the vinegar. The fried cauliflower was more like a roasted sautee with spices and with a nice tart sauce. Paired with a limonana as a refresher and palate cleanser, it was a very tasty vegan meal. There's a nice indoor/outdoor flow between seating inside and covered sidewalk space, with plenty of space around tables for conversation privacy, and lovely design touches that elevate the vibe.

Insanely disappointing. I went to Ayat's first and original location in Bay Ridge years ago, and loved the food. Me and my husband were originally going to a neighboring restaurant on the block but he saw Ayat had a location in the area so we changed plans and ate here instead because he's never tried them. Wish we didn't. The service was mediocre. Our waitress was nice but she wasn't exactly friendly or approachable. She looked dead tired and was sitting at a nearby table diagonally from ours drinking coffee or something in a mug. Not very professional in my opinion. And I've worked restaurant service before and have never casually sat down near my customers while on the clock. There was a dad with his toddler and the toddler was screaming towards the end of their stay and nothing was said toward the dad who just mock screamed alongside his son. Very inconsiderate. We had a baby with us too who was sleeping. Onto the food, we ordered mixed shawarma platters each $16 and we were very disappointed because despite looking delicious, the meat was dry. Super dry. And the small drizzle of sauce was definitely not enough to aid in moistening your palette. The pita bread was warm and delicious. Their hummus was good but not great. The entrees were just so dry. We took them to go and heated the leftovers with added butter to try and moisten the meat a little more but it didn't work. Waste of time and money. Spoke to my friend who is also Yelp Elite and she and her husband went to Ayats other location on SI and had a similarly disappointing experience. Looks like only the original Bay Ridge location is the only Ayat worth going to. Skip this location. The atmosphere and experience was not up to par. The interior wasn't warm but I liked the murals on the wall of Palestinian people.

I still haven't had the chance to visit the OG Ayat location (or any of the others), but I was so pleasantly surprised to see one open up in this neighborhood. I've eaten here 3 different times this year, and unfortunately agree with the mixed reviews. Like some others have said, I really wanted to like the food here, but I feel like in general there is a lack of depth and flavor - particularly the traditional rice dishes which I expected to be more of the standout dishes. However what stands out here are the simple things like pita, baba ghanoush, and the wood fired oven pizza/flatbreads. I've only tried the pistachio paradise, but considering how fresh their pitas consistently are I'm pretty confident everything else under the wood fired section of the menu is also good. But for some reason we keep giving the traditional rice dishes another shot and they always seem to fall short. The chicken in the maklouba was dry and bland, and the lamb in the mansaf and ouzi royale dishes were at least very tender and great in texture but also lacking flavor. Most recently I had the chicken shawarma platter which I actually enjoyed. If I return I'd probably get that again, a wood fired flatbread, potentially kefta, or maaaybe the mansaf would get another chance. Definitely not the falafel or maklouba. Helpful to manage expectations and know what the hits and misses are. Though a bit disappointing each time, I'll round up to 4 stars because I don't wanna give up on them! The ambiance is great, especially when there's live music.

I have ordered delivery from this spot in the past, and genuinely loved the food there. The two stars here are for the food, which has always been tasty & consistent. My cousins were in the neighborhood and I suggested Ayat for a cute little catch up to try it in person. It was not cute. First, entry is pretty confusing & incoherent. There's no host stand to check in with, and I spent some time just standing there before I just left to see where the rest of my party (running late) was. When I went back in and finally spoke to someone, it didnt seem to matter I had a reservation, and there was no check in, but we sat fast. We were seated in one of the center tables near the Kitchen. I swear to you, almost every time someone walked past me on their way to pick up an order or take something to another table, my chair was kicked. Twice during dinner I asked my cousins to scootch the table back so I could try to move my chair forward. It was uncomfortable but I would have ignored that while we talked and ate, had not the night ended with the plastic chair snapping under me, and me falling to the ground in the middle of the dining room. I try not to write bad reviews, but I do think it's important that any bigger folk looking to dine here in person knows this is possible. It was humiliating, so spare yourselves. I normally love ordering their knafeh & had been excited to try it fresh, but dessert was a lost cause. I couldn't leave fast enough once we were packed up. I also thought it was kind of hysterical that while a few people profusely apologized, nothing material was offered, and even more so, we got our full price bill with a side of illegal surchage to boot. First bill said $6 surchage for using credit cards, so we switched to debit and still got a surcharge of $2, just cause. Best of luck to Ayat, but I will be putting the whole night & place from my mind entirely.

I love Ayat! The restaurant is very cozy and a beautiful space to enjoy a meal with family and friends. I've ordered dinner both seated and for takeout; every time is a hit. They're food is delicious, cozy, and always received with a warm handoff. Some of my favorites definitely include the labneh, spicy chicken kebab, and the lamb chops.

The quality of their food has always been top notch and honestly is my favorite spot for a Turkish meal. Their hummus and basically all their skewers, kababs and grilled meats are simply amazing. Fast forward, I haven't gone to Taci's Beyti for over a year and I just recently went for our anniversary dinner over the weekend. Place still felt the same, so I ordered my hummus, mixed grill and the chicken kebab for the misses. When The entrees arrived, I was a bit disappointed. They seem to have changed what use to come with their main entrees. Gone is the bed of thinly sliced onions under your meats, so is the roasted pepper and also the roasted tomato. Three items I actually enjoyed having with my entree. They also changed the pita under the meats as well but they replaced it with a very sad salad instead, with no dressing or even a vinaigrette at that. Just plain dry leaves with some red onions. They also have two prices now, one for cash and one for credit, the cost has gone up (which I understand) but they've also cut the portions and what use to come with it. Yes the food is still good but after that last trip I am rethinking about ever going back. I am disappointed that either through choice, greed, or whatever they decided to cut back. Time to scout and try some other Turkish restaurants in the boroughs I suppose, and no I am not leaving a one star review, their food quality and taste hasn't changed. I am just very disappointed.

No time for chit chat when you have a thriving business to run. - Samsa: We were told by family friends that Two Way has the absolute best samsa in all of Brooklyn. While that's a bold statement, they are definitely up in my top rankings. The crust is of perfect thickness and flakiness. Inside, you are greeted my a monstrous amount of lamb, onions, and delectable lard. Juices flow out like the nectar of the Uzbek gods. What makes their samsa so special is that they have a legit tandoor in the back.
