I've been to quite a few bakeries in my neighborhood because we have a lot of good ones. However,…read morethis bakery out of all the ones I've had is my favorite. I love their fruit tarts. From the picture they're beautiful and delicious. And my second favorite thing, that I don't have a picture of because I always eat it too quickly before I remember to take a photo of it, is their raspberry rugelach. Those things are so buttery and flaky and fresh with raspberry flavor that I dream about them. I would with 100% recommend you to go get them. They are literally the best tasting things I've had from a bakery and I've eaten at a lot of bakeries. lol. I'm giving high praise, but truly it's delicious. Since I normally buy treats for just myself, I don't go for the bigger items, but their pies look really yummy too and I'm always curious to try one so maybe next time. Honestly, you have to stop by even if just for the fruit tart or the raspberry rugelach.

The cases are lined with every type of cookie you could imagine and they have a plethora of pastries to choose from. They have Italian staples like 7 layer cookies, sprinkle cookies and jelly sandwich cookies. With all the different types of cakes and cannoli's it's hard to pick a favorite. When you walk into the store it feels like you've stepped back in time. It always smells like there is something amazing baking in the back. Keep in mind it's cash only but there is an ATM in the store. Staff is fast and friendly (as friendly as New Yorkers can get).

Jamie knows her sweets and there are plenty to sample at her Dessert Bar. Set up on a busy stretch…read moreof Lincoln Rd, across the street from the B and Q Prospect Park subway stop, its easy to get your ice cream on before heading to the park or Botanic Garden. The dipping cabinet was full of great flavors this week, fruity, chocolatey, creamy, with sorbets and ice cream alike. I was eyeing the mango and coconut and pina colada, but needed a caffeine boost, so I settled on the very tasty espresso chip and chocolate. They had tons of cupcakes, from red velvet to birthday cake, lemon cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake slices. Macarons by the dozen were ready for snacking. Staff were friendly and wearing masks. They had a plexi divider between the front and back of house. Prices are fair.

They do have a nice selection of flavors though, like honey lavender, passion fruit, birthday cake, white chocolate, peppermint, and more. I think the bigger thing though was the staff member doing the mask under the nose thing. I know I could have said something, but I honestly don't think it should be up to the customer to tell you to wear a mask properly - I'm not a person who likes conflict and is uncomfortable telling people what to do, but it made me feel uncomfortable and later on I was even feeling uncomfortable to eat the macarons because I kept feeling like what if droplets got on these?? Etc. I know that's not likely but still - they're the thoughts that go through your head and something the business should be aware of. So I would just say for future be aware of proper mask use.
