This business listing is in north Long Beach but I've been catching them at the Traffic Circle location in front of CVS. Al pastor tacos are my go-to at $2.50 each. On my first visit, I was delighted to see they come with piña (pineapple) and guac. The second visit, I must have showed up too late in the evening in the middle of the week when all the pastor was shaved off and they reheated the meat. The pieces were a bit overcooked and too crispy that I didn't enjoy it. My third visit, the pastor pieces were larger yet tender but there wasn't any guac on the tacos. "The Hook Up Food Truck" (Their words, not mine.) What a great find by our friend! She posted and we went. However, the location she went to was on 4400 Los Coyote Diagonal Traffic Circle (near CVS). Both that spot and this one open at 5PM for dinner and late night eats. If you want a lunch spot, they have a truck at 1787 E 28th St, Signal Hill, CA, open from Noon-5PM. You have options! This truck is parked on Artesia Blvd near the parking lot for Big Saver Foods. This location is in North Long Beach. They have one 6 ft table and chairs as well as extra chairs along the edge of the sidewalk. We ordered our staple... Al Pastor Tacos + Horchata. These Street Tacos are $2.50 each, a little pricier, but I'd say they're worth it. They didn't skimp on the meat. Each taco was filled with Al Pastor, guacamole, pineapple slivers, onions, and cilantro. What I really appreciated was that the meat was flavorful and there was more than one little piece of pineapple on the taco! A highlight of the meal was their salsas! We always bring our own because we like the heat. We gave theirs a try and really enjoyed them! In fact, we didn't even need to use ours! They have 3 different ones, each unique. I poured a little of all three on my tacos, so I can't tell you which one was the spiciest. I'd recommend taste testing each just in case. I didn't see a Trompo for the Al Pastor. Not sure if it was because we were early or if they don't have one here. There's one at the other truck. When we come back, I'll check for it. A gentleman chatted with us, he was very friendly! I believe he was the owner. I think he said his Dad or Uncle runs the truck near the Traffic Circle. He asked us about other taco spots and wanted to know which were our favorite and worst places. We couldn't remember the bad ones because we just never go back! LOL! He's got a good thing going here! If you're near any of these places or looking for some good Mexican food, go check them out! I've been coming to 600 tacos for a few years now which is a local family owned business here in Long Beach. There are two food trucks and the original location is near the Traffic Circle ran by the father. This second truck is located in North Long Beach on Artesia blvd which is ran by the son. Both locations are consistent in fast service and the same food quality. The food never seems to disappoint as I always go for the asada fries or the chicken alambre. Mexican comfort food at its finest and most convenient given if you're in the East side you can go for the first truck or near the North come to the second truck. They accept phone orders and apple pay as well. The location is not in the sketchy part of the North or anything. The truck is located outside of a super market and they have these little lights that hang on the truck as well as some seats while you wait for your food. I paid my first visit to the 600 Tacos Truck #1 in Signal Hill recently for lunch. They're a rad taco truck that posts up in a couple different spots throughout the day. They've also got a second truck that posts up in North Long Beach for dinner service. Here's my lunch haul. If you' e never had one, a Mulita is two corn tortillas with meat, cheese, and any other fixing between them. I got mine with carne asada, cheese, guacamole, onions, and cilantro. The result is a savory, cheesy, creamy delight that slaps. A huarache is similar to a sope. The difference is the type of base used. For their huaraches, 600 Tacos uses fresh made fried corn tortilla which is flat, long and in the shape of the Mexican sandal. It then gets topped with beans, meat, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole. It all comes together in a large and delicious meal that's crazy satisfying. I chose Al Pastor as the protein. I love the sweetness in the marinade and the extra flavor from the pineapple. Pro-tip...legit Al Pastor will have pineapple. Truck 1 can be found in Signal Hill for lunch near Best Buy Monday-Friday, 11a-4p at 1787 28th St. (right outside Parts Plus). Then dinner service at the Traffic Circle CVS, Monday-Thursday & Sunday from 4:30p-11pm and Friday & Saturday from 4:30p-12am. Terrible customer service from the owner. Negligent. Ordered online for convenience. Placed the order at 6 pm. food was to be ready at 6:25. When we get there they didn't even know the order was made so we had to wait another 20 min to get our food. On top of that, the owner tells me their website isn't updated so I couldn't get my three 600 burritos wrapped with cheese. I placed a $77 order and the owner insisted I pay the extra $6 for cheese even after the Inconvenience. How is their negligence my fault? I wouldn't recommend the burrito. Gave this taco truck a chance today. I'll start by saying that it's a nice and clean taco truck. The people working here are really nice and outgoing When reviewing taco places I get a taco of each meat, to see which one I like the best and a carne asada burrito, just because I could eat burritos everyday. I'll keep it short. Out of Carne Asada, Pollo , Al pastor, and Chorizo. Chorizo was my favorite. The Chorizo had a great taste, flavorful with a hint of spice. The other meats were okay. Chicken was better than most places I been to. It was not dry. Al pastor was also good, it had a great taste but something was missing, I couldn't figure it out. My least favorite was the Asada sadly. It simply was just missing salt. Now the burrito, I'll start off by saying I don't like beans so I took them off. I don't know if that changes anything because for a $10 burrito it was kinda small in size. Keep in mind that I'm comparing it to other places I been too. Always pass by this taco truck on Los Coyotes and my love and I decided to give it a try since we didn't want to drive to the taco truck on Long Beach Blvd. We got 3 carne asada tacos, asada quesadilla, bean cheese and asada burrito, asada fries and a horchata. Everything was so yummy! Their orange sauce is fire both taste wise and spice level. I could not stop eating it.
