So me and my mom went to BX yesterday after work... been seeing the truck for a while and had a taste for some beni style cuisine. It was no one in the lot when we arrived and Byron was completing someone's order. He told us a moment as he wrapped up. Byron gave solid energy and was ready to help with any questions. Straightforward order, I ordered premium filet and chicken, my mom got a side of fried rice and an order of garlic noodles. The wait he said was about 20 mins. Perhaps because we were the first to order before a gang of people pulled up, but the food was done in 19 mins and by the weight of the food in the bag I was surprised. Essentially, the food was a great choice due to taste and portion size, and accessibility. I ended up crashing my entire plate. My mom still had leftovers. If I could give a critique, at the bottom of the veggies was a lot of liquid--I would guess that it was due to the condensation created in the container (that would be something you cant really control). My mother had the same comment for her noodles but she mentioned they were saucy so maybe thats just how they are prepared, and she thought it would have more garlic emphasis. Really wish I could rate this better. I had a long 12 hour shift and wanted some hibachi, so I pulled up here. Guy was on the phone for a while and other dude stood around. I started my order, which was about to be around $40 and they were out of chicken and veggies?!! Not really a hibachi at that point. I went a couple minutes away to Hana Teppanyaki in Compton and only paid $24 for the same thing PLUS chow mein. Try that place instead. Might give here a go another time. The chicken was so tender the rice the noodles the vegetables were so flavorful. The veggies were so fresh and crunchy yet soft enough to chew very delicious. The shrimp was good too. I live this food and staff is usually pretty and friendly, tonight was just a bit weird tho, I came up to order and the girl greeted me and started taking my order, but then suddenly she said oh by the way if you're on a rush i don't know if you still want to order because we do have a big order working right now which is 4 times bigger than what you're going to order. So your food will take 30 Min to be ready and were about to close so yeah, I wasn't sure how to answer to that , I was confused so I said ok thank you and just left , then I go on here to check their hrs and it says they close at 11pm I was here at 9:50 to try and order something. Craving Hibachi and I stumbled on this truck down the street from my house. Fair warning, they are pricey. For 2 plates one w/ NY Steak and Shrimp, and one w/ just NY STEAK it was $67. The food was really good. I asked for medium rare but it does seem like my meat was well done instead. They gave us really big portions, I ate half and still have more than enough to eat later on. Out of the Garlic Butter, Yumm Yumm, and Diablo sauce, the Garlic was my favorite. The veggies were fresh and cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend. read more

My family and i went for churros at the truck next to Bachi Xpress but we were also hungry, so we ended up getting some food. My dad loved his shrimp bowl & my son & I shared the steak plate. My son said the food was delicious & even ate the veggies! The service was amazing as well. Definitely should try it. I made it point to come back to this truck and write a review because I was baffled by the amount of poor reviews . The first time I tried this food truck, I thought the fried rice was so flavorful I didn't want to stop eating it even though I was full It takes a while to get your food so be prepared to wait a few minutes, but it's worth the wait! There aren't any chairs or tables by the truck to eat, but there is always the option to eat in your car, bring it home, or even eat at a near by park. They serve the meal with a sweet sauce and spicy sauce and definitely give a higher fried rice ratio compared to the meat. But, I was able to drench the sauce in the fried rice and eat it alone as a second meal. Personally I could do without the shrimp tails but it didn't bother me enough to lessen my review! I was really excited to try their food because the last time I visited a hibachi truck was in 2020 during covid, and I was very disappointed at the quality of food that I bought. So anyways, I had heard good things about BachiXpress, so I finally gave it a try, and I fell in love! I got the Filet Mignon & Shrimp plate, and the portions were HUGE! I had enough food left over for lunch the next day. Their fried rice is  my fav, I love to mix the yum yum sauce and Sriracha to the rice, and their veggies are so fresh. SO BOMB! Had it twice and been solid quality every time. They're always polite and it might take some time for them to cook it but I like knowing my food is fresh. Huge portions but it's not cheap. Mine is usually two meals anyways. I placed a phone order went to pick up my items. drove home only to not have actual chicken in my yakisoba chicken bowl. He claims he packaged it himself and it was mixed in accused me of picking out the chicken. I don't know who has the time to pick out chicken from their food and complain. Our go to spot for Hibachi take out. Their plates a huge and will feed two people comfortably. I usually order the combo plate that comes with Steak, Chicken, Shrimp, garlic fried rice, and grilled vegetables. it costs about $37 for the plate but worth every bite. I usually get the steak done Medium. Order ahead of time since the food takes about 25-30 minutes to be ready so order and prep accordingly. Friendly service. Will definitely be coming back here as long as they post up here. read more

Ok, I ate twice at that truck, the food was surprisingly good it actually had flavor the first time I ordered. I went in person- the only downside was it was highly pricey, I paid about $42.00 dollars- I think the bottle of coke was $10.00. Uuggh, I almost fainted -but I do have to say that first time got me hooked. The sauces have so much flavoir and yes I ate that food and still had left over for next day- I coulndt stop eating the rice. The second time I ordered I went a little bit on the lower price, but it was not the same- somehow the flavor was not there as the first time I ordered, I think they changed chefs. I felt like the quality was not there I still spent about $25.00- not sure if I want to go there again- it was so good the first time, second not so much, maybe the third will be good again. I've had their food a couple of times. Food is good, service is good. I usually call in my order, and it's ready by the time they have said. I've had their chicken, shrimp and steak plates. I personally would go for steak but the plate for steak is pricier. So my go to is chicken plate. Portions are big, leftovers to take to work. Not a fan of the orange sauce or noodles. They are always very nice over the phone and in person. read more

Stopped by last night and no way a plate this expensive tasted this mid! There steak was chewy and took forever to break down to eat! It was basically cardboard! I saw on another review they justify their prices becauss of high quality costs, but that did not taste high quality at all. to mention the portions are subpar! First, I asked for these thick, succulant noodles that i saw a picture of displayed on the front of the truck, this foo gave me some chow mein lookin' noodles. 2ndly, i paid a whole $30!!!! It felt like i'd bought groceries for the whole week. All jokes aside, i thought the portions were going to be generous, but guess what? this foo gave me a bunch of veggies with very little of everything else. It is like 10 pounds of rice mixed w canola oil.. small amount of steak and shrimp.. what I got looks nothing like what I saw on reviews ... and it was 40 dollars!!! The food was pretty ok for a food truck. Had the chicken plate. The chicken was ok, just a little dry. The fried rice was good. as were the vegetables. There was no line, food is freshly cooked so I hadw to wait 15 minutes. The chicken plate was posted as $16.00, and when I ordered I was asked if I wanted to pay cash or card, I said cash. I was charged $18.00. I asked if there was an extra charge because I used cash, and I was told no it was tax. Then I stared wondering why they charge 12.5% tax. I looked at my receipt and I noticed I was overcharged 44 cents. When I picked up my food I said I was overcharged 44 cents that wasn't tax. I was then told it's because they had no change. I said they should have said so to begin with, and I would have had no problem paying the extra. I gave one star because honesty is very important to me. I will never return. Perhaps that may be why that truck seems to have such few customers. read more
