Tuesday December 27, 2022 went in for a pedicure and gel dip on my nails. The nail tech dropped a bottle of glue on my shoe and didn't say anything me until I put my shoe on. My brand new show is ruined and they had nothing to say to me but sorry. I will never go back. They should have refunded me my services. I will never go back to this nail salon. read more

It was my first time at this location and wow! I am super impressed! I am very particular about the quality and technique when getting my nails done and Avalon Nails definitely delivered amazing results. April did my nails and she did awesome! I've been to places where the product is just slapped on the acrylic nail in a rush, which causes lifting and thick ugly nails. This was not the case here! If you are looking for a place that does beautiful nails this is it! Very professional, polite and the shop is clean, beautiful, upscale feel. This nail salon is so terrible April the one that sits by the door is so unprofessional matter of fact they all are especially the owner..april makes appointments and you rush there to be on time all for her to take 30-45 minutes to get to you as if you do not have other plans with your day.. they are extremely rude if I have a question or concern they act like they don't want to hear it I literally mid pedicure had to get up and walk out after trying to give them one last chance.. I have been going here for a while I always had complaints about my gel pedi pealing in a matter of day they will always say there is nothing they can do.. if you go in for them to fix it they will always say they don't have time come back another day making you feel like a burden..this shop need to close down they are so expensive so rude inconsiderate and unprofessional I DO NOT RECOMMEND them at all they have no loyalty at all to their customers .. read more

Been going here for a while. They are always accommodating and friendly. I've gotten full sets,manicures and pedicures and they have always lasted and held up wonderfully. Very clean and nice shop. Took 2 hours for a $38 pedicure and all I got was my nails cut and painted. $15 extra for gel... most places are 5-10 extra. The lady made me bleed on 3 different toes, and I've had pain for about a week in the toe. My nails are peeling up. I got acrylics, they normally last 2 weeks. I didn't not tip at all. $38???? To have my feet dipped in water, toes nails cute and bleeding, and to have my toes painted. No way. My normal place charges $38 - $45 and they give hot stones, sugar scrub, hot wax, hot towel wrap, lotion, and gel and message. read more

Okay, but don't think I'll be returning. I've been to this salon about 4 times now. I've gotten pedicures, gel manicures and dip manicures. I have usually been pleased with the way my nails have come out but today I was not. I'll also add that every time I have come to this salon I have made an appointment and they've never started my nails at the appointment time. Today I had an appointment for 3 o'clock and was not attended to until about 3:15pm, not a huge deal except for the fact that a walk in came in and was seated and started on before I was. Today Diane did my dip manicure and I was very disappointed in how they came out. The dip powder was applied very uneven on multiple nails and when I pointed it out she said she'd fix it when she filed it. I thought that'd be fine but once she filed there were spots on my nails that did not have dipping powder on them at all. Diane was very distracted the entire time she was doing my nails, it seemed like she only cared about everything that was going on around her in the salon. At some points she was filling my nails and not even looking at the nail! She was more invested in having conversations with other nail techs and shouting across the salon to have other people that walked in seated and taken care of. It was just a disruptive experience all around. When I am paying $45+ for a manicure I expect the manicurist to at least pay attention to what they're doing. She seemed like she didn't want to be bothered with doing my nails and she was just going as fast as she could so she could get to the next client which is irritating considering I made an appointment for that time slot. Other times I have been in the salon, I have had other technicians that really take their time and I have been pleased but considering making an appointment never seems to guarantee a time slot and the way I was treated today, I don't think I'll be returning. read more

I don't feel the pricing is fair and consistent. I don't like it when places charge different prices to people for the same service. My sister suggested I come here because it is where she goes and enjoys it. However I was charged $5 more than her for the same exact thing. I was getting a dip manicure and a spa pedicure and was told by the guy that it was $5 more to have my cuticles cleaned. I've never heard of this! If I'm getting a manicure that's one of the most important parts. I didn't argue at the time but once I spoke to my sister and she told me that she's never been charged for that I was pretty annoyed. There was no menu so how are you to know if you're getting scammed? For the express pedicure, which does have a menu thankfully, it felt really rushed and the foot scrub was barely a second and my feet did not feel soft after. The polish was so caked on that it didn't dry an hour later and smeared on 3 toes. And worse I took my 2 little cousins with me for some bonding time and asked if I could sit next to my cousin and the guy told me "no I'd have to move my stuff" which I'd understand if I was getting something intense but just a dip manicure doesn't take much! So rude!!! We had to all sit on opposite sides to the salon. I had my 2 cousins and between us we got 3 Express Pedicures, a full set and one dip manicure and it was $170 plus tip. I really wanted to like this place because I need a regular location but this is not it for me. read more

I haven't had a pedicure in 3 years and decided it was time so tried Avalon nails. The place was nice inside and I was seated in a chair with water running. I was a walk in and didn't have to wait long. The girl was nice and the pedicure was ok. Nothing to rave about. No cuticle cream or oil used and my cuticles were pushed back by the clippers. I even opted for the deluxe at $48. You have to tip in cash and you will be charged a .96 fee, probably the credit card fee that most businesses pay but these places charge you for running their business. I guess I expected more after watching The Meticulous Manicurist. From now on I will do my own pedicures. Not worth the money read more

Favorite place to go. Everyone does a great job, they are friendly and accommodating, and as a bonus the place is very nicely remodeled and the pedi chairs are new and fully functional. (Oh - and they have TVs with closed captioning. Just wish they would put TVs in the mani area as well as the pedi area. I get so bored when having my nails done so hoping that's in the plans!) Came here with my daughter looking for a new place. When They began to work on me they tried to use the same tools they had just used on the person before me. I saw them rinse them off in the sink. I asked about the sterilization and she said oh we do but I just rinsed these off. I said do not use that on me get me a sterile set. She did. We returned and they remembered got clean set out but towards the end my daughters tech put the tools in the same plastic bag in his drawer. Now I wonder if they were ever sterile. Timmy is the best pedicure I have ever had! He is super friendly and does a fantastic job!

