Burnt pretzels!
Disgusted C.

I love Auntie Anne's and never had a bag of mini pretzel that I didn't like until today.. As can been seen in the picture, the pretzels is burnt, tasted dry and hard. Very disappointing. No I'm pissed. How can they sell this? Don't they have a timer on how long to bake?

OREO Topped Nuggets
Frankie H.

I stopped by Auntie Anne's on my way home from lunch and decided to try their Oreo Topped Nuggets for the first time. I didn't expect them to taste as good as they did, but they were nice and warm and the taste of the Oreos with the cream sauce mixed on top of warm pretzel bites, was the perfect way to finish off lunch with a great DESSERT TREAT!

Got my free Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel to go!
Tiffany C.

I came for National Pretzel Day, and got the Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel for free with in-app coupon. The pretzel was warm, soft and chewy with just the right amount of cinnamon sugar. Absolutely delicious! The only negative was the wait but didn't want to take off a star bc it just tasted so good and it was free! I arrived at 5pm and the line didn't seem very long, but I still waited 30 minutes in a very slow moving line.

4/26/23 National Pretzel Day fiasco
Elle K.

4/26/23 - National Pretzel Day. A disastrous experience at the Irvine Spectrum location. Not adequately staffed and no communication to those on the line. There were probably 40-50 people on the line. I went inside to ask will they have enough, and they said they only had 2 left and were not going to make any more. Shouldn't someone have come out half an hour prior to say the supply is gone? A poor customer experience. Only 3 staff. All looked unhappy and unfriendly. 1st and last time at this location.

I'm not sure why Auntie Anne's only has 3 stars because they make really yummy pretzels. The closest parking are either where the Bristol Farms or by Sephora. There's always a line here, so they must be more than 3 stars. The pretzels are soft. Once you have a bit, you'll want more. I like sweets, so my favorites are the sweet almond and the cinnamon sugar. They make the pretzels super soft and buttery tasting. Happy Pretzeling!

Stopped by this location at the Irvine Spectrum the other night to try the new confetti nuggets. The store is small but you can't miss it because when you walk by it smells delicious. They didn't have any made so it was about a ten minute wait which was perfectly fine for fresh bites. The confetti nuggets were actually quite tasty. Perfectly buttery (grab some napkins) and the sprinkles balance out the butter. The bites were fluffy and not overwhelming, some of the ones at the bottom were a little doughy though. Definitely overpriced (about $11)but that's to be expected at this point. I'm glad I tried it but don't see myself clamoring to come back for this particular item.

Heinous working conditions

The level of understaffing here is flat up abusive! One clerk, a mile long line, people with app pick-ups cutting said line, and on top of that possible cross contamination from having ONE PERSON basically being worked to death with no time to change gloves. It felt so disgusting to witness straight up Dickinson style wage slavery that we left without buying a single thing and hope the poor lady on duty either gets some backup or quits for her sanity.

Crispy and fresh. Line was somewhat long but service was quick and literally took less than 10 minutes.

staff was very polite, and helpful. Freshly made pretzels are super soft and amazing. And if you want, the bites are delish.

They took 20 minutes to make my pretzel cup. This place is a disgrace. I expect better out of a fast food corporation.

A guilty pleasure!…read more Duck Donuts never dissapoints! Made-to-order donuts are such a luxury, I love stopping by and seeing them make it fresh! When I searched on Google for ice cream near me- chocolate shoppe ice cream popped up then upon looking further I realized it was sold within duck donuts. Still ventured to try it Two guys working, one said he was new, and didn't know where all the flavors were / allowed us to try some b4 we ordered but was a pain bc the flavors were spread between two freezers in front of store and whatever was in the back. Placed an order for 3 double scoop cups (all they had) and took a really long time to make them having to figure out where the flavors were between the front and back of store. Then. They didn't have lids to cover them or a bag to put them in - so we literally covered each cup with another cup and put in a box I had from Costco in my trunk to get them home without dripping everywhere in my car. And I say dripping everywhere bc by the time he finished the last cup/. The others were melted from taking so long. They should probably just stick to donuts if they can't fully support the ice cream products. If I knew now/ I wouldn't have chosen to try there for ice cream. Very unfortunate, bc we probably would have loved the ice cream - but the experience clearly trumped the product.

