I'll admit it I hang onto my phones longer than most. I was at work and happened to look over at my 5s phone only to notice a bulging screen. I immediately shut my phone down and was shaking my head. I really didn't want b spending $$$$ on a new phone quite yet. Fortunately I had taken my phone o this shop about 3 Yrs ago to have the battery replaced. A-Plus has fixed what supposed "Genius" Bar said could not be repaired or quoted triple the price to repair. Went here a couple of weeks ago because my boyfriend recommended this place. My MacBook Air would not turn back on due to water damage on the keyboard. Apple's earliest appointment was 2 days later and they were not helpful whatsoever. Apple would only repair the battery if I also invested nearly $1500 in water damage repair (which wasn't actually hindering the operation of the computer). I took the machine to Aplus and they looked into the damage and deemed it minor, repaired the battery for less than Apple would and returned it to me in about 36 hrs. This is the spot for broken iphones! I took my sons iphone with a cracked screen here a few weeks ago. I had called around and these guys were the cheapest and are right in Encinitas, and they're open til 7. They fixed the screen quickly and they were professional and friendly. That same old phone had its backlight go out so I called them (expecting no action) and since I had just been there they said bring it in. They said it'd be around $50 but since I had been there recently they might only charge for the part (around $25). I took it in, they popped it open right when i walked in a cable had come loose, they fixed it for free! They easily could've charged me or made something up about needing parts etc but they didn't. I keep coming over and over again (because I keep cracking my iPhone) with these people because they are awesome and know what they are doing. They are reasonable in their pricing. I don't have anything to complain about them and I do have many compliments to them. I had taken my iMac to the Genius Bar at the Apple Store. The girl their seem like she didn't know what she was doing or she hated her job. She looked at my computer and told me that the hard drive was bad even though her diagnostic said it was fine. This place has unsolicited 5 star reviews for a reason... they work professionally, efficiently, and very very cost effectively. My MacBook began to have issues and wouldn't turn on, and I regrettably did not have a backup of my hard drive. I was anticipating having to pay a chunk of money to get my data recovered, and I was stunned at the high cost of repair when I got a quote from an Apple-authorized repair store. After a quick yelp search, I found Aplus and their overwhelmingly positive reviews, so I took my computer in. They did the job for a fraction of the cost of the original quote, and in a remarkably short amount of time. I would highly recommend them. I came on a weekday for iPhone battery replacement because it didn't hold a charge. They are very experienced; I was in there for less than 15 minutes. Prices are reasonable. Street parking was not the easiest but all in all it was well worth coming. read more

I've gotten told the importance of getting AppleCare o phone insurance before, but sit down and look at what you're paying for. It's like a $150 deductible, plus the cost of the insurance. Meanwhile, places like Aplus Electronics are out there who can replace your entire cracked screen for $99 or so. Your battery is starting get crappy and run down all the time? Just pay $40-50 to get a brand new battery put in. These parts are cheaper than what the insurance would cost you. And you're short on time? Aplus turned around a screen for me in less than an hour. Just enough time to rack up a few beers towards my 80 beers in 80 days at Encinitas Ale House. Perfect! read more

I lent my Macbook to a friend and it was returned to me with a damaged screen and cracked frame edge. The screen started "spidering" and I only had half a working screen. I went to Apple where they told me it would be $900+ to fix the screen and the frame edge. I was at such a loss I didn't know what to do. My screen progressively got worse and I stumbled upon this place by accident actually. I wouldn't actually call it an accident, ill call it fate. I dropped off my Macbook yesterday after I was told itd be $230 for both repairs so it was definitely a no brainer; $900 VS $230 um YES please! About 4 hours later it was ready! I was out of town so I picked it up today... WOW just WOW! They seriously went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me, they not only fixed my screen and replaced the frame edge (which they recommended cause I didn't know could even be replaced) but they went ahead and cleaned my laptop and made my laptop look brand spankin new. These guys are really A+++++++! I stopped by this afternoon because I had something stuck in my headphone jack of my iphone 4S. Lint? Gum? Dunno. All I know is that I couldn't get it out with a toothpick or compressed air. Jerry took care of my iPhone right on the spot! I really like their location. Too bad I already had lunch, they're right behind Honey's Bistro and that would have been a good opportunity to stop by there for a bite. Great service! I was stressed. I had a pretty badly cracked screen on my iphone5 (chips of glass falling off) and was worried that I might have done damage to the actual phone itself (it was acting up after the initial hit especially the touch areas around the crack.) They said "no problem." I was a bit skeptical. They took my phone, promised 1 hour, and I left. Palms sweaty. I got back - probably a little early given my anxiety- and voila! Good as new and the price was only $100. If you think of your phone as an extension of your body, these guys are the guys to trust it to. (I guess that says a lot about me... :-)) read more

This place is great. I took my iPhone4 to Verizon because I was getting a weird message that said, "This accessory is not optimized for this iPhone" Popped up all day. Verizon could not fix it and because the back was cracked they would not replace it. I could however use my insurance with a $166 deductible. I know of A Plus Electronics so I called Jerry. He was open on Saturday so I took my phone to him. I was going to just have the back glass replaced because even though he could replace the port which he said was the reason for the pop up message if the back was fixed Verizon may just replace it and I would not have to pay $70 for a new port. He fixed the back glass in less than an hour and when I returned he said he even opened the phone and checked the port and everything and he said it was fine. He could have totally told me it was the port and I would have had him change it if Verizon did not replace my phone and even though he did not do anything but change the glass the message no longer comes up on my phone and it is as good as new for $50. Bottom line, fast service, very professional, great location and Jerry is extremely honest. I will definitely send everone I know to him. read more

My son dropped my iPad 2 and shattered the glass on a Saturday morning. Fearing that a repair would be as much as a new iPad I searched Yelp for some recommendations. I found A Plus and texted Jerry. He said he could replace the glass for $150. We dropped off the iPad on Saturday afternoon at 3:30. Jerry said he would have it ready by Monday or Tuesday. He did warn us that the corner had been bent so it may not look brand new but he'd try to fix the corner. By Monday at 1:00 he called to tell us that the iPad was ready. He even fixed the corner. Fantastic service and Jerry knows what he is doing. From now on, I am going to bring all my Mac products to Jerry and telling my friends to come to him.
