Hands down to the best fusion breakfast/brunch spot in Long Beach. Ive been here twice (after seing them in KTLA 7 News) and its worth all the complements. Not sure how chicken should be cooked, but you really got to try their fried chicken and their waffles. We had the mimosa (pineapple), but there are other flavors that my frineds tried and it just sits well with out choice of meal. Mat was awesome in service. Very hospitable, chill and just welcoming. The place is really chill, no entitled approach and just most of the patrons are relaxed. Taking their time savoring the good food and enjoying each one's conversation. Parking is a bit tricky, but I dont think anyone notices that there is a parking next to it (on the right side) looks like an alley way. read more

Such a great spot to eat! Unlike other breakfast spots we've tried! My kids even finished their plates and that's so rare! We ordered the BOMB crispy chicken sammich (spicy), sweet breakfast for the kids (they killed it and the Belgian waffles were fire, the belly bomb panini, and mango lemonade. We were NOT disappointed. The service was awesome. It wasn't packed (we got there around 9am) and the food didn't take long to make. All around great experience! We were so full! read more

Had the biscuits and gravy and shared an order of the sticky mango pancakes. Everything was excellent. Highly recommend! I did feel that the pancakes were a little too sweet. But they were mango sticky rice sweet so it was expected. the staff was super friendly and the food was served quickly. The environment is cozy and gets really packed on the weekends. read more

Amazing service and food! I especially love the Thai tea with matcha foam. I did pickup so I couldn't stay long enough to enjoy the restaurant itself but from what I saw, it looked spacious and cozy! read more

Good food and reasonable prices, this is a great place for breakfast. Located at the former site of Sweet Dixie Kitchen, it carries over some of the tried and true, and adds some asian items as well. They opened just before the pandemic and have been able to weather through. They serve Peerless coffee out of Oakland and I was really impressed by the cold brew. It has serious notes of chocolate and, sacrilege to my Portola, is the BEST COLD BREW I HAVE EVER HAD. You'd think its sweetened, but its not. For the food, you can't beat the biscuit sandwiches, which come with roasted red skin potatoes. I've also tried the spinach omelet and the kale salad that came with it was incredible. The sausage biscuit comes with 2 sausage and is best eaten with a knife and fork. Highly recommend. read more

Good food and good service. Tried the French toast bites Sausage breakfast sandwich And breakfast panini with my food companion. All parts of the meal were good. The breakfast panini wasn't as appealing but was still something I finished 80% of. Definitely recommend this spot if in Long Beach for any reason read more

Service- The girls working were nice but the food took over 30 minutes to come to the table and it wasn't a packed house. Maybe too busy with door dash orders but based of other reviews this seems like the norm. Just a preference of mine I don't like to eat at restaurants with dogs. Waffles were burnt when they came out and chicken was crispy on the outside but not seasoned at all. Potatoes just ok didn't seem fresh. The bomb omelette was average also made with meat that was not freshly prepared. The biscuit was good. The highlight of the meal was the lemonade Nice layout to eat the inside of the restaurant seems cozy outside was picking tables and fold up chairs read more

Starting with the good: service was fast and good. Many reviews said they had waited around 3 hrs and we got our food under 10 minutes I say just go on a good day. The ambiance was good comedy everywhere very good place to catch some laughs. Now lets get to the real stuff the food. The potatoes are not crispy instead they are soft they have a weird taste it tasted like herbs some sort of herb. The waffles were soggy and not crispy the waffle sandwich was just pure egg and ratio was bad but overall it was good. Cranberry juice is delicious and the orange juice tasted like orange juice just not sweet. sausage biscuit was delicious no complaints. people were very nice. There were dogs everywhere if you don't like dogs DO NOT COME. Love y'all tho. read more

