I met a couple of friends here for dinner before a concert at Roulette. There's plenty of seating in the back, plus an outdoor space that I'm sure is awesome in nice weather. Walking through, you get a nice view of the kitchen area, seeing where the magic happens: an exciting way to start the experience! My group decided to share a few things, all of which were delicious. The vegetable pizza (or "pitza" as they style it) was a huge hit: we loved the crust, with its resonant notes of olive oil, and the mozzarella cheese could not have been fresher. The olives and peppers delightfully balanced the cheese and tomatoes, making for an irresistible flavor profile and mouthfeel. Seriously, do not underestimate this formidable pie! The chicken platter came loaded with grilled chicken, hummus, and salad, along with warm, freshly baked pita. Perfect option for the person that wants to take their time sampling a variety of foods. The leg of lamb sandwich, meanwhile, is ready to be consumed at whatever pace you deem fit: indeed, one of our party devoured it voraciously, no crumbs left behind. And finally, we also worked our way through the large feta salad, which turns out to actually be an enormous platter of crumbled feta with some diced tomatoes on top. Don't order this expecting a leafy green salad, it's all cheese! BUT, do order it so that you can add some tangy feta to everything else on the table. It really makes the flavors pop. My first impression of Bedouin Tent was excellent. Service was great and the prices are very fair for the area. It's easy to walk past this spot. It doesn't have a great store front presence on Atlantic Ave. There is no memorable host or music and ambiance. It's dimly lit inside, I thought lights were burnt out at first. Stop in anyway. They make good lentil soup and have very tasty platters and wraps. I've had a bite of falafel that sounded like I bit into a pebble or an olive pit, but it's still 4.5 stars. I need to eat here more often. read more

Arrived here for dinner before a show at Barclays with a party of 3 at around 6:30, and it was fairly empty, which was really surprising! The restaurant was pretty spacious with some outdoor seating as well. We were greeted and seated right away. We ordered the small babaganoush, hummus, and 3 sandwiches. The small dips were actually a fairly large portion, we didn't finish either. The sandwiches however were a bit on the smaller size, but they were still tasty! Love this place! Found this spot when walking by on Atlantic avenue and the smell coming out of the restaurant was divine. Decided to stop and eat for lunch. My usual here is the sun-dried tomato pitza and my partner loves the lambajin pitza. The salad platter is great as well since you can mix and match 5 of their salads. Service is quick. I have one thing to say about Bedouin Tent; Don't walk, RUN and eat here! First off, don't be taken by the entrance which is essentially a pick up area. In the back is a sweet dining room with authentic decor and music. If the weather permits, there is also an outdoor garden that is lovely. The food from start to finish was authentic and prepared with such love and umami. The staff was kind, courteous, and very helpful and eager to share any recipes that I asked for. We had a combination salad platter that included: the beets, the chickpea and spinach, The tabouli, the lentils in Bulgar and Labneh. Every single item was distinct and prepared so perfectly. I can't really choose a favorite... For mains, I had the chicken platter and husband had the chicken Ouzi. His was a little bit more grain forward than we were expecting, but still delicious. Mine was absolutely incredible and the baba ghanoush that came with it was perfection. And aside, the pita was definitely Home baked and as late as a cloud with a thin crispy texture to it that was so delicious. We also fell in love with the citrus drink "Loomi," which apparently is made from dried limes and was like nothing we had ever tried before. It was so delicious that we wound up ordering two more glasses, asking for the recipe and ordering dried limes for delivery this morning lol. I also have to mention because I read in several reviews that they only take cash... This is not true. They absolutely take credit cards now. Our meal was finished with complementary mint tea, which was just the perfect finish to a perfect meal. The staff again was just so lovely and we had an amazing time! My friends got the chicken sandwich, and I got the merguez plate. The pita is a little crispier in texture than I like (more of a naan). The merguez especially was incredible. The service is friendly and attentive but we had to ask for appetizers to be brought out first before the mains. The food is good and tastes home made. Did a takeout order and while some of the food was tasty, other dishes were forgettable. On the whole, I don't think it lived up to their reputation. I ordered the Falafel plate, chicken plate, lentil soup, and Baklava. The positive: Delicious baklava! I would definitely get some again the next time I'm near Atlantic. The lentil soup was also quite tasty. Service was pleasant and prompt. The rest of it was just ok for me. I felt that the hummus was not very flavorful, and while the pita was warm, it was hard and not fluffy at all. I ended up throwing most of it out. This is a no, no. I have yet to a leave negative review, but I guess there's a first for everything. I was extremely disappointed with this order. After paying $40 for a chicken plate and a falafel plate what I received was BEYOND underwhelming. The chicken amounted to about eight small nuggets, and the falafel came with only three pieces. Both plates included just a small scoop of hummus and some wilted lettuce. I had asked for extra hummus since I don't eat pita, and while they said they would accommodate, it seemed more like the portions were reduced instead. At any middle eastern restaurant I've ever dined at they pride themselves on their food and give heavy portions. I wasn't expecting a heavy portion but when I hear "plate" I expect a plate, not an appetizer. When you look at other pictures of the falafel plate they come with 4-5 pieces an order. Please explain why I only received two? The flavor was fine, but the portions and value are unacceptable for the price. I would like this to be rectified to change my review. read more
