Fist time going inside the restaurant. I placed a pick-up order and was ready when I arrived. Even though there was a good amount of people eating and in line ready to order, the cashier was friendly and efficient. Luckily, they take tap, I only took my phone hoping they would. They have an extensive food menu, aguas frescas, tap beer and micheladas. The environment was family friendly, ambiance was great! I recommend the chilaquiles and wet burrito. I have been curious about this place as I pass by it all the time. We went in and it was clean and new. You place your order at the counter. We got our complimentary chips with beans and cheese. I always judge a place by their beans and these were delicious. I ordered the fish taco combo. The fish was light, the sauce was super flavorful can it came with rice and beans. My partner ordered the BRC burrito and he loved it too. He said it was the best Mexican food he had in a while. Two Jamaicas, two meals and free chips for under $30.00. Very fair. I am downgrading my stars unfortunately. I can't eat anything that is spicy or hot. El Picosito is not a place I frequented before, but I recently went in and had al pastor tacos and a wet carne asada burrito. Based on these items, El Picosito is one of the tastiest burrito and al pastor spots in Long Beach and probably the best one in North Long Beach. This place is absolutely worth it. The red sauce doesn't taste like it came from a can and it almost has a molé quality to it or a hint of canela flavor. It's sooooo good. Also, the red salsa is excellent.