This place is so cute! Me and my girlfriends came on a Saturday morning. We found parking not too far from the location and walked right over without any problems. The cashier was so friendly even though he was clearly busy running out food, cleaning up tables, etc.. (sorry I didn't get his name) There's a cute patio outside where you can sit but me and my girls opted to sit inside. The food was delicious and the price was typical for what you pay to eat out these days. Definitely worth checking out! read more

After seeing Arize Bistro on KTLA morning news, we made the trek to Long Beach! Arize Bistro did not disappoint! The owner was gracious, the service was prompt and the food was delicious with generous portions! We ordered the chicken and waffles with potatoes and the chicken with rice and gravy. The chicken was delicious and not greasy. The waffle was flavorful and we definitely wanted another portion of rice and gravy! We took the leftovers home and ate them for dinner reheating the chicken in our air fryer! It stayed perfect! We will be back! read more

The chicken and waffles are probably the best in LA county. Definitely not stingy on the portions either

One of the best kept secrets of DTLB- or Long Beach period it's in the cut off the beaten path- so paid meter parking is available but keep cautious because the meter maids are always up to monkey business in these parts! Everything is good and as the cashier mentioned that they were never built nor prepared when their secret was let out by one of the many social media minions. That being said try everything, eat everything but beware of the wait ! read more

Stumbled upon this place during our overnight stay here. Place is simple but clean. Ambiance is very relaxed and comfortable. The food was alot!!!! Considering the price of what we paid, they give you alot of food. Excellent flavors and quality. Hope to come back someday! read more

I'm definitely keeping this one on the list of places to keep supporting. Currently patio seating is the only option here, but it's actually perfect and quite peaceful. Kinda a basic breakfast for us this time, but everything about it was very tasty. Omelette was delicious, potatoes were flavorful, but the side salad...omg, that was my favorite part. I may go back just for the salad. All in all, a lovely and enjoyable meal. Service was great too! read more

Sometimes you win some and sometimes you lose some but this was a big loss!! I think Tik Tok and Instagram over Hyped this place the videos and the pictures you have thought that you were about to hit a goldmine of food extacy, and well I was super disappointed I must say the hostess at the front Desk 5 Star and her recommendation of the Watermelon Lemonade spot on and deserves 5 stars, but I wasn't here for the lemonade I was here for there coveted Chicken & Waffles!!! She took our orders and sat us down... with 5 minutes we had our drinks and for lunch we can early just in case this place was packed... It wasn't packed, which should have been a godsend, but check this out.... Arrival time with order 11:42am and we didn't get our food till 12 45 you would probably think maybe my friends order was the reason the food took so long but he ordered an omelet so not sure what happened!!! The potatoes were hard and very few on my plate. Waffles were soggy, and the chicken tasted like they were deep frying fish in the same basket with my chicken overall, not a good expirence. I wouldn't recommend the chicken and waffles, but my friend said his omlette was good. read more

It's a small little spot very cute. My grandfather got some crispy chicken with rice and a salad which he loved but the rice was very spicy, came with the gravy which is delicious. I got a breakfast combo. I think pretty good wish the potatoes had a little more salt, but overall we loved the chicken really good the waffles I wish they would've added some fruit or something on top but overall good spot to go to to get some breakfast and a cute little date. This place is kind of a fast, casual set up where you order at a counter, grab a seat, and the food gets brought out to you. The weather was pretty nice so we sat outside on the patio where there were a few tables. We tried the Hot Asian omelet and The Usual plate and our food came out in about 10 minutes. The Usual plate was pretty basic but the omelet was super tasty with some unique Asian flavors. Overall, this place is decent and their menu has quite a few options, so it is worth checking out. read more

Ordered the sausage egg and cheese biscuit. The biscuit ate the size of what you buy at the grocery store from philsbury Biscuits. Eggs are fine not too much cheese and the sausage had no flavor at all. Potatoes and you only get 5 boiled like potatoes that have no color or seasoning at all. All these photos are closeups since they serve the food on 6inch paper plates. Not worth $8.00 Thai Ice tea was ok but 85% ice in the drink does not make it worth $4.50 All this for $14 is just not worth it at all. You would think that the biscuit could be bigger and the drinks could be 20oz instead. While other places are packed and this place is empty explains everything. read more