Coming from Irvine, I picked up six pastries from Lady M Cake Boutique and honestly, they were…read morescrumptious. My favorites were definitely the lavender, pistachio, and the Italian chocolate. The lavender was the most unique and would absolutely be the one I bring to wow new people. The pistachio was rich, creamy, and really well balanced. The Italian chocolate was deeply chocolatey, exactly how I like it, and I finished the whole thing in one sitting. The rose flavor is definitely for people who truly enjoy rose desserts. The strawberry was the only one that did not fully match my expectations from a high end bakery. The tiramisu was decent, more cream-forward and lighter on the coffee flavor than I expected. Overall, these pastries are definitely on the sweeter, cream-based side, and honestly, that is exactly what made them so good to me. I do not want desserts to be less sweet, I want them to feel indulgent and perfect, and these did. I will absolutely keep going back, especially for the lavender, chocolate, and pistachio pastries.

Dubai Chocolates weren't that impressive with me before but they made a lot of senses on the crepes and the textures were very interesting. Similar to the Baklava Miles Crepes as well. The Strawberry Matcha, Original, Matcha, as well as the Earl Grey are their usual staples so the tastes were very consistent. Always my top choice whenever craving for crepes. They also have whole cakes available without having to preorder but the flavors depends on days so it's worth to get a birthday cake here. Their slices are about $14 each but we typically don't finish one per person and always get multiples to try so don't let the price tags scare you. Ambiance wasn't anything impressive except for the displays of crepes, which always pleasing to eyes. Service was normal. They don't give out free plates unless we asked though

Instead, he recommended the *Creamtella* and their matcha beverages. I was absolutely blown away; who would have thought that *Cheesetella's matcha drinks would be this delicious?! There is a wide selection of matcha drinks available in-store. The owner mentioned that they use high-quality matcha (I'm guessing he meant ceremonial grade?), and he even showed me their preparation process--specifically how they whisk it to achieve that smooth, "mirror-like" finish! Matcha Einspanner Personally, I prefer this kind of simple flavor profile: matcha blended with a rich, thick cream topping. It offers a satisfyingly subtle tea aroma with every sip--a true delight for any matcha enthusiast! Strawberry Matcha w/ Pistachio Cream If you love strawberries and enjoy sweet flavors, you'll likely enjoy this one. However, since I'm not personally a huge fan of the combination of strawberry jam and matcha, I felt just "okay" about it--though it is a tasty drink! The pistachio cream topping definitely earns some extra points here! Creamtella The combination of cream and cake gave me a whole new appreciation for their pastries. The cream perfectly counteracts the cake's tendency to be a bit dry; together, they make for a truly perfect pairing! You absolutely *must* give this a try!! It gets a huge thumbs-up from me! Chocotella This one is fairly standard and straightforward. The small chocolate pieces add a nice textural element, and the flavor is a definite plus--especially if you're a chocolate lover! However, the cake itself leans a bit toward the drier side--much like their original plain flavor (which is why I still highly recommend going for the versions with added cream!) To be honest, the first time I tried their cakes, I wasn't particularly impressed. Later, I saw posts suggesting that heating them up before eating makes them taste much better. But this time, the *Creamtella* truly blew me away, completely changing my opinion of the brand. And the matcha drinks are just the icing on the cake! The owner is genuinely a wonderful person--so friendly and enthusiastic! Since it's just him and one other employee working in the shop, making the drinks takes a little time, so please be patient! ^_^

The location of…read morethis well-known Japanese/French bakery was unusual in that it's isolated in a corner of the El Camino Plaza. I had expected the business to be in a more high volume area, however a benefit of their corner spot was that the parking lot had plenty of spaces. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor tables were set up along the north and east perimeters of the building. I was by myself at this latest visit, and it was close to the end of the day so the inventory was quite depleted. There was no line at all which was not a surprise. The famous Strawberry Croissants and prepackaged items were on refrigerated display to the left when you walked in. As the service counter rounded a corner, there were more fresh baked goods on display before you reached a register. Across from the registers were shelves containing bags of fresh bread products. I bought a Strawberry Croissant, a Sticky Bun, a Ham and Cheese Croissant, and an Apple Croissant. The quality of the pastry dough was very good, and I could see why the Strawberry Croissant was a favorite with the customers. The croissants were light and flakey, and the powdered sugar added a delicate topping to the strawberry version. If I were to rate on just the Strawberry Croissant, then it would be five stars. My overall rating was downgraded because of the customer traffic flow. The lines can be optimized so that if you wanted to buy a six-pack of the Strawberry Croissants and/or anything prepackaged, then a separate queue should be arranged for those customers. The cafeteria trays were of limited use if you were not getting a large number of items. As you advanced in the queue, other products had to be requested from a worker behind the counter and then those were not placed on the tray. Ultimately, I think they can configure the operation to more efficiently handle the higher volume periods of the day.
