My first real stinker for a Georgian restaurant. Expensive, rather loud considering what this restaurant is, and rather mediocre food for what I got justifies a two star rating. The Khinkali here may be big, but they lack in substance and in style as they are presented lackluster and they lose their integrity fairly quickly. There is no resistance. The Khinkali here fall apart with one small nibble. Tasty, six to a plate, but I made a huge mess eating these when it should not have been. My new favorite bread, the Khachapuri, is a weak spot here. It pains me to say it, but it is. The bread seems underproofed and slightly underfilled. It creates an inconsistent taste pattern. One bite is all bread, the next is all cheese. I had to work this hard to get any harmonious flavor. It seems all the cheese is in one central location and did not spread. The Shkmeruli is the biggest letdown. The sauce it is cooked in has zero flavor despite it being very hot. Unfortunately the chicken is the same. The parts that are hit with the sauce are aggressively salty. The parts that are not are incredibly dry. I think the staff noted my mixed experience, as they did not thank me for my business after I thanked them before leaving. I will not be back. read more

I'm a huge fan of khachapuri so decided to give this place a try after the aquarium. I enjoy Georgian food but did find this place pretty pricey. I got a wrap with beef that came with a side of buckwheat that was $14.50, a small container of the spinach walnut salad with eggplant and a regular cheese khachapuri which was $12. The total was $32. The side of buckwheat was very little, I thought she could've been more generous. I enjoyed the khachapuri but wished they had cut it for me. The spinach walnut salad was really yummy and garlicky. I would've liked to try the dumplings or chicken kebab but it was going to take over 30 minutes to be ready. read more

My friend knows I have a fondness for Georgian food hence she recommended this shop. She kept telling me the dishes are light. They make imeruli with egg and cheese, and they have a nice selection of cold sides such as spinach walnut spread, stuffed eggplant, pickled vegetables, salad. This was my first time trying Georgian food, and it was a magical experience. First of all, the service was amazing and the workers were extremely patient and helpful in answering all the questions we had on the dishes and helping us choose their favorites. It was a casual, counter service place but the food was outstanding. We ordered several dishes, but stand outs were the cheese boat and eggplant cold dish. I was in the neighborhood for work and needed something quick to eat. Ended up getting a kebab and a Frappuccino. The kebab came with a side but I didn't get any since I was gonna eat while walking. It came with some tomato sauce on the side wrapped in flat bread. The kebab itself was absolutely delicious but for 19 bucks for both things I thing the portion was small, should've gotten the mashed potatoes. I was in the vicinity and looking for a place to eat for lunch. It was either this or McDonald's. I thought this was a Georgian bakery with coffee/tea so I didn't think they had other foods. I was surprised to see Salads, fish, chicken, sausage, soups and other foods. The cashier was very friendly and showed me what kind of foods they have available. I ordered this pork dumpling. They were steamed or boiled. There was 6 pieces of it. The skin was very soft and the meat was well seasoned. I really liked this dish. I also got some salmon, mushroom cold salad and a potato egg salad. One pastry which was flaky crust with spinach in it. That was really good! Their desserts are definitely recommended. This is a nice new spot with great soups! I had their beef soup and some other Georgian items that I'm not familiar with but all tasted delicious. I do like heavy meals and this satisfies that need. All the food that I've tried is amazing! It's fresh, has the right amount of spices, and just delicious. Whenever I come by I always buy a slice of cake and all of them are just delicious. Also, they sell bread that is good too. The people that work here are really nice. read more