Besides the 30+ min wait for a basic pedicure, the service and staff is impeccable! Timmy was my nail tech and he took his time to perfect my pedicure. Despite the fact that they were so busy, he did not rush! I enjoyed my very relaxing pedi and appreciated the extra time he took massaging my feet as I am 9 months pregnant. The place is super clean and prices are very reasonable! Gratuity is greatly appreciated in cash but they do accept card. They carry OPI & major Essie colors and offer different types of services such as waxing, etc. my second time here and both times have been perfection! This salon was a real find after trying every corner salon I saw , with so many out there I'm surprised some stay open with the poor work they do , I do believe you get what you pay for. I've been in and out the nail industry for about 30 years training people all over the world in different countries so know exactly what I want and what I expect , I do understand everyone is human and can have off days . This place is SPOTLESS and from the time you walk in the door you are greeted with respect and manners and spoken too , I paid more because I was going to an out of town wedding and wanted something unique so had this amazing 3D cats eye design which I had never seen done before. I have never done a yelp review but I felt in this case it was necessary .. I went in to get a gel manicure yesterday and the lady who did my nails seemed so rushed and she did not do the greatest job. I went home later that night and noticed that some of my nails were already lifting and coming off. Today I am missing one entire nail that peeled right off and two more are chipped. I get my nails done maybe monthly & I like to relax. I tend to always have a sore back so I look forward to the massage chair and browse on my phone. I came in for a regular pedi and gel mani. I was sat in pedi chair. They didn't let me choose color, wanted to rush my service. Maybe a few minutes in and guy comes over to start removing my gel mani. I can somewhat understand it's a lengthy process but I'm in no rush. He turned off my massager cause it was too bumpy. And applied foils to my hand. So now I couldn't be on my phone and no back massage. I had to ask him to wait on my hands cause I came here to relax. Man, the looks I got from the workers and them speaking to each other in their native tongue. I had a lady literally turn 180 degrees to look at me and you know what, I stared back. I am paying for a service, they're not doing it for free. I didn't appreciate them being upset for asking to do service one at a time so I can relax. However, my past 5 or so appointments they have sat me down to start my services and I have ended up sitting waiting and/or soaking for 30-40mins without anyone returning to check in. My roommate and I went to three different nail salons to get 1 dip nail mani, and a gel mani and regular pedi. 2 salons were too busy and turned us away, but this one took us in! We had to wait, but no more than 15 minutes! Their customer service was amazing! Raymon is awesome! It was really cool to hear about the new changes he made in the salon, and how much he cares about it and is proud of what they do there! Everything was super new, and clean! I also ended up accidentally opening up one of the blisters on the back of my heel when taking off my shoes, and bled all over the place (gross and embarrassing), and everyone was super nice and helpful. They helped me clean the wound and put a bandaid on it, and still did my pedicure! This salon is far from where I live, but if I have the time I would love to make it back here! read more

My typical nail girl is on maternity leave and I have gone here before when she was unavailable and had a goo experience so I decided to try it out again. I can say my nails are ok. When the tech finished my nails I noticed that you could see through the polish in the center of my nail and that the polish looked uneven. I asked the nail tech and she happily fixed it on all my nails. However, after leaving the salon I noticed some of my nails are shorter than others. Being that I am a perfectionist having my nails be different lengths drives me insane. Overall, my nails are decent but I wouldn't necessarily go back unless I had to read more

The place is clean and I like how they do nails when I can get them done. I only get polish changes so not as much money as those getting gel or dipped nails. This is my personal experience on my first visit here. Being a business owner myself, I know what it takes to leave the customer no other choice but to want to come back again. That being said, I probably won't be back. The people were nice but they could have gone the "extra mile" just to make sure I had an experience like no other before. I wasn't offered a water or anything, when I mentioned to the lady that I wanted my toes to match my nails she made no effort and just brought one color that was completely different. When I told the lady that the color was too different, she had another employee bring a lighter base so the color would be lighter instead of getting up and finding the right color. When the nail technician was done with me she left to start another pedicure and never came back, the lady sitting next to her was the one that had to finish my nails and all she did was apply some cuticle oil and then told me to wash my hands.... no hand massage or anything. One last thing is they charge $45 for SNS dip powder with a fast cuticle clean up, not a regular manicure, which I think is super expensive. I hope my opinion is taken as constructive criticism to make the business better. read more

I don't know why there would be negative reviews for this nail salon. I leave happy and satisfied every time. They are very accommodating and can typically get me in whenever! I will see anyone for a pedicure but only see Timmy for my nails. I almost never have lifting when he does my nails. Pricing is pretty reasonable, I think. You get what you pay for!