The star is for the tasty butterfly rose lemonade. Other than that the breakfast was so disappointing. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich which was served with maple syrup (really weird slimy maple syrup) instead of the traditional jelly and was made with cheap lunch meat and fake oil cheese. I had exactly 9 pieces of potato that were barely warm and way under seasoned. It was actually the worst Monte Cristo I've ever had. My husband had the It's the Bomb omelette, once again the ham and meat inside the omelette is just cheap lunch meat and fake oil cheese. He had a few more potatoes than I did but still barely warm and unseasoned. I have no idea how they got all these high star reviews and we definitely won't be coming back. read more

Arrived at 10 am, seated at 11:45, and by 1:15--still no food. When we asked for an update, we were told it was 'coming out now' but continued waiting even longer. Amazing all around! Great food & variety! The owner & servers are all great people bistro has wonderful vibes!

Had to wait 10 minutes in the hot sun before we could order. Inside was hot and loud, and no air movement. It took nearly 20 minutes to receive chemically tasting iced coffee, and almost warm orange juice. They didn't let me know at the ordering counter that the water is self serve. The eggs had zero seasoning and had the texture of instant egg mix (think McDonalds - but worse). It was all served on paper plates that barely held their form. The worst potatoes I've ever had. 5!36 were hardly seasoned, barely warm and soggy. My breakfast sandwich had bread that was pre-sliced, and the egg like substance they put on it was not sliced through at all. It had the tiniest amount of sauce on the bread too. read more

We had a wonderful time here! I love thai flavors so I was itching to try this place when I saw it on Tiktok. It seems that it's only a 2 person operation, but we went during a slow period so that didn't affect our service. Our food was ready within ~10 min after ordering. We ordered the Monte Cristo, Mango Pancakes, and Chicken and Waffles. I would really recommend the Chicken and Waffles, it's very crispy and flavorful. The Monte Cristo isn't battered but more of a french toast which is fine but we found it too cheesy for our preference, yet still delicious. The person who took our order (who I assume is the owner) was very kind, very hard working, and had a great vibe. Overall, it's was a delicious meal and I'm definetely coming back :) read more

What a lovely, small restaurant.. I I was visiting from Las Vegas on Christmas and they were the only place open within walking distance from my hotel.zzz I was so grateful they were open and that they weee very dog friendly as I had my mini schnauzer with me. You order at the counter and the. They give you a number for your table and will bring your food to you. I ordered coffee and the $15 Usual breakfast with 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes, kale salad and a biscuit. Everything was really good. The potatoes were very large, and my over-easy eggs were cooked perfectly. The owners were super nice and we chatted for a while my additional to go food was being made. The side patio is small but cute and perfect for small to medium dogs to be with you. The sign on the door says to get your place in line via their website, so I imagine they get super busy for brunchh, especially on the weekends.. Having such a lovely experience on Christmas at Arize, I will definitely be back next time I'm in town read more

Having been to this bistro a couple of times, I can say that I am a fan. What I especially love is the hospitality (you are treated as a family member here) and the ambiance. It feels like you are entering someone's home. Or a lodge in the mountains. Or a cafe (albeit, larger) in some parts of Europe. It is casual and sweet, and a great place for long-time friends and lovers. The menu is wild -- an interesting mix of Asian, standard American and European. The basic omelette, which is my favorite thing on the menu, is reminiscent of a French omelette. Quite curious, though, is that it is served with a salad that has what tastes like a ginger sesame dressing -- and is amazing! And is a must! And I have gone back JUST to order the salad. But, yes, a mishmash of flavors. Wonderfully, so, however. The food servings are good for the price points, save the waffle bites. Those are pricey for the offering, but they are mighty good. And this is coming from someone who absolutely detests a sweet breakfast (or a sweet anything; I prefer savory 95 percent of the time). If you enjoy eggs, you must check this place out. Their eggs are light and heavenly. Flavorful and smooth. Good stuff -- just the way I prefer my eggs. The only things that appear hit and miss (in my experience) are the biscuits, which may be a bit dry, and the potatoes, which can be a bit flat in flavor. Other than that, I have been very pleased with the bistro and the caring and attentive team. Also, FYI: you can book a private event at the cafe -- business lunches, receptions, weddings and the like. And it seems it would be a glorious place for an evening birthday bash, if you could take over the entire restaurant. Any way, bookmarked and a favorite. I am looking forward to the next visit. read more

