Asked the young woman Mickey working at the dispensary where I could get an espresso? She recommended this place up the block. I walk in and there's a nice crowd in there around 3:30. A good sign I'm thinking! I see they have desserts in the display case, and the pumpkin cake is calling me. I order the espresso and a slice of cake and they hand me it on a nice round wooden tray. It fits right on the round table outside. I purposely sit out here to watch the crowd go by. Every race and color, a snapshot of the world! People watching is one of my favorite pastimes and I notice they look at what I'm consuming. I'm not rush on a Sunday afternoon. I finish just in time as rain drops, a lite drizzle begins. came to this find before going to ny aquarium. Ordered the usual 3 shots of espresso ice latte for me& hubby asked for extra ice. Drinks took 5 minutes to make I kid you not 3 icecubes in each drink, espresso WATERED down to tea. Much needed cafe spot in the neighborhood! Cute cafe with a handful of tables for seating. They offer a variety of speciality espresso/lattes, frappes, and matcha drinks. I enjoyed the variety in their menu (also smoothies and lemonades if you're in the mood ). I ordered a Spanish Creme Latte and pistachio latte. Spanish creme was my favorite of the two. Just a short walk from the subway, Igam Coffee is such a hidden gem on Avenue U. As a small coffee shop it's easy to miss, but once you step foot inside it's as if you've been transported outside of Avenue U and suddenly made your way downtown. With modern decor in a bright and airy space, it's definitely a contrast to the noise and busy businesses it's surrounded by. I was immediately greeted by the barista upon entering and was asked to wait as he prepared an UberEats order and was with another customer. I loved the transparency of this, although never expected, since he was the only person working in this cafe and it did let me know that I would be spending a bit of time here waiting. He quickly took my order and noticed it was my first time here, a small detail that contributes to some great customer service. The barista was so friendly, let me know which drinks were his favorite, and went to work on hand crafting my beverage. I opted for the Tiramisu Latte and was blown away by the flavor. Not too sweet & had so much dimension, it actually tasted like I was eating tiramisu. You could tell the barista actually enjoys his job and takes the time to perfectly craft the beverages, which makes them all the better. I definitely have to return, maybe even bring a laptop here and complete some work since the interior is so pleasant. I can't wait to try the rest of the beverages and food since it seems like they have quite a bit of variety! read more

Randomly happened upon this cafe while walking in the neighborhood. They have an extensive menu with unique offerings. I decided to get an iced crème brûlée latte which was solid. I have been to this café before and purchased coffee and sandwiches in person. It was very busy but the service was nice and what seemed to be the owner was welcoming. Because of that I decided to support them again through Uber Eats and ordered two drinks and a sandwich. When my iced coffee arrived I noticed something floating inside. I removed the paper lid and there was a fruit fly. Something told me to check further so I emptied the ice and found two more fruit flies in the drink. That is absolutely disgusting!!! This is completely unacceptable and extremely upsetting. I wanted to support a local business but this experience makes it impossible for me to trust ordering here again. Cleanliness should be the bare minimum. read more

I love this coffee shop! I've been a few times now, and each visit has been a great experience. The staff is always welcoming and helpful, they take the time to offer suggestions and even share their personal favorite drinks, which I really appreciate. So far I've tried the S'mores Latte and the Spanish Crème Latte, both were delicious, but the Spanish Crème is hands down my favorite! You can really tell they care about making sure you're happy with your order. They're always willing to make adjustments if something's not quite right. Another great perk is their rewards system: buy 10 drinks and get a free one, or buy 8 pastries and get one free! My only small suggestion would be to have a rewards system tied to a phone number or app, since I tend to lose the punch card. The space itself is cozy and inviting, with seating for about 20 people. perfect for catching up with a friend or getting a little work done. Definitely a neighborhood gem. And if you're having a bad day and trying to prep for a long day at work, try their brown sugar shaken espresso and the almond croissant! So good! Tip: Order online to avoid long waits or call ahead! It sometimes gets super busy since there's only one barista working most of the time. Love: They alwayssss keep our iced drinks in the fridge until we come pick up. Today I had a delicious iced caramel cappuccino, and after inquiring about their peanut butter smoothies, the lovely staff were nice enough to give me a generous size sample. I love this place! They have such a large and varied drink menu. I also like their sandwiches. They have so many different desserts including cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory! The place is cute and nicely decorated and is pretty spacious inside too. I didn't give 5 stars because service can be pretty slow. I came here for lunch while working from home a few months ago. There was only one employee and 3-4 customers. My one drink and sandwich took 40 minutes. Lucky I live close by because I had 10 minutes to eat!! And everything here is kinda expensive. read more
