Ordered through Uber eats as we were crazy some food Chinese food. Ordered a few plates and the orange chicken bowl for my daughter. The food was delicious! The prices are fair and the plates that are about $10 come with an egg roll and 2 cream cheese wantons as well as a drink which was a great deal. Overall satisfied with the taste of the food and the prices. Food was also not super greasy as some other Chinese food is as well and big portion sizes. I definitely recommend. read more

I just have to give the earned 5 Stars for Asian Chef! I have to start off with the Egg Drop Soup WOW! It's not just the boring version you get at other fast food chains it's fillies with Bok choy, shrimp, Bamboo Shoots, and the flavor is so amazing I honestly can't get enough of it. The second item I always get is the Egg Plant with Garlic Sauce.... Ohhh my! It's flavorful and delicious. I also get the pork ribs, the are tender and juicy and they give you large amount for the price. I live alone so honestly I'm eating it for a few nights but it holds up to the first day ordered. Asian chef is a good deal for lunch the lunches are made to order. No food under heat lamps here. I got it to go and when I got back to work it was still hot. Thumbs up. I ordered sweet n sour pork and orange chicken with half n half noodles and fried rice. The noodles look like they came out of a nuclear blast because they are bright orange. Still good though. Rice was a little weak was not orange . But the orange chicken was,nice crisp coating with the orange sauce. The pork was crispy as well but well covered in sweet n sour sauce and fresh pineapple pieces. My one gripe was the place charging for extra hot sauce. Come on! Quality here is all over the place. They are not consistent with recipes. Hot and sour soup changes all the time. Sometimes it's delicious and other times it's flavorless with new veggies in it. I find the same problem with the Kung pao shrimp and chicken. Some days it's fresh and the sauce is spot on, while other days the meat/shrimp seems old and the sauce is thick and once again new veggies are introduced. Their steamed rice fluctuates from fresh and sticky to dry and stale. Their pork fried rice is very good but only had that once. It's a crap shoot eating here. Really wish they could be consistent with the good chef and have some quality control. read more

The Kung Pao chicken is very good here. I got the lunch special which was like $7 it is a very big portion enough for two people. I like that the peanuts in there are not the real hard crunchy ones and that the Chili's that they use or not those hard dried ones they're nice and soft and easy to chew. It has a good mixture of celery chestnuts squash onions and of course the peanuts the sauce is a good mild sauce I chose the brown rice as my side and it's very good cooked well just right. This is the first time coming here I've been a resident here for many years and I know this place hasn't been open that long they took over another Asian place that used to be here that had really good food. I've been a customer of there for years and today was the last time I ever order from that place. I ordered the beef and broccoli, beef fried rice and potstickers. The first bite of the beef tasted tasted spoiled. Thought it was just that one piece are a few more bites and it was the same taste. Called and went up there and the manager Henry refused to give me a refund. He claims the meat was fresh. My roommate and I feeling nauseous and begun throwing up. BEWARE metal in our food!! We've been loyal customers at Asian Chef on Atlantic for many years but unfortunately tonight they lost our patronage. We found metal scraps in our food when we started eating the main dishes we ordered and by one of the employee's own admission when we brought the food back, it came from the dirty pads they use to clean the walls!!! The owner apologized but was reluctant to give me a full refund on my order because I didn't bring back the starter soup we started with, despite bringing back all the other items! Counter person I worked with was friendly and helpful, explaining items on the menu and their combos when she learned this was my first time there. My order was to go. FOOD: After looking over the menu, I decided to order ala cart and chose the Hot Bean Curd (spicy tofu) w/chicken ($7.95) and Eggplant in Garlic Sauce ($8.25). Both come with your choice of a side of rice (white, brown or fried). Flavor wise it was pretty bland and boring. The spicy tofu and eggplant in garlic sauce by contrast were both quite good! The tofu had a nice texture as well as enough spice to warm my mouth. The pieces of chicken were small, but plentiful, adding texture and flavor. The eggplant was soft (as expected) but very tasty, yum! The container the eggplant was in, was filled right to the edge and some liquid overflowed into the plastic bag by time I got home. As such I got sauce all over my hands as I lifted the container out of the bag. OK, a minor inconvenience. OVERALL: The total of nearly $17 (after 5% off) for two items, seemed a little high (or maybe it's just me). But at the same time, I was able to get 3 different meal out of this one order, awesome! The only thing I can stand to eat here is the fried or steamed rice, shrimp in lobster sauce (with the request of no zucchini and no water chestnuts), and the egg rolls (if they're fried crunchy). Really not good. Wonton soup and fried wontons. The broth was tasteless and wontons has come open so chicken filling was floating loose. We've ordered from Asian Chef for years and it was always pretty good. But during the quarantine we ordered through post mates and received a completely wrong order. When I called them to say they made a mistake and if we could get our order, they simply said we're too busy, your order is long gone, you'll have to get a refund from Postmates. That is the worst customer service! I said you really should try to see how this can be fixed, we've been long time customers. She literally said "you're right but we're just too busy. Dont order here through grubhub. They are very inconsiderate to their customers. Even when they realize that their system goes down, they dont bother checking after to see if any orders come through. Bad customer service. And then after they close and get a phone call from the customer they nonchalantly tell the customer, oh well, we're out of a certain item anyways so we wouldn't have been able to do it. Back in the day, this place was another Chinese restaurant that time forgot that was tucked away in a little strip mall. Even with the facelift, new management, new menu and remodel, sadly it still is. Don't get me wrong, I like Chinese cuisine and make every attempt to patronize new establishment, but this place just misses the mark. I was at the UPS Store and figured I'd get some largehot/sour soup to go (at $4.75) Figured I'd be in there 5 minutes at the most. I noticed they got rid of the steam tables, so the counter looks conspiciously large. I picked up a menu and prices seem to be reasonable; beef entrees are $7.79, chicken $7.29, seafood $9.25 and vegatables/tofu $6.25. The clincher is that it took about 10 minutes to get my soup. Now, if you've read my reviews before you know that I've been in the service industry and take customer service very seriously. It would've been nice if the server to me that they either cook-to-order or it'd take x-amount of minutes. I wasn't happy with that. When I did get my soup home, I wasn't welcome to the familiar brown broth, but it looked like they just took some egg flour soup, threw in some red chili flakes and added the bamboo shoots and mushrooms. I wasn't happy with that either. Maybe they're working another angle, but I don't see it. We ordered delivery from the last night and what a great experience we had! It started with a very nice girl taking our order and the delivery guy was very nice, Findlay and prompt. The hot & sour soup was a great start to the meal. It had chicken, shrimp, tofu, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots, it was very hearty an was delish! Their house fried rice has very generous portions of shrimp and other meats and was flavorful. The wifey had shrimp in lobster sauce and I hade the orange chicken - extra spicy- and we were very happy with both. Do yourself a favor and order food from here, you'll love it! read more

This place used to Lin's Kitchen back in the day but is now cook to order. Delivery is also available if you're can't make it out of home or work. I ordered the shrimp w/ lobster sauce along w/ an order of chow mein. I don't know about most people, but I like my sauces and one that came w/ the shrimp was delicious. Spicy yet tangy. And what a difference when the food is cooked on the spot as opposed to it sitting outside for half an hour under a heater. To get something cooked at a traditional sit down restaurant would cost considerably more. The decor is considerably nicer than your average chinese fast food joint. The walls aren't the typical stale white color, and the "Lucky" tree in the corner along with the bambo screen posted on the wall gives the place a nice traditional touch. And service was extremely nice and attentive. A great place if you're looking for fast, yet freshly cooked chinese food. read more