I've only been here a couple times but everything is delicious! Every time I have guests in the morning I recommend Arize Bistro because they have great food at a great price and the portions are pretty big so you could even share (but you're gonna want to keep your plate to yourself, I promise!) I've tried several different food items and have never been disappointed, the biscuits and gravy are absolutely delicious and I get them in addition to my regular meal. I really like the Sweet Breakfast and my friends love the Waffle Chicken Sammich! The interior is so cute, random little nicknacks, amazing soft morning light, fun colors and interesting pieces of furniture decorate the space. It's eclectic and vibrant - I just really enjoy the vibes and energy of it all. The service is great too, they do get a little busy but they keep you informed of your wait time and are seriously super sweet! read more

I've never been a huge brunch person, but this was some of the best brunch food I've ever had. It was my first time here and the cashier was super nice and informative. We ordered at the cashier, she gave us a table number, we sat down, and then she served our food. Me and my partner ended up getting: Crispy Chicken Biscuit Sammich (10/10) - chicken was fresh, savory, juicy, with the right amount of crunch. The sauce that comes on the side with it is the best sauce I've ever had and added more flavor to the chicken which made it taste better (sauce tasted like a spicy, sweet, garlic aioli) Monte Cristo (9/10) -Best combination between French toast and a ham/turkey sandwich. Can't wait to go back and try something new on the menu! read more

This spot is so cute! The service is spot on and welcoming. The warm has a lot of delicious fruit to add good natural flavor. I was here for lunch and found a lot of delicious offerings. Breakfast options are still available even on a weekday lunch, which I certainly appreciated. I chose the healthy crab omelet, which comes with a side salad and biscuit. When the food arrives, I notice the sizable omelet. The crab isn't cooked in, rather it's a provolone omelet with crab sandwiched between. I was a bit disappointed by that as that meant the flavors didn't come through as well. Some salt could have helped, too. The salad is well tossed with dressing that complements the omelet well. The biscuit was fluffy and amazing. It's a great spot to dine. I was able to get some work done, too. WiFi is available, so that's a bonus. read more

I was really looking forward to eating here and I am still in shock about the entire experience. Let me say this first the people who work here are very nice and they have good coffee. That is the only positive thing I can say. We joined the waitlist this morning at 10:09 and had a projected wait time of 30-35 minutes. We did not get a table until 12:00pm. (Looking back at the 45 minute mark or 1-1/2 hr mark we should have left, we kept thinking we are going to get seated and again excited to try the food from a review) We ordered food at the counter and didn't receive our food for another 1 hr 20 minutes. (We were only a 3 person party btw) Our food arrived and the French toast was undercooked and the equivalent to 1 regular piece of bread (cut up into tiny triangles to try and make it look like more) I ordered my eggs scrambled well done and they were undercooked as well. I asked to have them cooked more and they were returned still undercooked. Our total time for this experience was 3 hours and 40 minutes and our total time eating was 20 minutes. I rarely do negative reviews, however I truly felt the need to post this experience. Also we were not alone in this situation the table next to us had the same wait times for table and food and we were sharing our experience. Again the people were nice but their wait list system is clearly incorrect and the food was not worth the $ or wait. read more
